In today's video, we're taking you inside Angelina Jolie's stunning Los Feliz mansion,
a property steeped in history and purchased with her children in mind.
This isn't just any home. It's a $25 million estate that once belonged to a legendary
filmmaker, making it as iconic as the actress herself. Angelina chose this incredible property
back in 2017, strategically located just 5 minutes from her ex-husband Brad Pitt's former home,
ensuring her 6 children could easily remain close to their father.
Set on over 2 acres of lush gardens, this 6-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate offers breathtaking
views of the Griffith Observatory and the ocean. Complete with a tea house, home gym,
swimming pool and a charming blend of classic and modern design, this home truly reflects
Angelina's life as a devoted mother and Hollywood powerhouse. Stay tuned as we explore how this
perfectly caters to her family's unique lifestyle and her vision of creating a beautiful private
sanctuary. Angelina Jolie has lived a life of glamour, adventure and motherhood, and her real
estate journey reflects each chapter of her story. Over the years, she's owned and lived in a number
of stunning properties, from sprawling family estates to chic urban retreats. During her
marriage to Brad Pitt, the pair amassed a collection of homes across the globe.
What might be the most famous of those is Chateau Miraval, their breathtaking 1,000-acre estate in
the south of France, which the couple purchased in 2008. This picturesque property features a
historic 35-room mansion, vineyards producing award-winning rose wine and endless rolling
hills. The estate became a symbol of their family life and even served as the venue for their
intimate 2014 wedding. Closer to home, Angelina and Brad also shared a lavish compound in Los
Feliz, Los Angeles. This property, which Brad purchased in the early 90s, evolved into a
sprawling family haven as he bought neighbouring parcels of land over the years. The estate
featured multiple homes, a skate park and expansive gardens, a perfect playground for their six kids.
Beyond her life with Brad, Angelina has had her own impressive real estate ventures too.
In 2003, she purchased a stunning modern mansion in the Hollywood Hills for $3.75 million.
Known for its sleek lines and open spaces, this home reflected Angelina's edgy,
unconventional style during that period of her career. She had also acquired a New Orleans
mansion with Brad, a $3.5 million property located in historic French Quarter. This home,
which dates back to the 1830s, combines southern charm with modern elegance and was later sold
in 2016. In addition to these properties, Angelina has owned several other homes,
like a Manhattan apartment and a remote property in Cambodia, which she still uses as a base for
her humanitarian work in the region. Her Cambodian estate holds special significance as it's near the
area where her son Maddox was born and it allows her to maintain close ties to the country.
Angelina Jolie has been making headlines since moving into her iconic Los Feliz mansion in 2017.
This home, chosen for its five-minute distance to her ex-husband Brad Pitt's house,
was intended to keep the family ties and give a stable environment to their children.
While Brad has since relocated to Carmel, California, Angelina remains
at this property, which holds a fascinating history. Purchased for a record-breaking $24.95
million, Angelina's estate is none other than the historic Cecil B. DeMille Estate,
named after the legendary Hollywood filmmaker who once built it home. Built in 1913,
the Italian Revival-style villa spans over 11,000 square feet and boasts six bedrooms and ten
bathrooms. Restored over six years before Angelina's purchase, the home combines old Hollywood glamour
with modern amenities. Situated on 2.1 acres of landscaped grounds and the exclusive Lolland Park
community, this estate offers amazing views of the Griffith Observatory and Pacific Ocean.
The main house, with its 7,500 square feet of living space, features intricate architectural
details that reflect its storied past. A grand foyer greets visitors with a curved staircase,
double-height ceilings, and dark hardwood floors, while neutral walls and glass doors
brighten the space. Common areas include a step-down living room with fireplace,
a mahogany-paneled formal dining room, and an updated kitchen with white cabinets,
marble counters, and a vintage range. The kitchen's casual dining nook is set against
arched windows, and it makes for a cozy spot for Angelina and her six kids to gather.
Upstairs, the bedrooms and art deco-style bathrooms maintain the estate's timeless charm.
Angelina's master suite here includes another fireplace and a private terrace,
offering stunning views of the Griffith Observatory. Other highlights of her home
include a spacious library with burgundy velvet seats, a family room, and an adjoining office.
Beyond the main house, the estate offers a range of luxury amenities. A separate poolhouse has a
gym, while a teahouse and guesthouse provide additional spaces for relaxing and hosting.
The grounds feature rose gardens, mature trees, and winding pathways that lead
to a stunning swimming pool surrounded by arched fountains.
Interestingly, one of the smaller homes on the property was once occupied by Charlie Chaplin,
adding to the estate's rich Hollywood history.
One of Angelina's personal favourite features of the property is its tranquil outdoor spaces.
I love most that there's no entertainment room,
but lots of pathways and places to walk and think, she said.
Winding paths, the trees, those rose bushes, all of this creates a serene retreat
where the actress finds peace and inspiration.
Angelina's Hollywood golden age home is not only glamorous, but it's a sanctuary for her family,
and a place that reflects her love for history and nature.
