Hello fam, welcome to my first YouTube video in this kitchen. I'm so excited and
I love that my first video is going to be a juicing video because juicing is the thing that
got me into this healthy lifestyle. And we're going to be making lots of juice for the week
because as a mom of two and a little tiny baby, I now more than ever need to prepare beforehand
to ensure that I am eating healthy and that I am drinking fresh juice and getting in all my fruits
and veggies, not just for myself, but for my whole family as well. I'm going to be using the Nama
juicer and the new attachments. I'm going to be showing you all the new accessories,
which are so cool and they make batch juicing so much easier for everyone. They really thought of
everything in creating these products and I'm just so grateful to them for making these types of
things that make life so much easier for us and make it easier for us to be the healthiest,
brightest people that we can absolutely be. You can get 10% off all their juicers using the code
JovanaFam, including this one that I will be using, the Nama J2, and I will be linking everything in
the description of this video. All right, today we're making two types of juices. So let's get
started.
This citrus juicer attachment is honestly amazing.
You're not only saving money because you don't need to buy an extra appliance, you're also
saving space in your kitchen and it's a great size.
Like it's not too small, it's not too big, it's like the perfect amount to either make
a little bit of juice or make a larger batch of juice.
So I honestly love that Nama thinks of absolutely everything and this new cup is honestly a
lifesaver because I always found myself like putting it into like different pitchers or
like the blender cup and things like this.
And now I can just take this out and make a bunch of juice.
Now we have fresh orange juice for the week.
Look at this beautiful color.
You can totally tell the difference from store bought versus freshly squeezed orange juice.
The one at the store looks like yellow.
Like this is so, it has such a bright orange, it smells delicious, and I need to try this.
Salud!
Wow, that is so good.
It's crazy how just one ingredient can taste so amazing and like I feel, I can taste so
many flavors in my mouth and it's just orange juice, but the quality is just, makes a world
of a difference.
So one thing that really helps me to stay consistent and eating healthy is to prep in
advance, especially now that I'm a mom of two, I'm a lot more busy and prepping in advance
has become so essential because I'm not only feeding myself, my husband, now I'm feeding
my daughter too.
And soon I'll be feeding both of my daughters once Amara is a little bit older.
And this new attachment for batch juicing from the Nama juicer is absolutely genius.
I mean, the Nama juicer was already made in such an amazing way to make it easy to make
lots of juice, but this allows you to make even more juice quicker.
And the best part is that you don't even need to cut anything.
Like you can just put whole apples in here.
I just cut these huge English cucumbers in half and I'm going to put them straight in
here.
I just fill this all up, turn it on and walk away and I can do other things around my house
or the kitchen.
So to make it even easier on myself, this is just an extra tip, is that I went to Costco
and I bought everything there.
I love Costco because they have wholesale fruits and veggies, and there's a lot of organic
options.
The celery, it's already washed and just ready to put in the juicer.
The cucumber, it's all you do is rinse it really quick, cut it in half.
I'm going to add some green apple to add some sweetness, but not too much sweetness.
And then I'm going to add some ginger because ginger is great for digestion and some lime,
which is a boost of vitamin C and it will also help preserve the juice for a longer
period of time in the fridge.
So this juice, I find that it stays well for about five days.
And that's because the Nama juicer is a cold pressed juicer, which means that the fruits
and veggies are cold pressed and it's not oxidizing your juicer.
I have a video here on my channel where I compare a centripetal juicer, which is a fast
juicer and cold pressed juicer, the Nama, and I explain everything there on why you
want to use a cold pressed juicer.
Okay?
So that is why I love the Nama.
We're going to make lots of juice and I'm going to be storing it in their new cups that
I showed you before, that they are beautiful and they're great for on the go.
So it's really easy to place the big cup, just like the Nama, the original cup.
Listo.
Ready?
First, I'm going to juice the apples because I want to juice all of these apples.
Dorian's favorite juice is apple juice.
So I'm going to preserve some apple juice for him and then the rest is going to be used
in the recipe.
Let's do this.
One, two, three, four, five, six, like medium sized apples, which is great.
Turn it on.
I've never done just like pure green apple juice.
Oh, that is so pretty.
Now I'm adding the rest of my ingredients.
You can also feed the juicer through the hole.
So if you're here next to the juicer and the juicer is fully, you can, the cup has a hole
that you can feed it to.
Okay?
So that makes it quicker too.
Another thing I love about the Nama juicer is that it sustains high amounts of juicing
capacity.
I've had many juicers throughout my 10 plus years of juicing.
And so many of them, like after just making, after making juice, like it just doesn't work
that well.
Like in so many juicers, like after half an hour or so of remaining juice, it just doesn't
work as well.
Like the fruits and veggies start getting stuck in there.
You have to like put it all apart and then like clean it out and then do it and use it
again or like let the machine rest for a little bit.
And that is not the case with the Nama.
Like you can make so much juice and the machine just like keeps on going.
All right.
Our juice is done.
Look at this beautiful green goodness.
It smells so good.
So fresh.
I made this, you guys, in like 15 minutes, which is amazing.
And another thing I love about the Nama juicer is that it's so easy to clean.
And the next accessory that Nama came out with is this beautiful strainer to make your
juice even more smooth.
So there's a little bit of pulp left over up here, this little foam that you see.
So you can pass it through here to remove all of that.
I'm going to show you right now how that's done.
But if you don't mind it, then you don't need to use it.
So as you can see right here, there is the fiber up top.
And so now our green juice is going to be super smooth.
Another thing I love about this big jug is that it just makes it so easy to pour the
juice and there's no spills.
All right.
So we have our juice.
I have one, two, three, four, five green juices for the week.
This is going to be for me.
And then I have these orange juices.
I had a lot more orange juice, you guys.
But when I was making it, my daughter was here.
She was drinking a lot of it.
I drank some of it.
So now we don't have as much, but we still have a lot for the rest of the week.
That took me less than an hour to make, which is amazing.
And it's just so worth it.
And this is going to last me fresh in the fridge for a few days, which is amazing and
saves me lots of time, lots of energy.
And it was also so fun to do with my daughter.
This is such a great activity that you can do with your kids.
And I noticed that when I involve my daughter in the kitchen, the more that I involve her,
she wants to eat it.
She wants to drink these juices because she was making them too.
She was part of the process.
And this juicer is super kid friendly.
There's no like sharp blades or anything.
You don't need to worry about them getting hurt.
So it's another plus.
And if you want to try the Nama or any of their accessories, use my discount code,
