what if I told you you could turn a shoe organizer into an advent calendar would you believe me in today's video I'm gonna share with you some amazing Christmas crafts that I bet you have never seen before and that you'll want to recreate today here on the makers going to learn YouTube channel are you guys ready let's dive in all right my friends this one right here is going to blow you away because if you're anything like me you want your kids to have something super special when it comes to an advent calendar so what I want to invite you to do is to grab a shoe organizer and we're going turn it into an amazing Advent calendar that you can go to places like Dollar Tree Dollar General the dollar spot at Target and you can fill it full of plenty of different items that your kids will want to enjoy this Christmas season you could put different activities in different days we have some different de uh reindeer food that we've made there's so many fun ways that you can kind of give a spin to Advent that isn't giving your kids C every single day I think you could do as simple as a little you know Christmas Carol in one of the days and practice the song as a family or a bobble verse or anything like that and space it out with different treats different activities and have it go the entire 25 days which is super super fun and the way that we really elevated this is by taking the felt letting the Cricut cut it out and then creating different silhouettes of the sand of the snowflakes of the Snowman and being able in the Reindeer and the trees sosing out the numbers and then using heat transfer vinyl to put it on every single day that is the hardest part of this project is cutting the felt and designing the numbers but it is the most fun part of this entire project and having an advent that you can keep and reuse year after year I think is really important and think about it all you're going to do is store the pieces of felt in one Ziploc bag together and then bring the shoe organizer out and put it away in storage super simple be able to reuse and have plenty of space in each one for whatever you may be thinking for your Advent this year this one right here I think you're going to be a huge fan of this is bow Garland made completely out of paper hot glue and Jan everyone can do this and what I love about it is think about it grab three of your Christmas colors so whatever three Christmas colors you got pick those out in card stock and then look you've got your own Christmas uh Garland with the bows in your Christmas colors so don't feel like you have to use these colors use your Christmas theme colors I think two or three colors maximum to make the best Garland you could put this over your fireplace your mantle um I've put these in so many different places sometimes I like to do Garland over my uh kitchen Windows different things like that to just add a Holly Jolly vibe to your Christmas spirit is what you need this holiday season so if you want to make Garland very affordable very cheap grab the maker going to learn bow be able to make a couple of these add it to the J and you've got some amazing bow Garland this Christmas all right my friends I'm a little partial to these silhouette ornaments mainly because it's my own kid's face but I love that you're able to take a little silhouette from a photo of your kid or your grandkid or whoever and then all you're going to do is use Cricut and we have a full project tutorial coming for you so when it's available I'll link it um but we're teaching you exactly how to use the little photos of your kids and turn it into a silhouette so it's super super fun there's two different ways you can make the ornament One is using a true frame which I think is super cool and then this one is only using card stock so again super affordable super cheap and easy to make I love having a lightweight Christmas ornament and this one's pretty big whereas this one's a little heavier and it's a little smaller so it really decide on which one you're thinking but both of them you cannot go wrong whichever one you want and once you learn the technique once you can rinse and repeat for many different kids in many different years and I'll probably use this technique for a lot of other projects too do you want to make a Santa cam ornament this year what if I told you we let the Cricut cut wood for this adorable little Santa hat then the cricket cut the felt Cricut cut the vonnel of course for the Santa cam and then we just added the lens so that your kids this Christmas will know Santa's keeping an eye on them on the Christmas tree I think this one's one of my favorites I love the Santa cam I'm always partial to these different ornaments and I really really love it and I think you guys at home will too so definitely make this let the Cricut C that would if you are wanting to test your Cricket maker using that knife blade you could even use an explor with deep point blade with certain types of material so just be sure to know which one is cutting for what machine but you can do this project no matter what machine you have which is one of my favorite things about the project I saved the best for last today because I love this hot cocoa snow globe that you are going to want to make right away we were able to grab this adorable little cont container it feels so like expensive just because the container feels that way but it wasn't it wasn't much too expensive at all we're able to fill it with the cocoa add the marshmallows add the ribbon creating this Dome is my
