So we came all the way out here for this view of coconut trees.
They just go on and on forever and it's absolutely beautiful.
Isn't that beautiful?
They are very persistent with their bamboo straws.
As soon as we parked, it was just a mob of people.
Kids, adults, probably 15 people trying to sell us bamboo straws.
They're $2 for a bundle.
And we wanted to get them anyways because Chloe's been having trouble drinking without a straw.
But man, they won't leave us alone.
We're trying to enjoy the view and it's nothing but bamboo straws, bamboo straws.
And we already bought one. We don't need any more.
Bamboo straw is a success.
So a little further down from that viewpoint is the Mason River, I think that's how it's pronounced.
And we're going to stop down here and see what we can do.
So there's this whole village along this river and different activities you can do.
So we're going to walk around and see what we can find.
So this looks completely awesome.
There's a tire swing up here, there's a palm tree you can jump off of,
and there's some boats that you can go on a tour to what they call the most secret lagoon.
So we may do that later on.
This is a cool little place for us.
Thinking about trying the swing.
But I'm a little terrified.
Should I do it?
Chloe wants to do it. Chloe, do you want to do the swing?
I think it's too big for you, buddy.
I don't think I want to try. I don't think I'm brave enough.
Yeah, watch Daddy do it.
On a 10 scale, how good was that?
It was amazing.
So the tire swing is awesome. Obviously my landing was 10 out of 10. Perfect.
Don't you think, Alexa?
Yeah.
Chloe's really sad because she can't do it.
She's been really wanting to do the tire swing.
But it's definitely fun.
So we rented this little boat and we're going to go down the river to this secret lagoon.
And it's supposed to be beautiful and hopefully we'll be able to swim once we get there.
But honestly, this boat ride in and of itself is just perfect. It's awesome.
Chloe has been doing so good because she's been so friendly.
Thank you.
Did you have fun, Chloe?
Yeah.
Chloe and Alexa are always famous everywhere we go.
They want to take their picture. People gather around taking pictures.
It seems like everyone always remembers their names, which is always fascinating to me
because we'll come back maybe an hour later and they'll be like,
Hello, Chloe. Hello, Alexa. Don't they love you?
Yeah.
So we had an awesome time at the river, especially the canoe ride.
It was just absolutely beautiful.
The water was freezing, but felt nice considering how hot it is.
And now we have a long, hot ride to get back.
And hopefully it'll be partially shaded because we've had too much sun today.
All right, so we are eating at our favorite restaurant tonight.
Alexa's favorite restaurant because they have a TV here.
But you just pick out your different parts that you want
and they bring your rice with it and it's really delicious.
This is my favorite restaurant because there's a TV.
So that restaurant is super cool because it's just someone's house converted into a restaurant.
They just happened to have a house near the main street, so they converted it into a restaurant.
And they kind of make up batches of food and you just kind of select what you want
and pay per dish.
It's crazy cheap. It's anywhere from like $0.40 to $0.90 per dish.
So for the four of us to eat, the grand total was $3.
So we keep driving by this little stand that's cooking something with coconuts.
The fire is out of the coconut shells.
And it smells ridiculously good every time we drive by, but this is the first time we've stopped.
And they're actually making bread.
So they're little rolls with the coconut flesh put inside and cooked right underneath the fire.
And they are ridiculously good.
I'm kind of bummed that it's been four days and we're just not discovering them.
But I'm sure they're quite healthy.
Give me a thumbs up.
