Chasing Chargers – Railfanning GO Transit and VIA Rail

Sit back for trains and trip-hop. On this late autumn day, I took a break from the workbench to spend a day railfanning around Toronto, chasing down GO Transit trains and finally getting a look at VIA Rail’s new Venture train sets with the Siemens Charger locomotives. I hit a few familiar spots along the Lakeshore West and East lines, with stops at Aldershot, West Harbor, Mimico, Union Station, and even a first-time visit to Danforth. I also got lucky with a shot of the rare Lumi paint scheme.

Set to lofi music, this video is more about the sights and sounds of the day than narration—just a relaxing journey through some of my favorite spots. Seven hours, over 150 kilometers—worth every minute. Join me on the journey!
