Japanese Curry Ramen! Wood One Ramen Review | Where to Eat in South Florida

Everything's awesome. This has been great. I'm so glad we came here now. I know I got a spot right in my house What's up, we're going to get some ramen today, let's see how it is should be awesome. I Don't know what I want because they all sound so good I think I forgot to mention but this place is in Hounddale Beach on Hounddale Beach Boulevard Right in the plaza where the five guys and the most bagels is let me show you the menu real quick These are the appetizers right here We get some takoyaki, I think some shrimp shumai and then whatever else Christie's assistant wants This is the ramen choose your bra choose your protein. It's got the pork bone bra the tonkotsu or Tonkotsu, I hope I'm saying that right The miso Japanese curry show you I got some vegan options, too For those I've been asking on tik-tok And you choose your protein pork chicken tofu Every noodle soup comes with toppings eggs beansprouts spinach mushroom seaweed sweet corn snow peas scallion fried onion fried garlic The usual I'm gonna get my little pork belly Cuz I have that option If you look on the back you flip it over it says extra with charge to some pork belly And they got some rice platters they have one that unagi donburi the eel rice bowl that sounds so good Do you see it? I think I want to try that And they got a couple desserts And I think they've recently changed the menu. I saw on Instagram probably for the corona just very fair, but everything still sounds awesome So yeah, all right. So we got the shrimp shumai the pork gyoza Like I said any time I go to get Asian food, and they got gyoza Or dumplings 99% chance. We're gonna get Kristy assistant got the pork bone broth with chicken. I got the Japanese curry with pork belly And then we got the chicken katsu curry Which all sound awesome, and I got a boba tea to try it cuz I've never had it, but I had a mango flavor so Why not? Might as well make it today to try for the first time. Let's check it out Mango boba milk tea boba tea is the same thing you told me it's my first time having it, so I don't know Besides that little spill It's really good I'm gonna start with the Fried pork gyoza. They're so tiny They look great though There's I don't know what's on this. It's it's Yo, that is perfectly done it's not super greasy Not too fried 10 out of 10 for that pork gyoza Now we got the shrimp shumai. I love these little things And they gave us four pieces of this. I think it was like Both of these are six the shrimp shumai and the pork gyoza These would be good for somebody who's not into seafood because it doesn't have an overly shrimp taste and it's nice and Chewy I was just gonna say that Christy's sister beat me to it. She said I don't know she was like, I don't know which one I like better. I Don't know. I love both. I might have to go with the fried pork gyoza and this is great too The like mango flavor is subtle. It's not Like very it's not sugary candy flavored mango syrup, you know, like artificial mango That's not bad. All right, so the food just came we got the I got the Japanese curry with pork belly. I love pork belly Christy Simpson got the tonkatsu, which is a pork bone broth with chicken and my stout smells like a Like an Indian curry almost right it smells and it tastes like it and I love that because I love Indian food I don't know what it is. Exactly. I mix it tastes and smell like that But I love it And then we got the chicken katsu curry With the basically breaded chicken over rice with a curry sauce Where's the chili oil? Let me get some of that chili oil, please Yeah Gotta throw that in there Can't have this without some chili oil and although Robins come with egg bean sprout spinach mushrooms seaweed sweet corn snow peas scallion fried onion and fried garlic Got a nice fat piece of seaweed The first thing that popped into my head as soon as I ate that sushi right That's such a distinct flavor to it Seriously, I wonder what they made the Japanese Katsu, I mean, I'm the Japanese curry ramen that I got Cuz it tastes so similar to Indian food When there's a little bit of a spiciness that like stays in your mouth, but you don't realize that while you're eating it So it doesn't bother you doesn't Take away from your meal. I Love it I'm gonna try Christy Sisson's tonkatsu You know, that's so good. I Think I like yours better. I Love them both. They're both awesome. I have some on my chin Dude but this is amazing Asian food is just you can't touch it like nothing competes with it. There's other great foods, but like Something about Asian food, I don't know what it is It is it's just I should have been Asian. Is that what you said? Maybe Somebody adopted me So I want to go pick up a piece of chicken. I just realized That curry sauce is underneath all of it That curry sauce and the chicken katsu is delicious The mango milk tea is awesome. The passion fruit milk tea is awesome Tonkatsu ramen is awesome. Japanese curry ramen is awesome Chicken katsu is awesome. Everything's awesome. This has been great. I So glad we came here now. I know I got a spot right near my house If you couldn't already tell I Loved all of this. It's all good. Everything we got was good I'm definitely gonna be coming back to the takoyaki. I'm definitely gonna be coming back to the eel rice bowl I'm gonna go back for the mochi ice cream this I can't believe I like it as much as I did this mango milk tea and Yeah, check this place out. It's worth It's worth visiting.
