I'm going to show you how to make one of my favorite morning smoothies.
It's really simple, it's really yummy, and it's really healthy because it's packed with fiber,
it's got tons of phytonutrients, lots of different colors, mostly green though,
plant-based protein to keep you nice and full, healthy fats for healthy skin, healthy hair,
you're going to love it. So let's make it! Okay so you'll need a blender and we're going to pop
in our leafy greens. So you can use any leafy greens, I'm using spinach here, you can use kale,
arugula, whatever you like. I've got some cucumber. Cucumbers are super hydrating and make sure you
keep the skin on because that's a source of silica which is a trace mineral, great for hair.
I'm actually using frozen avocado, it's just so easy and I like to keep my fresh avocados
for guacamole. We've got our more healthy fats and plant-based protein. Hemp hearts are very
anti-inflammatory. Next up we've got our celery. I know there's a lot of celery nuts out there.
Pineapple, so this will give our smoothie a nice natural flavor, plus pineapple is very
very anti-inflammatory due to the phytonutrients it contains. Some more fiber with flax. Flax is a
very hormonally balancing food, you don't need a lot, a little goes a long way. Some fresh mint,
I love putting fresh mint in because it's so refreshing. Some cinnamon, cinnamon is great
for blood sugar control, although this smoothie is quite blood sugar balancing because the only
fruit we have in here really is the pineapple. And then the final ingredient is some sun butter.
You could use any nut butter you want, I just am making this nut free because I use a lot of almond
butter in other recipes. The other nice thing about sunflower butter is if you're a peanut
butter lover and you want to take a break, this tastes like peanut butter. And then finally our
liquid, you put as much or as little as you want, just depends how thick you want it. I don't like
my smoothies super thick, like I'm not eating this with a spoon, I want to be able to slurp this. So
I'll blitz it up and if I need to add some more liquid I will, but this looks pretty good. This
is a smoothie for one, serves one generously. You could share it if you want, but you don't have to.
Now I'm going to give it a little taste test because I have no banana in here, let's see
how sweet it is. And if I want it a little sweeter I could put some stevia or monk fruit.
Mmm that's really nice. You know what, I don't think it needs anything. I think it's perfect.
Let's give it a try. Well we already know it tastes delicious. I make this one all the time.
