Ultra-Rare Cartier Cheich Watch Sets New Auction Record

The only Cartier Cheich in white gold to exist is officially the most valuable wristwatch by the French maison ever sold at auction.

Just five iterations of the ultra-rare timepiece were ever made, with this fifth example commissioned in 2010 for renowned collector Giorgio Seragnoli.

It stole the show at the Sothebys Hong Kong live Important Watches sale following a frenzied sixteen-minute bidding battle between collectors online, on the phones, and in the room.
