Due to a general strike at the Milan Scala, the Puccini concert "Homage to Puccini" with choir and orchestra under the direction of Riccardo Chailly and the soloists Anna Netrebko, Jonas Kaufmann and Mariangela Sicilia, planned for November 29th, had to be cancelled at short notice. However, the audience was offered a modified program with the soloists, accompanied by James Vaughan on the piano, which was entirely dedicated to Puccini.
