Epic Fail on Beartooth Pass featuring Her Two Wheels

All right, so I am currently in Cody, Wyoming and just woke up. Hence the gravel voice. And yesterday something crazy happened. Let's get you caught up to speed. I'll show you right now. So you really just never know what's going to happen on a road trip when you're traveling. So I just left Sturgis and it was time to push forward, go to Cody, Wyoming so I could take advantage of a Beartooth Pass. And at the gas station, her two wheels is here. She's also going to Beartooth Pass. So we're going to ride along together. What are the odds? I never have a riding buddy, so this is going to be new for me. So just like every other motorcycle road trip, the rain's starting to come. And Jess and I have, I guess I'd call this half. We're going half rain gear. We're still, I don't know, like two and a half hours outside of Cody. So we're going to continue on down the road. So we just arrived into Cody. Got sprinkled on at some times. We really didn't hit any rain on the second half. But we're going to grab food. But we have to search for an available hotel. Is that going to be possible? Yeah, I think so. I hope so. We were just talking and we were saying, hey, we're probably not the only people who decided to do Beartooth Pass after Sturgis. But while we're eating dinner, we'll check for availability. So you realize that she added a salad. I went really healthy and I got the pepperoni pizza. So I mean, we've been riding all day. I basically just added Caesar dressing. So now Jess and I are going to attack Beartooth Pass. If you guys haven't been on this ride before, it is probably one of my greatest rides in the country that I've experienced. So I'm really excited for today. We're just getting dressed and then we're going to go. We're going to get some coffee real quick. But first we have to go make sure that Jess is awake and then we're going to bring you guys with us. Hopefully you enjoy. Let's go. Rookie move. I just locked my keys in the room. Has to happen all the time. So I made a terrible mistake. Oh yeah. I locked my keys in the room. Ah, okay. Okay. So we're going to go back up, grab the rest of our stuff and then I think we're going to go get coffee. Literally, I'm going to walk out of here. Is it coffee time? Yes. It's so good. They're like, do you want room for cream? I'm like, no. Give me the biggest cup you have. I do need to recap what happened when we showed up to Rawhide Coffee. Uh, because sometimes you say some things that are funny and uh, yeah, it was, it was funny. So we go to walk in and she calls it, uh, raw dog. What were you going to, wait, what did you say? I was like, oh, Rawhide Coffee. I'm going to raw dog that coffee. Then to find out that the, there's only a screen door. So everyone inside heard me say that. It got awkward, but uh, it was actually really good coffee. And then we got some breakfast sandwiches. This is a lot of crap. So the question is for Jess, are you ready? Yeah. Are you ready to experience Beartooth past? Am I going to cry? I might cry. I'm emotional. You're probably going to cry. All right. We just got to get some gas. That's boring. I'm not gonna show it to you, but then we're gonna hit the road, get back in the sun. Hey, what's going on and show you Beartooth pass. So we're at the beginning portion of Beartooth pass. It's actually chief Joseph byway. It's all connected, but uh, we're loaded up here. It is in three, two, uh, you got to stop here. It's a must. Of course, me, I was so excited to get on the road this morning and we were exceeding 9,000 feet elevation and higher that I forgot to bring my hoodie. So I now have myself a top of the world store hoodie. So I'll put this on and stay a little warmer. One of my favorite things, uh, to do when I'm on the road is, is, is really hanging out with other creatives, watching them work. Um, we all have a different style and I absolutely love it. And it's just been, it's really been an honor to, uh, to hang out with Jess and watch her work and see how much work she she's putting in, uh, to providing y'all with the best content. But yeah, she is, uh, she is working really hard, um, to provide the best content. And, and I respect that. I, I, I respect the work ethic. It's been great showing her Beartooth Pass. I've been here one other time. Um, and we're only halfway through it, but we're gonna hop back on the road and take you down the rest of the way to Beartooth Pass. Enjoy. All right, so getting to this lookout spot, uh, Jess and I, we ran into a little bit of hail. What do you think, Jess? It sucks. Oh, it's stopping, thank God. And it hurt. But, uh, we paused. We, we were able to make it to this area, which is one of my favorite places to stop. I mean, come on, look at this view. Just gorgeous. All right, I'm gonna get some still shots. So this is a problem. We got a little bit of a problem here. We, we cannot fly a drone in this, and now there's lightning, a lot of rain coming in. I'm just going to, uh, I don't know, we're gonna have to look, we're gonna have to once again get into rain gear, but right now this is just gnarly, so. All right, Jess and I just got into rain gear because we have a long way to go. We got a long way. Especially in this, what we're dealing with. It's not good. Zero percent chance of rain today. They forgot to add a one zero in front of that zero. All right, so, yeah, you know what, sometimes that happens when you're, you know, filming videos, you got to cut it short, or we just don't get the footage that we want, but we're gonna push through. Whatever I can get along the way, I'll try to get, but we'll catch up with you guys on the next stop. So that by far had to be the most frustrating motorcycle ride that I've ever been on. Jess has never been on Beartooth Pass. We get up there and we get nothing but hail and rain. It was miserable. So we're gonna go ahead and grab something to eat, and then we're gonna close this thing out, but this place is actually amazing. This is, uh, Padua Hera. So far, it looks pretty delicious. It's hot, and the beer's good. Beer's very good. So there's that. I went with the fish and chips. Jess, what'd you go with? I had the burger. The burger. It's really good food. Bloopers. Sometimes when you take rides, they end up failing, and the one thing that is good about riding a motorcycle, even on the worst day, it's not a bad day, but I would say that today, Beartooth won, and, uh, and we lost. We just, that just means that you gotta come back up and do it again. Yeah, I definitely have to come back and do that again. I didn't see anything. Yeah, it was, it was pretty unbearable.
