Taking you to Sin City for some bangers. Instagram Bangers that is. Las Vegas, also known as Sin City is a perfect spot for photography and videography. I attended the WPPI Photography convention while I was in town and met with folks from Nikon and Tamron. I rode my 2020 Harley Davidson Road Glide Special to Sin City to try and bring you some unique photographs. We will even talk about my other Instagram channel where you can see photos of things I take other than bike stuff. Las Vegas City Lights are captivating. The motorcycle ride was about 4.5 hours and I show you a few interesting spots along the way while heading to the City of Sin. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe to the channel, leave the video a like, and comment below.

This channel covers a lot of motorcycle vlog type of content. We talk about all things motorcycles, product review, video editing, and cinematic type of sequences. I ride a 2020 Harley Davidson Road Glide Special and we travel to as many motorcycle rallies and other events throughout the year.
That takes you straight to the casino so I'm gonna get unloaded we're gonna go up
to the hotel room. Hello and welcome to today's vlog. Of all the time that I've
been doing content creation there's one thing I haven't done and and I really
don't know why and that's go to Las Vegas. And if you can imagine right now
in your mind all of the Vegas City Lights and the potential for video and
photography I mean it's got to be endless. So more on that in a little bit.
Now this might be your first time to the channel if so welcome. All I ask is that
if you enjoy any part of this production that you hit that like button
down below. It helps spread the message around helps build the channel and I
would greatly appreciate it. Leave your comments below on when last time you
went to Vegas was. We're gonna jump on the bike right now I'm gonna show you
the different stops along the way from San Diego to Las Vegas. It's gonna take
us about four and a half hours. Let's get on the road.
So do you see that right up there? That is the world's tallest thermometer. We're
in a place called Baker, California. We're just about a hundred miles from Vegas
itself and let's go check this thing out. So I'm really not sure on who's
responsible for measuring the tallest thermometer but yeah it's it's pretty
tall. Try to give you like a perspective here. It's way up there. So when you're
going to Vegas this is a staple that you know you see when you're coming around
the bend and you know that you're about a hundred miles away from Vegas and you
get all pumped up you get excited. And this is in the town of Baker. Very small
old-school kind of run-down town. Not a whole lot going on. Nothing really around
here besides Baker. And now from here we'll head over to State Line which is
right there at the California Nevada border. I'm gonna stretch the legs and
get back on the bike. Let's go.
Okay so we made it to State Line. There are a few casinos here but you know our
main goal is to get over to Vegas. We're like 34 miles away and we're all gassed
up. Once I get into the hotel room I'll I'll explain to you on why we're
actually here. But it's starting to get dark and I just want to get into Vegas
and check into the hotel room. So let's go.
Okay so I tried greasing the guy when I first got to the hotel. We're at Caesars
Palace in Vegas. And to see if I could park the bike in the front of the casino
because I can just come and go and it would have been nice and easy. That
didn't work very well. So I went to another guy, another valet spot at the
same hotel. Tried to grease him. That didn't work. But honestly the motorcycle
parking here. I mean you can see this is the elevator. That takes you straight to
the casino. So I'm gonna get unloaded. We're gonna go up to the hotel room. Get
all checked in and then we'll talk.
Okay let's get changed. So we're all changed up and the question being why am
I in Vegas? Well if you follow this channel and the Instagram you know that
photography is also a big passion of mine. And in order to get better at
photography you always got to be a student of the game just like
videography. So we're here for a conference. It's called WPPI. It's a
wedding and portrait photography conference. But they have everything from
video setups, camera setups, and they have booths you can test out and try new
equipment. And that's what we're gonna be doing.
But we're also in Las Vegas which means that we're gonna take advantage of the
city lights and get out there and hopefully take some photographs of the
motorcycle since we're in Vegas. I found a couple of rooftops that I'm gonna test
out tonight and see if we can get some really good photography of the Harley.
And I don't know I'm gonna take you guys with me. At the very end of this video
I'm gonna show you a few of the other still shots I took in Vegas while I was
here. But for right now it's gonna stick strictly with motorcycles. And one of the
things you should know, so obviously I have my Instagram account which is
full underscore throttle underscore hog. So if you're into photography type of stuff
and not just motorcycle photography you can check out my other Instagram account
and that's Ryan dot Anderson dot photography. And you can see some of the
shots that are not necessarily motorcycle related but that Instagram
account has more cityscapes and landscapes and night photography. I'm a
big fan of night photography and even while we're here we're gonna go try to
get some light trails on the main strip and see what we can come up with. But
let's get over to some rooftops and see what kind of night shots we can get with
the bike. Let's go. It's actually not that bad right now so I think the smart move
is gonna be to wipe it down here then in the Sun even though it's starting to set.
Yeah let's go ahead and get to work. Totally not sponsored but pick this
stuff up in Sturgis. Big fan. It is a washer, cleaner, polisher, all-in-one. It's
great to travel with. So that's just the quick wipe down. We'll see what happens
when we get in the sunlight. So where I found the location that I'm gonna be
shooting at is actually through the iPhone and Google Maps. And if you like I
can do another video on how to pick out those spots. But basically finding the
different rooftops, dropping a pin so I knew exactly how to get there. So let's
go take a look at this location and we'll get some shots of the bike.
Alright so maybe I don't do a separate video on how I found this location
because the rooftop that we need to get to is up there and this parking lot is
closed. So we're gonna have to go to plan B. I'm gonna snap a couple shots and I
will show them to you right now. This is what I came up with at this spot. It might
stay till dark actually. This is what we're working with back here and I think
that that that will light up at night and a long exposure might be pretty
about 30 minutes from the strip with a little bit of traffic. Not too bad but
the views here are insane. Check this out. We're gonna grab not only some drone
stuff but some still shots. So I'm gonna be waiting for golden hour and then I'm
just gonna start snapping away. I do want to give a very big thank you to
Tamron. They set me up with a 24 to 70 and a 70 to 200 both f2.8 and just an
amazing lens. Great sharp images and yeah let's take some shots. I will show them
to you right now. So interestingly enough what I realized here in Vegas is trying
to vlog is almost impossible when you're out in Vegas. There's always music
playing. It's really hard to do and I just kind of stopped along this trip. So
things are a little scattered for this vlog so I apologize for that. But we also
had some difficulties flying the drone last night because we were in a National
Park and you can't fly a drone in National Park. So the filming process
kind of is all over the place and that's really frustrating when you're trying to
put something together because you have an idea of how things should flow and it
just didn't work out that way. But you just roll with the punches and we're
gonna put together the best product with the footage that we have. I did take over
2,000 still shots which I'm really excited to go through. But I'm gonna end
the vlog right here. I'm heading back to San Diego. You guys thanks for checking
out. Till next time you ride safe, be safe, and we'll catch you on the next one.
