Michael Jordan Cooked KJ Badly (1996.01.28)

Nice pass from Bartley, but Jordan on the rejection by Bartley. And here is Jordan, excellently done by Kevin Johnson. Well, he's the most difficult player to keep from penetrating. Bulls always dangerous in transition and in the open floor. Scottie Pippen, in effect, the point guard in Michael Finley. Very quick to the basket. Scottie Pippen cut him off. Offensive last, you don't get a body on Charles, he'll punish you inside. Here's that pass again as John Hotrod-Williams all turns to cover, and against quick people like Pippen and Jordan. Pippen trying to make the incentive this season. They're down 50-42. Jordan, rebound, and here is Jordan drawing. And Hopper at the count, it's a 7 of 14. Michael knows he has his hands full at the defensive end against Kevin Johnson. Leads the NBA averaging better than 14. Jordan, more of the trap, more of the double team. Michael Jordan once again. Goodbye, Jordan. Longley set the screen. Here's Jordan with a run, and he's tied the game. Screen roll, the most difficult play to defend. Luke Longley setting it on Kevin. Jordan anticipating what leads showing some signs here in the third quarter. Luke Longley goes. Hereafter, we'll send the Bulls to the free throw line, which will be important. Michael Jordan. He's not the best, and he didn't really expect to play this much today. He's played eight minutes to this point. Jordan, most calls at home this season against Portland, a 4.1. That's Michael by 11 with a minute four to go in this fourth quarter. Teams are made of. It's got to be at the defensive end. Of course, the Bulls are another steal here. So the Bulls defeat the Suns, 90-40.
