You see how beautiful this leaf is. It's a perfect leaf. First, we notice the top side
and the underside. The colors are different. The top side is darker, the underside lighter.
The leaf is divided by this noticeable vein in the middle into two parts,
and it is a little bit fuller at the root and sharply pointed and turning at the tip.
The leaf grows out from the branch, so they will be coming out initially like this. So you will
see a foreshortened look, something similar to this shape. If the leaf is facing us,
it's like a heart shape, isn't it? Where we see the left side, right side, and then we see a valley
on top. It is like the flower petal, but with a tail. Change to a large orchid bamboo brush.
Wet the tip, pick up the light green, one third into the bristle, and tip one quarter,
touching dark green. Below the flower, there is a stalk, and we like to plant this leaf
on top of the stalk. I do it the same way as I did with the flower petal,
using the side of the brush. One quarter of a circle. Press and lift. Turn the brush
vertically naturally as I lift to taper the shape to a finer point. Since I like the leaf to fold,
I want to suggest the length of that fold by moving the tip along the top side over to the right,
and then turn the tip angle a little bit,
reverse the scoop, turn the brush vertical, and lift. What a beautiful point!
