Mysterious Sea Creature Spotted in North Carolina! What Is It?

A mysterious sea creature was spotted off of the coast of North Carolina. This video, posted by Chasing Tails Outdoor Bait and Tackle located in Atlantic Beach, was captured by Daniel McGriffey and it gained hundreds of thousands of views in just a few days. People were baffled trying to guess what the mysterious sea creature was, even drawing comparisons to the Loch Ness Monster. Sea monster sightings have been around for centuries, and almost all of them can be explained by the sheer fact that there are large scary monsters in the ocean that we might not be aware of. The kraken turned out to be the elusive giant squid. The sea serpents turned out to be oarfish. Mermaids turned out to be manatees, somehow. And the North Carolina sea monster turned out to be, drumroll please, a baby whale. As explained by wildlife expert Ron McGill from Zoo Miami, what people saw in North Carolina was none other than a baby whale coming up to the surface for some air. Yes, whales do breathe, they have lungs, they don't have gills so they can't absorb the oxygen in the water. So sometimes they have to come up to the surface for some air. And if people see them, even for just a second and record a video of them, they're going to go viral because people love sea monsters and they want sea monsters to be real. But in this case, it wasn't, so we just gotta wait until the next video comes out and maybe there's a real sea monster out there, who knows. But in this case, it was just a baby whale.
