DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS 2024 🔔 Traditional Vintage Rustic Decorations

[Music] feeling Al kind [Music] ofy waiting now for you to come it's cold again but I know we'll be [Music] warm it's Christmas decorating time hello guys welcome back to my channel welcome back to a brand new Vlog we've got a very exciting one today as you can see in the background I have been collecting and Gathering all of my Christmas decorations both new and old to film today's video and don't be fooled is not just this we have all of this and we have a load of stuff in the front room as well now we have um sorry I feel like I'm jumping straight into things how are we all how is everybody doing has anyone else already decorated yet this year let me know it's also the best day of the year because what starts tonight I was going to say that's love Island it's not love Island what's there I'm a celebrity get me out of there yeah you can't really sing the theme drink and you to I'm a celebrity anyway an and de are back on our TVs tonight which I am so excited for it I think I think I think it is my favorite reality TV type show um I love traitors I do like love Island as well but I'm a celebrity it just signifies that Christmas is near so yeah very exciting um and let me know if you're going to be watching it too so I have also got on my new festive cute little bear jumper teddy bear jumper from Hollister I've also got some fresh PJs from them as well which I'm going to be popping straight on this evening and I feel like I might start today I was going to do like a cozy hot chocolate but you know what I'm not feeling a hot chocolate yet I feel like I want to get cracking and maybe make one later get cozy and a bit festive later once the decorating is done going to give you a little overview with everything that I've been doing over yesterday and the day before had a huge basement organized sort out clear out and did a big donations run as well and this is everything I've kind of been left with let me spin you around and show you I want to start by showing you the gift wrapping that I've um done so basically I had this gift wrap bag which oops sorry about that guys tripod didn't hold up there as I was saying I had this uh bag full of gift wrap and bits and Bobs in there but it was just overflowing so I had a good clear out and organized with that and then I've decided to get a second one which is here which is just for Christmas gift wrap so let me just quickly open them up so that you can see and I'll leave these linked as well they are on my Amazon storefront even though this isn't festive it does need to go back downstairs but I'll just show it to you anyway um okay so this is the non-ch christmy one I thought might as well just make the green and red one the christmy on So within here I have spare gift bags gift tags in these two sections and then within the actual main body of the wrapping I've got all of the gift wraps or rolls of wrapping paper there sorry this one is all like smaller bags like gift card bags bottle bags in here and then we have tissue paper in this end section and then just a couple of little random leftover bits that just fit in this little Gap here um little happy birthday buntings and balloons and then in this box this is my box of gift cards which I always like to buy as when I see nice looking ones so that I always have um like a selection of nice CS I'm not having to just buy one last minute I've got all sorts I've got um birthdays anniversaries good luck card new home cards gift cards like where you can like wallet cards where you put money in new home um yeah loads of different ones so yeah that is everything in this gift wrap bag then within my little delord hamper that I've got this is kind of like generic all year round but it's most it's all just ribbons actually I was going to say mostly is all ribbons um so obviously not specific to Christmas all different colors of ribbons and everything but predominantly we'll use that even burlap uh promly we'll use that for Christmas bits i' also got a load of stockings here here which I might use for decorations I might also use for gifting gifts in I might use these ones cuz I've got just plain linen these are from Hobbycraft I've got enough to have one per person for Christmas day so I might do our little table gifts and each have our own little linen stocking and then I'm diying crackers as well so yeah I think that's what I'm might do this year so everyone got gets a little mini stocking of a table gift and whatever little bottle of something we just pop on each individual's chair and then let me show you what we've got in the Christmas gift bag gift wrap bag so that you can see if you interested up here we've got loads of all the kind of gift tags that I've got for Christmas um there's loads in here but yeah that's where all the gift tags are gift cards this I didn't know where to put um so I've just popped in here here for now cuz there was a nice little gap for it but I might actually put that somewhere else it's like a little DIY Advent calendar thing um caligraphy set I'm going to give it a go attempting to write my Christmas cards and labels this year with a calligraphy pen um I've got some bottle bags these ones are my favorite ones these B&M fluffy bottle bags I think how nice to gift a bottle of something in that so I've got a few of those and then also this is another one that B&M are doing this year £2 little white Santa thing on it and then the rest of it here is a load of gift bags just sat on top um gift boxes as well love these ones I think I got these from susten Gren but last year and in fact you know what I need to pay a visit to them maybe we can go in my next Vlog I've also got a little stamp and wax seal kit up here and then all of my gift wrap wrapping paper up there got a couple from last year but mostly from this year I ended up getting quite a few different ones this year we can do a bit of a mismatch but we've got some like Tartan some teddy bears then lastly on the kitchen table we've just got some salot tap which can go with the gift wrapping bags and then a couple of kitchen bits to pop away and we've got some new mugs I've got loads already in our kitchen cupboards for festive Crockery and stuff but these are some like newer editions this year love this one from TK Maxx milk Santa TK Maxx we've got glass tree to pop out tea towels and handels that I've got for this year are all here as well some T bits little plates this one's from sains spr this is from TK Maxx then over here with the theme this year being kind of like traditional and when I say traditional I mean elements of um you know like pops of burgundy but with lots of like warm brass tones as well it's like vintage traditional but made cute so we have this which I get out um every year this is from a company called Magic linen I love this it's like a little Advent Cal you can obviously use it I most often just use it for decoration got some gingerbreads some cowbells I kind of want to get some more cowbells maybe this year um got some little dark wood trees a mixture of loads of different bits we've got some frames as well this year which I've got um I just had like some old artwork that I popped in these but I think I might pop in an order with Deno cuz I know that this year they' brought out a few different um prints like christmy prints to replace other frames that I've already got out and about but I got these ones from TK Maxx I just love the kind of like antique brass frame for Christmas and this one has a little bow on the top as well we've got some antique Bells antique brass sleigh we've got these cute little stars mostly again all home scents let me show you in the front room what I've got done so far oh before I do again a reminder to yourself every year I'm going to make this a tradition cuz I totally forgot I did this iume that people have done it but I just forgot that I had done it so I think I'm going to um do it every year cuz it's just a really nice little thing to do it's a little reflective letter that I've popped in here along with some cash to treat myself to a little takeaway or something and yeah a little handwritten personalized letter from my past self to My Future Self which is now my current self see when I take the decorations down it's usually first week of January usually the first of January um and it's a bit of a reflective letter in terms of there's a few things on there that I've said um like of what I would maybe like to have done this year and I have and it's just nice to kind of look back on on that anyway the girl math mentality is that I've also my past putting money in makes me feel like this year I've got free money to spend okay we're into the front room I have shut the shutters so it's nice and dark and cozy in here and so the neighbors can't see that we're decorating this early just yet spin you around and show you what time we've popped up our ball some hill tree T so we have our tree in place every year I get this tree out I forget how big it is it is now which one is this I think it's the nor I'll try and find a link to it I got it a few years ago now so I can't remember exactly which one it is like I said it is from balam Hill it's lovely and thick and realistic I do need to fluff it out a little bit I haven't done any of the fluffing just yet the fact that it's pre-lit as well is just so convenient and easy and then I just have this wicker skirt that I got from John Lewis that I've just popped on the bottom I know there's that wire there but I'm thinking I was position it in the middle of the bay window and the wire over there to plug it in I think I might cover up with um presents and sacks and stuff I also am thinking about doing a little train track around the bottom but I don't know whether to do it in here or originally I was thinking about popping it around the bottom of the real tree that we get in the kitchen which I don't obviously get until December it's a bit too early to get a real tree cuz otherwise it will just drop too soon the last of the bits to show you here obviously I've had to move the chair over here I've of course mentioned before that I've got some ch chocolates to go on the trees this year um we've got some Hotel Chaka ones these little crackers I like to just place a few within the tree as well as these lint and then these ones from M&S I might even save these ones for again for the real tree in the kitchen and have these ones on the balam hill one in here we'll see and then we've got loads of uh bubles and decorations Within These uh har hampers unfortunately our star that we put on every year which is also from balom Hill it cracked in storage but I think we've managed to super glue it back on and hopefully it will stay so that will go on very last it will just slot in the top of the tree this is the train track that I've got from B&M we've got these of course these are the first things to go in the tree to make the tree smell amazing and smell real and these really do hold their scent every year when we get the tree out of storage it smells of these um so yeah we've got these you can just pick them up from again I'll leave them linked below from like Amazon or something but we also got a couple of cushions got a little star cushion Little Snowflake cozy cushion some more traditional ones I love this one that I picked up this year from TK Maxx or home sents uh we've got wreath and Garland I on this Edition this year which is from Inspirations wholes sailers my little festive post box how cute is that I love this so much again something that I'll be able to get out year after year after year fut editing me here just jumping in cuz I just saw this post box and it just reminded me good ideas well if you want to get on board with the reflective letters that I'm going to carry on doing this tradition every year I might store them within this post box I think that could be a cute idea to then if I want to have a look back at them they're all stored in one place and then lastly for a new thing to add this year which I have played around a little bit with I'm not sure if I'm going to commit or not but I got this shredded paper from Home Bargains I think I'm going to start with the silver one and just SL like slightly drape it amongst the branches sorry I feel like this vloggy angle is not best is it just like a nod to the traditional tinsil without it being full-blown tinsil and of course the last thing to do before we get started with a little Christmasy festive time lapse is to pop on some Christmas music or Christmas scene of some kind squid game is there a new one coming season 2 coming 26th of December oh my goodness I loved squid game so much oh that's so exciting I remember when they when they um filmed it and it was like all the everyone loved it and they said oh there is another series coming but it's not for a couple of years yet so you've got a long time to wait I was like no that time has now come already let's pop on the fireplace oh yeah [Music] cozy What a Feeling now it's time for Christmas and Christmas is my favorite time of year it's beginning to look like all my wishes are coming true that's why I cheer I've been busy decking the halls I've been kind to big and small and now it's time to have a merry holay What a Feeling when it's time for Christmas let sing a car and we'll bring it here I guess that's spring and summer they're all fine but I've been waiting for the season that's mine so let it come yeah let it come I think for now what I'm going to do in terms of this wire is actually pop one of the hampers down there cuz I do think although I use them for storage for the decorations we got stockings in here like the big sacks with our initials on that I don't need really until um like in a few weeks time when I start wrapping it so for now we could just pop behind here the hamper and then I've got this cushion as well how about if we set a cushion on top kind of traditional cute bringing the burgundy in although I do feel like that my little post box is kind of hidden I'll leave it there for now and we'll see how we go that's how that little corner is looking over there right now onto the board balls this one's from dun Elm and I feel like that's definitely going to go on the tree it's like the epitome of what the theme is this year so I have quite a lot of BBL from previous years which very much fit the white company Aesthetics very neutral and I might even switch up a little bit and maybe do more of that theme on the real tree so I'm going to save a lot of these BBL for that but I feel like I'm going to pick and choose the more antiqu BBL for in here like this one I think this one is from Neptune um or even these ones with little beaded decoration but that are a bit more like brassy antiquey so I'm going to pick and choose those ones I've even got a couple here like crackled with an antique brass topper so little ones like that are really pretty to add in the mix so I have this bble selection to choose from oh cute so definitely adding this on my first little family pick together in this little frame some mistletoe I think that one's from Neptune as well actually um okay and then so we have that ball selection to choose from but then we have the more traditional type bbls in here I know it's in the other basket that I've put okay I need to this is just the basket with the sacks in which I'm going to pop where the other basket is for now cuz the other basket is the one that has the decorations in oops um and then yeah I can just delve into this when I need to start wrapping gifts and then put the sacks under the tree got a tree skirt in here and that kind of goes with the more white company style as well it's like a fofa white so I think yeah I think that's what I'm going to do in the kitchen especially as I've got lots of like ginger bready themed things as well so the kitchen one might even be a bit of a mixture of a neutral white company with a few gingerbreads in there that could be in the other room and this could be the more fun traditional box let me show you oh because I tell you why well for one it's just nice to have a little bit of a switch up each year and keep things fun for decorating the tree but I really enjoyed like my favorite tree last year was the one in the kitchen with all these novelty bits and Bobs on because we don't get that until sort of second week of December I kind of feel like I'm not enjoying it for as long as I should be whereas this one we had it very white company sty very pretty classy Timeless design but it just didn't and it does no it does make me happy I was going to say it doesn't Spar that Joy it does but it just doesn't have that that edge that these decorations do let me show you in this basket and it is just a complete mashup of loads of different bubles we've got from all over the show we've got little popcorn there little uh polar bear I think that polar bear was from dford got a little car Barney the dinosaur cuz we have a Barney the golden retriever got a little sleigh um these little mini felt stars in fact they' be quite nice on the other tree as well but this tree or the other tree whichever little fox if you know you know little golden cuz obviously like I said we've got one um Merry Christmas hot chocolate we've even got a little uh where's the other one gone oh here we go Gryffindor and Slytherin woolly hats that can go on little uh skiing MSE this one I love as well lettuce to Santa so yeah it's Lots oh and this one as well Zara home this one Golden Retriever with a Tartan scarf so again fits the theme um oh and there's Barney getting his photo with Santa Claus at John leis last year Santa Paw they called it so yeah this is my decoration box the lemon bear 2023 um to go on on this tree in here this [Music] year being it's Christmas the fire crackling gently all the while I think we're pretty much there guys with all of the kind of like Noy fun uh decorations I thought i' put the drinks together but which one is more likely to be you this one's definitely more me a little Starbucks drink or are you more of a selfer champagne kind of girl also got a little Jelly Cat up there very cute all of our chocolates obviously we've got this little por print that we did when Barney was a tiny little puppy next to his little portrait and then also I've realized I've got quite a lot of felt animals that must be a theme that I um seem to enjoy cuz I do have quite a lot and like this cute little teddy bear um what's another one that I really like I love these Welly boots from next again very fitting with our day-to-day life so I thought i' pop those there I might add just a few more fillers of the kind of like non fun ones from this box I've only popped a couple on cuz I just feel like it needs a little bit more glits but I have to admit that their shredded paper does add quite a lot of Reflection from the lights I'll have to wait till Tom gets home to put the star on cuz I can't quite reach I could give it a go actually let me try if IU can do this by myself no I'm not getting high enough it's not happening oh I forgot to put this bble on I got this one from jerus this year as well going to add to the collection of bubles I bring in year in year out that like have some kind of a meaning or something little buck and Palace which we've been to my family and I when we got invited in cute right my home alone house I've actually popped in this corner over here and is there a here yeah but I still want to get the uh you can get like a pack where you can put the lights in there to make it light up so that's why that is still currently over there I might just pop with it this this little wreath which again is one that I bring out each year chapter 13 of I think this is might be from the prisoner of asan this book uh this chapter but yeah it's the whole chapter created into a wreath put that there for a bit of a festive touch in that corner I have this Garland which is very kind of a sparse looking Garland which I think for now I'm going to just keep here on The Mantel piece but what I might do when when we get the real uh tree I'm tempted to maybe trim a few stems off of our um in our garden our fur tree but you could even use that as a base and then to to Twig the real fur branches into this was from ssre last year and then I also got the matching GRE which I usually add to the backd doors but again I tend to do this when decorating for Christmas in the other room in the kitchen we could pop them up now I suppose but yeah usually I think last year I put these up the same time we got the real tree right I want to make a start in this room now we've got this which I got from Home Bargains a few years ago and it's like a log storage which is usually my intention was to have it in the front room but it's quite chunky so what we might do this year is actually put that outside in front of the new kind of outdoor kitchen fire they're working on it at the minute so I have to show you that in an upcoming Vlog now I'm going to start with popping this little command hook on here I'm going to have the Advent calendar here this year okay you meant to let it set like strip or command hook before you actually put the weight on it I'm just too impatient for that oh love it I might actually pop a few little things kind of poking out of it I also found these bells which I thought we could add to this Advent calendar just to give it that little added festive touch I'm loving the kind of vintage antique cowbells this also looks really nice um styled up on the top of a wooden chopping board for now I'm going to pop this tree which I think was from Ikea I think I'm going to pop it over here with the Olive Tree this is where the real tree will eventually go I've even got some little mini fairy lights I could pop on there right I know for sure I want to use this star platter tray as my kind of Island tray which I always like to have a salt and pepper pot and usually a candle on there as well I'm also going to switch out in here we've got the um an old scabby Scrub Daddy which was Autumn orange themed with the new white elbow crease one in the shape of a snowman just to get rid of any kind of like warmth from Autumn which was in this area so instead we've got cute little snow which spots in there perfectly then I might even pop out here the Christmas tree do we leave it out here or put it over in the corner I think it looks better over here little Neptune tree and this candle from Sand and fog simmering spices a little candy cane ribbon on there we go C I just love that pattern so much right now in the downstairs L I've got this towel already this is just little Waffle green one which I do quite like and I usually just have this out but when it's seasonal I tend to layer it with a seasonal towel so I've got this one which I think will suit quite nicely in here there we go just like a little towel layered over the top of the the green waffle one with these cute little best of snow fakes on yet again a home sense find okay we have this little little space in our pantry which I thought I would add a little seasonal touch too so we've got cooking stand which is from habitat SSB we've got my Harry Potter Christmas cookbook which I thought could go quite nicely on that gingerbread house which is literally full of gingerbread cookies as well and then lastly to add to this this little section I've got this um sleigh need to have a play around but in this brass um sleigh actually that looks quite nice just like that wanted to pop these which I found from Aldi um I put loads of my lint chocolates over in the bowl in the kitchen living area but for in here they do these kind of like dupe versions of mini milk Santas and chocolate Bears could be quite cute just to have a few fested chocolates in here as well I just love having little pots of chocolates [Music] everywhere guess everything's just right but I'll be wishing you were here with me everywhere I go is Chistmas Our Town filled with wonder and Delight the season to Rejoice brings every body close but I'll be missing you right next to me feels kind of lonely when you're a million miles away but maybe there's a start to lead the way [Music] cuz I want to hold you when Cent coming around and kiss you right beneath that Missle toe [Music] O [Music] Christmas minus the star I have finished in here but I've just come across I've come across a couple of bbls that I missed firstly the Fort Mason one that's oh wow look how shiny I am fortn Mason's one I've had for a couple of years so I'll put that one on I don't know why it was in a different basket but these were in a bag if you remember when we went to the cot walls we went to the Victorian Christmas shop and I picked up this bble from there but I also picked up this one as like a little memory from our cotswalds trip so I will add these to the tree as well I found a bit more of a traditional topper that I might use instead of that star I forgot I bought this this year from I think it was B M this velvet burgundy ribbon with the gold trim what do we think I love it oh yeah it suits this as a theme so much better than that star perfect so we are all done all finished in here added the stockings on the fireplace with the B&M uh stocking holders as well oh I just love it so much and if you wanted to see a different theme in this room where I had the cowbells on the lights which I can't do this cuz I've got the artwork and more of a white
