What about this one at the 4th?
The lengthy path rate?
Yeah, find the green.
Pick your moments to attack.
Oh, pin in a narrow part of the
green zone. That was wonderful from
Svensson. Hardest on the golf course
yesterday, the 4th, 250 yards is 235 today,
but whatever the number is,
it doesn't matter to this man.
We would say aggressive, don't we?
Tell me just going at the pins,
I presume.
Given trying to find his birdie.
Left to right good pace on this one.
Sometimes they just look correct
as soon as they're struck.
Hillary.
Come fast, this is down here.
Touched it.
Oh yes, Shane.
There was a strong Irish contingent
here in Dubai following their heroes.
Feeding back down towards this.
Rear pin position and in.
Two in a row.
Bringing a smile to Rasmus's face.
To where we find Alderson green end.
Desperately trying not to drop a shot.
Which he manages.
There is no one better on the
greens than Torbjörn.
My start line.
And it's in a nice finish line.
Head center.
Hot on the greens today.
Larry, he's been aggressive.
So this right hand pin.
Course as well as any.
Pops it straight in the middle.
It's an easy hole played well from Shane.
Allison now his compatriot.
Super.
Can't do no more than that.
They say it's always tricky to read.
Sweetly struck.
You can see as it's going into the grain there.
It's turning hard right.
Just enough pace for Tommy Fleetwood
to find the bottom of the cup.
At the 7th, the power 5 is third mind.
Birdies on his card so far.
Should run out coming out the rough.
And it does sit to
little bank there to hold out.
Now the change of grain there.
Pin in.
Oh, and the ball is in what a wonderful three.
Needs to be as well.
Flags on the front here.
Can he stop it?
Yes, he can.
Great shot.
Fleetwood maybe just looking
at the yard or two left of it.
Well, well, well,
didn't birdie this hole last year.
Didn't birdie it yesterday.
I haven't found anything in my birdies.
What a beautiful shot.
See how hard he hit that, everybody.
Looked good all the way, didn't it?
Two birdies in the first three holes
for Rory McIlroy,
and he opens up a two shot lead.
Down the green, quick putt on the 6th.
It's going at a rate of knots as well.
Such nice flow can really chase after.
It's not scared to take a little
off it as well.
What a repertoire, what a shot.
Birdie putt loading.
Oh, joy.
Fades it off the tee and then a
gloriously controlled short time
with a bit of draw in it.
Finds a little ledge at the back
and rapturous applause.
The wind quartering from his right,
which is ideal to fight against his fade.
That's the result.
Superb attacking his back pin.
Well, he can do what he wants
from this first cut 192 wearing.
7 iron.
When it's your day, it's your day.
When it's your week, your month,
or maybe even your year.
It's sort of been easier already, isn't it?
This could be a little Christmas bonus.
Rosner to get the 700 glassy.
It's beautifully read.
Died it into the cup.
Front pin.
Matt Wallace.
Oh, right over the flag, my goodness.
Pause it in.
Sold a second.
This the birdie putt of Rosner.
Moted that wasn't it?
Racing my goodness dead center, though.
Three in the lead now.
What a way to do it.
It's good at 16 to the Frenchman.
Over the tree over the water
for Rosner to the back pin.
Oh, what a shot.
Antoine Rosner take a bow.
You heard you.
Lehman trying to to putt this
final hole for his birdie.
Which he gets.
So a drop shot at 17 gets it straight back there.
It's a round of 67 for Joachim Lehman.
And he is very much in the hunt
heading into the weekend.
Yeah, this is never an easy one to judge on 14
down that green to this pin position.
It's quick, especially the last end of it.
Hello.
Oh, poor Werry.
How he knows these greens,
but you still got to hit them.
He's going to pinch himself,
so he's going to wake up sooner or later.
Putt for eagle for Nicholas Norgard.
I'm afraid it's had a pretty wretched day
to this point.
An eagle class for a round of 74
for the long hitting Dane.
He was admiring it and rightly so.
These are some very nice shots.
I have to say, lovely trajectory.
Well struck solidly.
Needs a bit of luck here.
And he's got some.
I think he thought that was wet.
It's absolutely perfect now.
Higher than most.
Corresponding better result than most.
Beautiful putt from Nakajima.
Unbelievable.
Never left the flag.
3.45 with high flight.
It's soft landing.
Oh, that's a master stroke.
Absolute master stroke.
Nearly.
So that's going to be a closing birdie.
It's the second round 69.
So he moves alongside Tyrell Hatton
at eight under par.
Hatton with a chance
to make birdie and push back in front
and grab a share of the lead with Antoine Rosner.
It was a very slow start today from Tyrell Hatton.
Then he found some momentum,
but that's just a par at the last.
So he matches McElroy with a round of 69
and they are side by side where they started the day.
But instead of being in a share of the lead,
they will go into Saturday's play one behind.
Tyrell, thanks for joining us.
A round of 69, clearly not at your brilliant best today.
What was going on in the game out there today?
Pretty similar things to yesterday, to be honest.
In terms of just not feeling very comfortable.
Yeah, just every shot felt like a bit of a struggle, I guess.
See, three under is a pretty acceptable score.
All things considered, but naturally you always kind of,
you want to be better.
So yeah, I guess it's fair to say I'm pretty frustrated.
Despite being frustrated,
you're still within one of the league going into the weekend
with an opportunity to win for the second time
in three starts.
So just give us your thoughts on that opportunity.
Yeah, I mean, well, taking the positives from the two days
where I don't feel like I've played
the kind of golf I'm capable of,
and we're one shot off the lead going into the weekend.
So yeah, hopefully I can find something
and hit it a little bit better.
And that will make this weekend
a little bit more exciting for me.
But yeah, I mean, I'll go out there tomorrow
and give it my best as I have done the last two days
and just hope something clicks.
Appreciate your time as always.
Thanks, Daryl.
Thank you.
