In this video, I'm going to show you the power of the channel homepage,
which is really like its own mini website.
You really have the flexibility to fine tune your message.
Ganjing World is a multimedia platform, and this is where I feel the real power
lies.
Your homepage is going to allow you to arrange and showcase multiple forms of
content all in one space.
Here I'm showing you the official Ganjing Campus channel as an example.
At the top,
you can see they are telling teachers about the free teacher premium channel.
You can see they've shared a photo and some texts.
They then share some links for teachers to apply and other educational resources.
Going further down,
they showcase an article and share their own launched hashtag event.
They have also collected various educational content across channels into what
are called collections. And towards the bottom,
they are highlighting some teacher channels and schools.
Now you certainly don't have to use all of these features if you mainly produce
written content, or perhaps you do more live course video content.
You can certainly maximize on those features and create a beautifully dynamic
page just the same.
But let me show you how incredibly easy it is to achieve a page just like this.
Once you get logged in, you will be directed to the Ganjing World homepage.
Click your channel icon on the top right of the page and go to Creator Studio.
On the far left panel, you will see an option for channel settings.
For this tutorial, we will focus on the first two tabs, basic info and layout.
On the basic info tab,
you will be able to change your channel name,
add in a channel description and select your default content language.
Here you will also be able to upload your unique channel icon and channel
banner.
You will also see some stock images that are provided to you that you can use as
well to get started quickly. Once you are done,
be sure to click the save button. From there,
you will be able to click view channel to see what it looks like.
On the second tab, layout, here is where the magic happens. From here,
you will be able to organize and design how you want content to show up and what
people will see first upon arriving to your channel. In this first section,
you will see messages. By clicking add,
you will be redirected to your channel homepage where you will see an add new
messages section. There, you will be able to create your unique message board.
Be sure to click the save button and you will be redirected back to the channel
homepage. In the next section, feature spotlight,
you will be able to choose content you would like to feature at the top of your
homepage. You can choose either a video or an article to place at the top of
your page.
You have the option of choosing what will show to a visitor who is already a
follower of your channel and set something different to show if the visitor
isn't a follower. Moving down the next section is feature sections.
Here you can have up to 12 sections, pretty incredible,
but you certainly don't have to utilize all of these,
but it's nice to know that depending on where your strengths lie and what kind of
content you produce, you can best showcase that on your page.
Simply click and drag each section to rearrange the order where it shows up on
your page or even delete a section altogether.
You can also add a section if you don't see it listed here.
You may see some options grayed out as you see on my page.
If you don't have that type of content posted yet,
remember to save at the top right of the page to set your changes and then view
channel to see what it looks like. And that's all for today.
I hope you enjoyed this video and learn something new.
It's been a real pleasure to be with you here today.
This is Rita and I will see you in the next video.
