Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets Full Game Highlights | Jan 9 | 2022-2023 NBA Season

Just great basketball, and he's going up against Jokic tonight. Neither of them timed the jump against the Lakers this year. This is the first game against the Nuggets that LeBron is not playing. Here's Schroeder, got it. The thumb injury. He had the game-clinching free throws after the drive drew the foul in Sacramento a couple of nights ago. Jamal Murray. Good hustle by Pat Beth. Give him an extra 14. Dennis Schroeder controls the basketball straight up. Good ball movement. Right-hand side. Christie tries it again. Can give it to Schroeder. Two and a half minutes into the first quarter. Here comes Denver, and the Lakers fortunately control it and score. Shooting 68.5% on the year, and that's inside and out. Porter Jr., got it. Seven games, but of course, he's one of the players in the NBA that just can't seem to stay on the floor. An injury riddled. Here's T. Bryant underneath. He's got it again. LBJ and AD on the bench together. And Russ nearly came down, but he got it to Descato Anderson, who lost, but certainly JTA. The eyes of the coaches. Here's Brown from the outside. Brown is one of their six, and they're down by three. John Char into Jokic. Here he is underneath. Won't get high off the ground. Caldwell pulled. Porter Jr. not shy. Fires it up. Topped by John Char. Taken. Scored by Brown. Fourth in field goal percentage, and three ahead of him had only shot four threes the entire year. Oh, Wengen Gabriel's got it underneath and scores! Trying to handle the jab step. Murray's still on him. The hook pass to Wengen. Gabriel's going to shoot a three! And he's got it! His turn with a little bit of a run. And here we go. Oh! Down! The other way. John Char lays it up. Against Luka on Thursday. We'll have that game for you here on Spectrum SportsNet. Ball outside. Jamal Murray. 24-second clock. Slider I mentioned was in underneath. That's good patience. Really good patient turnovers. Half a dozen. In quarter number one. Last half minute! But they answer back. He has proved his toughness. Baker's still in the zone defense. Jamal Murray wanders into the lane. Turns. Shoots. Russell. Tap. Lane is back to six. Little stutter step with the dribble. It's Westbrook. Lob under to Wengen. He's in deep. Finish it up. A dust up, if you will, after the last game. Fourth quarter. Bones was taken out. Didn't think he should have been. They talked it out. Oh! Great move! Aggressive move! Ryder holds onto it. Bounced out at Gabriel. Eight and a half to play for a second. Here comes Wengen! Ryder in the game. KCP misses. Rebound Najee! Borat is two in his lap. Five-point lead. Biggest lead for Denver tonight is nine. Three for the Lakers. Gordon. Denver. Lakers with the second-longest winning streak in the NBA. Currently Memphis came into the night with winners of six. Swider corner. Got it! Fresh. KCP, a hounding, swarming zone defense for the Lakers right now. Murray down the middle. He goes. Throws it up and in with the left hand. The move. Contabious called. Well-pulled. Having his best year as an NBA player from three. Murray. He launches. Timeout Lakers. Down. 3.50 to play here. Here comes Murray. Drive. Kick. Joker didn't want it. Porter Jr. certainly does. Start this game. Jamal Murray will back it up. Now to Jokic. Thomas Brandt will give him that jump shot all day if he wants it. Murray. It's been his. Still can't get his first field goal. Leaking out was Porter. Just leaked out. Towards the end of the second quarter. Christie bottled up. Now to Cole. Swider had one player in the air. Back to Max. And he dribbled. Eight points in half-number one. The Lakers are down by 15. Russ all the way. First bucket of the night. First step by Russ will really get him free. Good to see him get off the snipe. But called for. He's owed for three from three-point country. Lakers up to 40% on Gordon. Porter Jr., excuse me. Now to Jokic. Half a minute to go here in quarter number two. Caldwell-Polk. He sure puts you in a good position to make those shots. Russ back and forth with four, with three. Christie bumps into O'Reilly. Christie cornered the two. At the buzzer. KTA working baseline. He's got nine to shoot. Kendrick, left side. Left hand. That's pretty stuff. Yeah, he really did a good job of recovering because he got beat baseline, but recovered to get a clean block. The scoop, not score, but the tap for the... Knocked it away from him. He was trying to get a couple of stops and feel good about themselves. That shot settles in for... Doing here in Denver. A couple of blocks in succession where Eichel comes right back. That's the latest... Once was 18. Curious how the Joker plays screen roles. I mean, he's, like, always in, like, no man's land. In the West to start the night. Lakers, they turn him over. Oh, they leave JTA. Oh, I wish the offseason they'd look at the dribbling again. It was Murray that time, and he caught the ball. Dribbled once and then hesitated. Koliokic. Porter, Jr., catch, shoot. Won't score. Gordon outleaps. Westbrook and scores and one. Collins alongside here tonight as usual here. Kendrick, nine, catch. Russ with the basketball. Let's see if he can get hopped here. He's gonna back it up. Shoot a three. Got it! On cue, Russ. Bilbo, 73-66. Exactly five to play. Hope you're enjoying it here on Spectrum Sports now. We'll see you Thursday night at home. Oh, Jokic, he had one hand. He had three in garbage time against a man. Look at Russ. Russ doing work! That rebound attempt. Yeah, so Cole's got nine, but again, he had that bucket in garbage time. Here's five. It's through. Straight in. Again, seven playoff series between these two Denver's. Never beat the Lakers when it counts the most. The break. Into the corner. Brown's trying it. Fifth spot right now. Everything is up for grabs. Jokic is, by the way, zeroing in on yet. Christy Rather will back it up. Max with control of it. Max all the way. Leans in and scores! Good play by Brown. Saw that no-look pass. Max! Christy finishes it with two hands! Murray brings it right back. Sold out tonight here at Ball Arena. Murray with the left hand. Teen a game. Right back for Russ. He hurt that hip a little bit earlier. Bones Highland! Got double-teamed. Stayed with it. Missed it. Loose basketball. Way ahead of the pack. Pat Murray backhand layup is good. Offensive stretches in during that time. Obviously, it's led to some easy hoops by the Nuggets. During this stretch, Lakers have scored at least 133 times. Russ counting. Russ with Najee in front of him. Russ with a body up. So, Russ saw a little midpoint deficit. Denver's committed four fouls in the quarter, so Lakers could benefit by that, but they won't. Two-man game on top. 7.50 to go. Schreuder all the way to the cup and scores. Westbrook, 17, 7-7, and he scores! Not much defense. Down he went. Did not get his hand caught in the cookie jar. It did look like he got picked, didn't it? Wouldn't have been. Yeah, this is the best we've seen him play, obviously, since coming back. 31 points ties his season high. Doing work is Bryant. T. Bryant tried to block that. Couldn't get it over Jokic. Outstretched arms. Took it away. Another turnover. And Murray's left. One for him. Give you more on that in a moment, but it's the Lakers with the basketball. Thomas is underneath. Look at him work! Had to go with the cha-cha. Three to shoot, two to shoot. Give it up. Too many miscues tonight. Not enough firepower. Murray throws up a prayer not answered. Has it once, twice. Are the Lakers going to get it? No, they're not. On a BP. He's in that mood every night. He really is. It's a season high in assists for Jokic. Two minutes to play. Max gets a valuable rep. Sammy throws it in with the left. Swider. Under a minute to play. And there's Scottie Jr. gliding the two today. Scottie trying to draw that foul. Oh, well done. A lot of them have already gone home. Denver 11 in a row here. Quite a few stayed around.
