Royal Provenance & The New York City Skyline: A rare pair of Patek Philippe Wristwatches

#AntiqueClock"Sotheby’s offered two outstanding Patek Philippe wristwatches. The first is a Patek Philippe 1518 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in rose gold, produced in 1948. This watch has a royal provenance, directly from the family of its original owner, Prince Tewfik Adil “T.A.” Toussoun of Egypt. The second watch is the Patek Philippe 5531R-010 World Time Minute Repeater, an impressive and rare rose gold world time minute repeater wristwatch featuring a cloisonné enamel dial depicting the Manhattan skyline, circa 2017. Both timepieces were set to be auctioned on December 9, 2021, in New York.
