I'm allergic to just two things. I'm lucky. Penicillin and cringe videos.
Well, violent videos too. I don't like to watch those if they come across my Twitter or Instagram
feed or whatever, but cringe videos are something I have no problem avoiding.
Some people like to watch them and I just have never understood it. Me and cringe videos go
together as well as Chris Brown and women. I just can't do it. And the specific type of
cringe video I'm talking about in this video are paparazzi types who go up to notable people,
in this case baseball players in public areas and overstay their visit by a whole lot.
So I'm sacrificing my sanity today by putting myself through the cringe to make this video
and you're going to suffer with me. So welcome as the first videos I want to point out are actually
both of Scott Forrest, arguably the most successful agent in all of sports. You've
probably heard of him. And whenever I make videos about him, some of the footage I use
are from him getting interviewed by TMZ types who literally just bombard him as he's walking
through an airport. Now, again, it's not like these people are attacking him or doing anything
physical or getting that close up to him, but it's very clear that the situation is
pretty uncomfortable. But I will say Boris does handle it really well. Watch.
Baseball player, just focus on baseball, evaluate baseball, baseball game of baseball
as to anyone who wants to be a part of it. One thing I know is that we devote our lives to one
thing, and that is evaluating the game and being a part of the game. Your former player and things
you understand. It takes that kind of commitment to really understand the game.
You know, it's killing it. Should he get all his bonuses?
Well, that would be up to his team, I guess the Yankees, huh? What do you think?
This is up to you. Do you think he deserves everything? Every penny?
I don't really have any comment on that. Would you like to get your hands on like
someone like Jackson? You know, he's 15 years old. A lot of colleges are looking at him.
I just focus on baseball. Okay. Thanks, man. Hi, Scott. Huge fan. Thank you.
Now, this one, as you just saw, wasn't anything crazy. I just think the idea of following someone
in a public place like the airport is a little strange, and I just don't really understand the
point. Like, I don't really see the end goal with this. Like, do you really think you're going to
get some hard hitting, crazy insight from Boris in the middle of an airport? He's obviously not
going to tell you anything we don't already know. Here's another one done by the worst of the worst
when it comes to this stuff. TMZ. How do you celebrate after such a great week
like this, man? You got three of the biggest names in baseball, almost a billion dollars
in contracts. How do you celebrate after a long week like that? The biggest celebration is that
you get to call the players you represent, let them know that something they've worked so hard
for is complete. So it's really a great thrill. Is it fair, like a lot of teams are scared to
negotiate with you. Do you think that's fair, that they should be afraid of you or not?
I don't think anybody is. You represent great players. Everybody wants to talk with you.
Absolutely. Hey, so kind of baseball related but not. So Bernie Sanders took a shot after
Garrett Cole signed that contract, said if we could, you know, sign something for $324
million, teachers should be able to get $60,000 a year. What do you think about that? Is that fair?
I don't think Mr. Sanders took a shot. I think he brought the fact that in America,
we recognize greatness and we teachers are a great part of the American greatness and
we should acknowledge them with an appropriate compensation system, which doesn't exist right
now. Do they need a better negotiator? Do the unions need like a Scott Boris to kind of...
I can't address the competency of their, it's just state government. What we do as a society,
we need to reward the people that teach and generate the next generation of brilliance
for America. It's very important. And yet again, you got to give credit to Boris. He handled this
extremely well. A lot of people don't like him and they almost make him seem like he's some rude,
arrogant, money, bloodsucking prick. But from any public thing he's ever done, whether it's
talking to the media at the winter meetings or talking to the media with one of his players
after they just signed a big contract and they're having the press conference, or whether it's a
random guy shoving a camera in your face at an airport, Boris has always seemed like a pretty
standup chill dude. Obviously I don't know him personally and only so many people do,
but he treated this really awkward situation well. And now we get to the latest example of this. And
so there's this TikToker based in Los Angeles who looking at his account, it looks like he does this
to a lot of people, just basically going up to people on the street, whether it's a celebrity
or there's this one where he went up to a homeless dude and he just asks them random questions and
asks to take pictures of them. A lot of them are women and he claims to be a photographer.
It's very easy, at least for me to get secondhand embarrassment watching these videos. And
unfortunately for world series champion, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, he was a part of this guy's
shtick. Now I'm not going to act like millionaires have it hard in life, but let's also not act like
it's not annoying to not be able to go in public without the possibility or likelihood of getting
stopped and bothered by random people when you just want to enjoy yourself in your time with
friends and family or whoever you're with. And I'm going to be honest with you, this video in
particular, it was just kind of downright scummy in a lot of ways by this guy. The entire time
Yamamoto is clearly uncomfortable. He's already someone who doesn't even fully know English that
well. And now he's getting talked to and asked questions by a random dude who he has no idea
what his intentions are. And he's filming him. He's just simply trying to enjoy his day with
his woman he's with. And there's more to it that made it so bad. Watch. Excuse me, brother.
Are you Yoshinobu? My name is Jack and I'm a photographer in LA. So I was just like create
content online on TikTok and stuff like that. So when I see like famous people just like to
get some photos and just ask them a few questions about life and stuff like that to inspire my
followers. So I was asking if it's OK by the way. How are you doing? What's your name? Nikki.
Nice to meet you. By the way, man, congrats on winning. So first off to go up to the woman he's
with, who apparently is a celebrity and model in Japan and shake her hand. That's just weird, man.
She didn't go out of her way to shake yours. You're a random dude who she isn't with. What
makes you think you can just do that? And it's normal. They're both clearly uncomfortable. And
at the end of the video, Yamamoto, who's being as polite as possible, clearly wants nothing to do
with this guy. And I'm pretty sure tells him not to use or post the footage he recorded of him.
Watch the whole big parade in LA. How do you feel about winning, man? You're so happy.
You don't like photos at all. No, I understand and I respect that. So I won't get portraits of
you. But I want to ask you this. Do you believe in God? Can you describe your relationship with God?
Yeah, that's what I'm doing. That's what I'm asking because I don't want to take photos.
Not today. No, OK, no problem. I have a good one, man. I appreciate that.
So, of course, he does anyway, which is why we're talking about it to begin with. Just very strange
behavior and obviously not the way to handle this. This dude acts like he's a fan and he's so happy.
But in reality, if you really were a fan of Yamamoto, you'd know not to do this.
You'd respect his privacy. I'm not going to say where I live or who this player is,
but there is a very successful major league baseball player who goes out on the weekends
in my area. And I've seen him several times at different bars, including just this past weekend.
And you know what I do? I say nothing. I stay away from him and I let him enjoy his personal
time with his friends. These are human beings. And it's just so cringe to overstay your visit.
If you want to say something quick, that's fine. Just something like, oh, hey, big fan,
congrats on the championship or whatever. But then immediately move on to do what this guy did is
just the worst example or the perfect example, I guess you can say of what not to do when you
see a notable person in public. So for anyone watching this, don't do this.
Let me know your thoughts and thank you for watching.
