Yeah, it was good. Executed pretty much to plan to be honest.
I've been on the losing end of the podium at this race a few times and I know how critical the early laps are.
I know how much it can spread out and then the gaps tend to stabilise in the second half of the race.
So, I had to dig deep. I wasn't feeling super comfortable to start off with,
but I knew I had to stay with the front guys or at the front if possible.
So, like I said, push. Dug really deep to stay in front. Got pretty tired in the middle.
But then, yeah, we chose to pit early. Made a little adjustment to the bike and was definitely better in the second half of the race.
Pitting early meant I just could focus on logging lap after lap after lap.
So, yeah, job done. Feels good. Now, let's get to work and see you next year.
It's alright, but I want to win so bad.
I tried so hard every lap and I was riding very good until the end,
but a couple of mistakes here and there made me lose some time.
I think everybody makes mistakes because the terrain was for sure the most technical of the whole season.
It was really, really difficult. And if you try to increase the level, like the space, then you start making mistakes.
So, it was about relaxing and riding with the flow and smooth.
And, yeah, I have to say congrats to Billy. He rode amazing.
UK conditions, but anyway, his comeback was very strong and it's amazing.
I saw him a couple of times during the race, but he definitely went full gas today. So, congrats.
It was tough, huh? I had a good start and then me and Billy re-battled a little bit.
Then I made a bit of mistakes with the lap, which was pretty shit, so it was difficult to test.
But, overall, pretty happy. Another podium.
Billy rode absolutely good today and Mario as well.
I think I had a massive crash in the middle of the race.
Maybe I broke something a bit more in my ankle because I thought I was probably going to stop the race.
But, yeah, we fight through and I'm pretty happy to be here and I'm pretty happy that it's over.
I'm just trying to focus on doing the best I could at the race.
I want to say the conditions didn't really suit me ideally today.
But, also, being Mario's home territory.
But, in the end, I pushed as hard as I could and did as best as I could.
So, super happy.
Finished second in the World Championship from January.
Didn't even know if we had a ride or not.
So, up and down year, but pretty stoked to finish second in the World Championship.
