We Had a Mommy Daughter Date!

Today we're having a girl's day. What do you think, Story? Should we do that? Oh, I'm gonna burn your pancake. We could do whatever you want all day. So I think Story's perfect day consists of eating pancakes for breakfast. You want your pancakes? They're really hot right now. Taking a nap. Going to the park with her friends, getting acai bowls with her friends. I wanna just take Story out and have a fun little girl's day. We're definitely gonna go shopping because that's what girl's days basically are made of. Shopping. We might hit up Target, Sephora. Those are some of our favorite stores to go together. Maybe HomeGoods. We love a good HomeGoods day. But actually, for real though, I don't like doing errands unless Story could come. She loves being pushed in the cart and she looks around. She waves to a bunch of people. And it's just so fun having a daughter to run errands with. This is like what Story eats every day. She likes raspberries, eggs, pancakes. We also did some pomegranate seeds. High five if you think it's good. Listen, Story, we're gonna go get acai bowls after this with your friends and go on a walk. All right, I just got in my car. I'm meeting up with some of my friends. It's actually really fun because I have a lot of mom friends right now. So we meet up every once in a while with the kids and we just go on walks. We go get acai. So we're gonna start out our day by going and getting acai bowls and it's gonna be so fun. Look who's here. We got, oh. Story's ready to eat too. She's in her little stroller. Why are you guys such a vibe? Oh my gosh, I love him. We just ordered our acai bowls. I always get Story her own because mine always has peanut butter and honey in it and I don't wanna risk giving her peanut butter or honey because she can't have that yet. But I'm gonna set her up in her little chair and then she'll eat her acai and she loves it. Yeah, Story, are you dancing? Story. So now we're taking the kids on a walk and we have the cutest little wagon. They're all sitting in it and they're looking at the ducks and it's just such a great day. Story, are you with your friends? Oh, JJ. Oh, let's just sit by Story. Story. Oh, there you go. There you go. Oh my goodness. You guys are so cute. Story's like, oh, I feel unsure. Do you see the duckies? Whoa. Look, they're literally coming right up to us. What? Do you see the ducks? Say hi, duckies. Say hi. It's funny, because after all the years of infertility, I just dreamed of simple days like this with my baby and here we are, simple, fun days. Hanging out with friends. Now we're gonna go to the park and just play. It's just such a good day. Days like this is what I live for. Go, Story. You wanna go high? This is our warmup for every workout. Yay, Story. Woo hoo, you're bouncing. Bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce. Look, we're laying in the grass. This is the best birthday ever. What do you think? Is this the best day ever, Story? Yeah. Yay. You're such a big girl. We just got done at the park. And I deserve a little treat. You know, when you're a mom, I feel like something that I developed a habit of is getting a soda. I used to not be a soda drinker, and now I feel like I just deserve a little something. Something with some caffeine to get me through the day. And so I just got a Diet Coke at McDonald's and I'm picking it up right now. Then I'm gonna put Story down for a nap when we get home and get some stuff done around the house. Then I'm gonna take her out. We're gonna go shopping. It's gonna be fun. Oh my gosh, that hits the spot. She fell asleep in the car. We played too hard at the park. That is the cutest thing. I love when she falls asleep in the car because it's just so cute. She falls asleep and she lays on me and then I just lay her down. I just love her. I love being her mom. Story is up from her nap. She's been eating her lunch. She ate everything off of her tray. She has one little bite left. Do you want it? Every time she eats, I always do like a little dance performance for her and sing out loud. And it's hilarious to see her reaction. So I'm gonna turn on a song. Mom's a little crazy, Story, isn't she? Mom's a little crazy. This is her view. If we work into it, there's no fight we can't. This is literally an iconic song. You have to know it, right? Brings you bliss and I really hope you get it and you don't live to regret it. She thinks I'm crazy. Sorry guys. All right, me and Story are about to go swimming and being in the pool. She just woke up from another nap. She takes quite a few naps during the day now and we're gonna go swim. I've actually been so impressed with how much Story loves the water. Like she loves bath time. She loves the water. We actually just started doing this thing where we get a bowl. We just fill it with water and she splashes around in the backyard. It's so cute how much she loves it. I hope she's always a water girl. Splash, splash, splash, splash, splash. Splash, splash, splash. I wanna talk also about how much fun it is to have a daughter. Just like all these things that we've done throughout the day just bring me so much joy. She is seriously the best gift in the world. I could have never imagined that I would have such a sweet girl and she's just the best. We really are like best friends. I love taking her everywhere with me. We just have so much fun. She wants to swim. Let's go, let's go. It's days like today that remind me how much I love being a mom and I especially just love being her mom. I feel so grateful for her and I love her so much. We gotta prepare her because I have a feeling that soon we're gonna be going on some fun trips where she's gonna need to be in the water a lot. So I hope she loves the water still and keeps on loving it as much as she does now. This is the cutest thing ever. You have to see it. Ready? Come on. You're so big. She likes to splash in this bucket of water. Here you go. Yay! Splash, splash, splash. It's kind of funny seeing her play in the water because I feel like as a mom, I used to think I needed all these extravagant toys for her to play with, but really the things that she loves the most so far are like boxes, empty boxes. She could play with those for hours and of course, just a bowl of water. She just plays and splashes. Is that fun? Oh, Banks, are you peeing behind her? Dory is awake from her nap and now we're gonna continue our girls' day. We're gonna go to a couple of different stores and shop around. What do you think, Dory? Should we shop around like girls do? First store is Dick's Sporting Goods. I'm gonna see if I could get some new socks. I'm really needing some new socks. I didn't find anything in the first store, so now we're gonna head over to Sephora. Look for some makeup. I found a really good blush. Do you wanna hold it for me? Can you hold it? Thank you. I grabbed some Patrick Ta products and fun fact, Patrick Ta actually used to do my makeup before he became big. So, Patrick, if you're watching this, you're awesome and I love all the products. They're all so good. We got a bunch of new products at Sephora and I got 20% off because apparently they're having a sale right now, so I was like pretty pumped about that. Okay, we're done shopping. She actually loves shopping with me. It's like the cutest thing ever. We might go to Target later and then we also are probably gonna swim in a little bit, but she really is just like my little shopping buddy. It makes life so much more fun having her around and I just love carrying her around. She just loves looking at everything. She's so well behaved in the stores. It's just so cute to see.
