Watch this Dalmatian Puppy Ask Me for Help Finding Her Family

Eat until you see the unique dog we're going to be sitting with here in a minute. But first I also wanted to give you a little teaser at the end of this video stick around Because bean is going to get to pick his favorite foods Oh, you're pretty you're pretty Hi Are you new here? Oh, i'm sorry, it's gonna be okay. Are you a puppy? Oh my goodness I'm so sorry. Can I come in? Hi I know this is a scary place Hi. Oh, hi Hi, you just need a friend Do you just need a friend? I'll set this down rice. Oops. Oh, hi Hi, oh, oh, you're such a pup. Oh You're such a puppy I can already tell you're a sweet dog Oh my goodness, you like that blanket. You just you just take my blanket Let's try this again That's pretty cute, okay now we're still going to go through the standard uh the standard sort of Body language where I don't just come in straight out of the gate with affection Oh found treats Okay, let's try that Found my treats right away Or so i'll look away you know a lot of times people will say will Say like oh just jump in and give that dog affection right away, but I want So that the dynamic is correct I want to respect The dog no matter how friendly no matter the age no matter the breed type And allow them to come to me In true Dog body language and communication Let's sit down because I've noticed there there are a lot of dog lovers out there That think because they're dog lovers that they know dogs And that is not the case In fact, I would rather take someone who is scared of dogs Not rather but you can eat almost in an easier fashion take someone who's scared of dogs And teach them dog body language because they're already apprehensive to approach and so they're gonna they're gonna watch all of the cues And and there's a lot going on here with this dog you can tell there is Concern and fear But there's curiosity The tail has has already untucked Very young with those paws look how big those paws are So, you know A lot a lot of growing to do I'm, i'm guessing five six months old. We'll find we'll find out here in a minute. Yeah, it's funny I have this small treat. It's a big treat I didn't know why she why'd she start with this one? That's cute, okay, let's see if they know any tricks sit Good girl. Oh, and you know shake can you shake shake? Here Shake shake Good girl. Oh, wow. Wow. So already trained and so young too Here a couple pets there Okay with that I wouldn't even think it through that it just naturally happened. You know, she gave me a paw. I gave her a pet so a girl and She just came in because I saw them putting um, I think I think Hey, alexis, could you hand me that up there? I think that might be hers Oh, yes, I seen See if she reacts Is that yours darling here? Is that yours? Oh, yeah, that's hers for sure Oh, she knows she's like ready for a walk Is it is that yours is this yours Huh? Is this yours? Is that yours sweetheart? She knows. Yeah Yeah, look at that. That is hers through and through I mean another way I know is you can see her fur on there Okay, so interesting Um, she's trying to find the other treat stick. She she loves treats You love treats, uh, here's the thing too like she's in perfect shape friendly vibrant obviously beautiful I mean alexis, what kind of dog do you think she is? Just joking Definitely a great parent ease Dalmatians are certainly one of the most striking dogs I mean there is no doubt that when you see a dalmatian It stops you in your tracks if you've ever walked a dalmatian or had the opportunity to to have a dalmatian You can't walk down the street without everyone stopping you i'd say a dalmatian Is second to none to to maybe a great dane or a brand new puppy like they are stopped at every turn Which is interesting because it's not like they're as big and drooly as a saint bernard or as giant as a mastiff um, but they just Obviously their colors are just so striking and I love how many spots this dalmatian has I mean How many if we counted them? How many spots do you think she has? Are you count are you trying to count them all right now before you answer? Well, uh, you know the when when you have like the jars of gumballs or something at a birthday party Yeah, yes, try and guess how many are in there Yeah, it's like usually the one of the methods is to count a spot on there like just one area. Okay, just like Multiply that spot. Yeah well I don't think we're actually going to count all the spots. So maybe Everyone watching this video you can pause count them and it'll let us know here Let me see if I can turn around to the other side. Come here Can we? here I don't think yeah, I think we got both sides. Come on here I mean at least like 180 This is why shelters need volunteers so that you can count the numbers of spots on the dalmatian We're gonna find out her story. Alexis is looking that up And i'm so happy with how fast she's oh Where's that an itch you got an itch you need some help? Is he okay? Is he any itch? Or maybe say caught that paper collars itching you Okay One you want to try to set a record for fastest scoop, huh? Come on It's like I am giving you paul where is my treat aren't you the treat atm Come here Come on I want to scoop her so bad, but i'm not going to do that yet I will tell you we're going to find out her story in a minute and alexis. I At the end of this video we should show everyone I don't even know if I told you we Cooked for being yesterday. It was the first time we let him in the house and we let him pick like this Like chicken or steak or salmon and I think it'll surprise you as to what he actually picked. Oh, yeah No, i'm excited to see that. Yeah, we did like vegetables. We did everything So i'll play that at the end of this video if you're new to these videos Bean is a dog that we found here at animal friends of the valleys in wildemar, california And his leg had just been shattered and it's been like a I don't know now a six seven month journey that we thought would be maybe six weeks Because it broke and then it broke again And then he had a diaphragmatic hernia where basically all his insides went up into his chest he's just a little puppy cattle dog, but he is a testament to how Amazing dogs can be and how invincible one can be with when just surrounded by love So i'll play that at the end of this video. I think you're really gonna like it But okay, but let's let's talk about this girl I'm, glad I caught her. I mean she just came in I know because I saw them in between when I was coming in. I saw them putting the harness up there and like Well, I don't know. I think maybe they just moved her cow, but uh, alexis. What what do we know? Does she have a microchip? unfortunately, no microchip so When they have the collar on they try to do Uh pink for girls and blue for boys. Sometimes they run out. Sometimes they have orange But it it generally means they went through health check and when they go through health check one of the processes in health check is they have a microchip scanner and it's like a little uh Stud finder that you try to find a stud on a wall and it scans and then it beeps And so they go all over the dog trying to find this microchip because a microchip is not a gps tracker It just helps identify the dog. So it gives information like phone number address, you know Different microchip companies allow for different information Reminder to update your information on your dog's microchip if he's moved or your phone number's changed or anything like that Like how good she is how sweet she is here in a minute. We're going to give her some affection and give her some positive affirmations Okay, so she went through health check. What can you tell us? So she's marked as a stray Oh Yeah She does have that harness and leash Um, but she was found running around the local stadium Like a baseball field and stadium. Oh the el sonor, uh, the storm stadium That's wild. Yes. What's interesting is she has a lead on her harness typically when you find a straights because maybe a dog got out of a yard or they slipped out of their collar or Someone didn't want them and they dumped them But but it would be really interesting that she would be running around with her harness on and her lead attached it makes me wonder if it was a car accident or something where I don't that's so strange. She just got away She got too excited and you know, the owner accidentally dropped the leash and while on a walk and then she just ran away She's so interesting. She's not it's not like she's a really powerful dog Sorry You're strong Um Okay, what else? Well, unfortunately without a id tag or a microchip. We just don't know an owner Like to contact yeah, i'm sure I would say she most definitely belongs to somebody but We just have no way of contacting them. And so therefore we don't actually have a name that we know of And she just came in. Yes. She just came in I knew I knew it Okay. All right This could be really good news Maybe her family will find her if her family comes within the first 24 hours This is a good thing and i'll update at the end of this video before we publish this video because it usually takes Us a day or two to uh to get the vid to run the ai on it to get the video uploaded stuff like that, we don't do much editing, but uh, we clean it up just in case I say anything outrageous like Um Alexis is almost out of twix bars And so i'll put our post office box address at the bottom in the description in case you want to send her Twix bars, but i've found out she doesn't like the fun size. She wants the full size twix bars Okay We will not cut that part out Okay, so yeah, so so maybe her family will come but i'll update it before we launch this video so that I can say Oh her family came great news or hey share this because her family did not come And we need to try to help her family find her or more likely if her family hasn't come at that point She needs a home Jumping in real quick. Her family did not come for her. So she is going to need a home After this video is done share this so that we can help her find her forever home. Why do you guys think it is because? this Is so strange And it's like it was connected And it doesn't have there's no dog tag out of there that That's what frustrates me to no end. You have a this amazing dalmatian. No microchip. No dog tag So we'll have to give her a nickname at least for the time. Oh, I already know what it is Would uh, what's the name of this the team at the stadium? Uh storm stadium stormy Stormy. Yeah, very cute stormy, right? Stormy It's a nickname it might end up being her actual name if her family doesn't come for her but I I really wish we could figure this out. Let me know if you've got any ideas because this is not normal Do you know who found her? What officer? Or or a citizen founder? No a citizen. Uh citizen was the one who found her right? Okay I mean good I was gonna I was gonna see if you could call and find out I wonder if they didn't have her for a few days or something and bought this for her But I mean it's pretty it's pretty dirty and old it's not it's not like it's brand new I mean, it's not like a bad condition. It just doesn't look like it's only like a day or two old It's definitely dirty Yeah, it's like all scratched up. I mean, maybe they had a dog the same size or I don't know It's really strange though, right? It is a little strange. Um If I was an investigator, this would be the first thing I'd hold on to and figure it out Also if she was found at that stadium locally then I mean the first place I would look would be here Because it's low but it's literally the closest shelter very close I mean, it's three minutes away five minutes away maybe In traffic. Yeah If you're riding your bike, I am I am besuttled All right. Let's not let's not stick on that. She here she is and uh, you can tell she's relaxing a little bit Which is good and in the presence of calmness I hope her family finds her and she's reunited with her family If not, I really am going to need all of your help sharing this video because she's going to need a home She's going to need to find her family or she's going to need a home. No matter what she needs our help Let's jump into positive affirmations. I want to see if I can scoop her up That would be more for me than for her Sometimes you guys say like man You have the best job in the whole world or I wish I had that job and I want you to know that I do It's awesome and you can have this too. That's the cool thing about it You can go out of the shelter you can volunteer Before you know it as you work your way up You can be sitting down with dogs showing them love and affection one of my favorite things Cheryl the volunteer coordinator here if there are any volunteers that are kind of standing around like, okay We've done everything we've cleaned everything then she goes. All right, if you're done go sit with some dogs Love it. I love it. It's music to my ears Stormy I think she likes it. You're a good girl You are a good dalmatian You're a good girl If you were mine I would count your spots as often as possible and I would take my time and I would go really slow Just so that I could have an excuse to spend more time with you We would get all your spots counted And then we would give you that many treats. So if it was 180 spots, you would get 180 treats Maybe not all in the same sitting But we would make sure you got at least 180 treats You are a good girl, and i'm sorry this happened to you. Whatever it was. It's not your fault Even if you're the one that ran away Not your fault You're a good girl You don't deserve to be in this spot right now and we're going to help you work this out The hardest part's over you're here. You're safe Just like you were running all the bases at the ball stadium and you've slid into home. This is your home base And we're gonna get you back to your family It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. Come here. We're gonna get you to a new family. Come here. Oh, that's so cool That's a good girl Oh, you're like you're like a teenager like long and lanky hi Oh, yeah Okay, you're just trying to get more treats, huh? There you go. I'll give you more treats Oh my goodness. She's so velvety She's not too dirty either. I think like her harness is more dirtier than she is Hi. Oh, yeah. She's I mean she smells Pretty good, too. Like it wouldn't surprise me if she just got a bath within like the last week Hi, who's a good girl? Where are you going? You trying to hide? She's trying to like tough her her head into my shoulder or under my arm. Hi It's okay. Good girl You're a good girl Stormy, you're a good dog You are a good dog stormy You're a good girl Yeah It's gonna be okay Yeah, it's gonna be okay. I can tell your heart's about as big as your feet You know, look at these thumpers It's big old feet She's gonna grow into it for sure. I don't think she'll get that big though Like she I think she'll still be a pretty small dalmatian. Hi Oh, she's a good girl Thanks, let me kiss you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Yeah, let's do some mail so that we're spending time with her it would be really neat to see I mean She just since she did she just take my treat. Yeah. Yeah, she just snuck the whole treat stick I know I always say don't take things from dogs unless you're a cheeky little puppy And you you snuck a treat away from me We're yeah We're gonna do some mail time because if we're if we can sit with her even if we spend a little bit of time I mean, hopefully her family it's monday. Her family is calling You know veterinarian offices shelters rescues and they go. Yeah, we have her here and they zip right over here Even you know, we typically spend An hour or two hours with a dog Even if it happened in that moment because like she just came in So maybe the family's on their way right now I don't know Okay, shake good girl. Can you lay down? Can you lay down? No, we don't know that one yet. Sit Sit lay down Shake okay, you gotta shake down. All right so this is love letters with dogs and we really love this it started out because Y'all were sending packages to the shelter and the shelter was getting a little overwhelmed. I love and appreciate you but Don't do that And what it's become is us getting to spend time with you and with the dogs So when you send something send it as if it's gonna hit for a dog that you haven't ever met yet Like this girl right here. So we do it together. You want to check it out? You want to check it out? What's in here? What's this? Oh, we have a letter Okay Two special dog. Perfect Uh, uh rocky and family and team. Thank you Okay, let's check it out What is it? What is it? Can you read? Can you read you want me to read it? Okay You really are like a movie dog Okay, sarah, this is from sarah. She says hi dog Sir well done I like to write letters and love dogs. So I wanted to To make time to send a little positivity your way You're a good dog. You're special and valuable one day. Someone will give you a great new home And i'm going to insert my little bit here or your family will find you again and you'll get to go home I love you, and i'm sending you scratches. That's that's really cute. And then she wrote a letter to us Family and team. Thank you for all that you do We can't have a dog. Um Because my sister's uh Allergic and we share an apartment someday. I hope to be able to rescue a dog Your videos help me remember I can help dogs even when I cannot have one in my home yet That is so true. Like we're we are all in this together and by just watching and sharing this You have no idea the power that you've brought to what we're doing before. It's just me sitting with dogs Now it's a whole community and we get these dogs adopted that might not otherwise ever find a home And that's because of you because you're watching this because you are a part of this So even if you go if you sit there and you go, I want to do more like I feel so Helpless that I can't do more trust me. You're doing so much. Thank you. Sarah. Thank you Let's see what we have here for you Oh, what is that? You have a toy Oh, you have a toy Look at that. Oh, yeah Oh, yeah, there you go There you go. And look sarah sent a bunch of these. This is great We can hand these out to the dogs at the shelter sarah Thank you You're awesome Look, she loves it. Look at this Loves it Cute okay, what else? We have more Yeah I know you're all watching out there because when you guys see me out in public and stuff you say hi Which I appreciate so much, uh, never hesitate to come say hello um This is like a weirdest shake Like she is so treat motivated I don't know dalmatians too much. Are they just in general treat motivated? I didn't spend a lot of time with the breed because typically when they're in shelters They get out of shelters very quickly understandably so Okay, I saw a little peek let's read the letter first what don't don't shake your head, you know, uh, yeah Okay, all right i'm going to tell you guys the inside joke here in a minute, uh, you're amazing look at that you're amazing It's not that's not a snack. That's not a treat little one Okay, um, uh, thank you guys this uh for the inspiration and shared love, uh anastasia. Thank you And you're welcome and anastasia has been following along and look at this This is not this is not for you sweetheart, i'm sorry stormy you do not get these hey alexis Yes These are for you wonderful Anyone who's been following along and watching? uh one day I just casually mentioned that alexis loves twix because she was eating twix for like a Uh, I don't know it was like a break we had or something and you guys have just been Sending floods of of twix bars and I would love to say that it's too many But she's eating all of them like you've been clearing a lot of twix bars, haven't you? Okay, oh she's already opening the rest of the package. She's like I don't care about your twix bars That's pretty cute though. Here i'm gonna give you these so she doesn't get into. Yeah, that's a good idea Okay, let me ask you a question and I honestly don't know the answer to this Has your twix bar? um Volume intake increased or is it still about the same? I would say it's like is the audience just saving you money or Or have are you now getting more twix bars in your regular diet? I would say the latter uh getting more twix bars in my diet definitely, uh Getting more calories. I'm, not sure I believe that but okay No, no, definitely. Yeah. No. No, it's it's true actually. Yes I had to stop for like a week because my fiance was like, okay, that's enough. Oh my god That is so funny. Oh, look at all these toys. These are cute too. Look at this Oh, you like you like toys Oh get it Oh, this is great. Okay, good. I'm gonna give her that toy. Look a lot of cute little toys in here anastasia Thank you. These are really cute. I'll hand them out to some of the other dogs too. They'll love them Oh and look at these little buttons How cute are these? Oh, wow Uh, check this out. Alexis. These are so cool Maybe maybe you and I can both have one and then we could uh, put them in the shop so they can sell it And then the shop would be great. Yeah, they'll sell it and then they'll be able to um, Use that money for the shelter when you come into the shelter They have a little pet store and everything that's uh in there is donated And so when they sell it then the money goes to help the dogs. Hi I think we do one more and then uh, I show everyone Uh beans favorite foods where he gets to pick whichever food I put down We haven't ever had a return to owner family Come while we're recording have we we had an adoption happen Yes, but never never have they come while we're actually Filming unfortunately. No never And most of the time They don't come Statistically all the dogs were sitting with where their family could have come You know what? Maybe like one out of 20. Yeah, it's unfortunately. It's not as often as it should be But I have I have hope I have high hopes for her I don't know if i'm just stunned by her beauty or by her puppiness But i'm i'm crossing my fingers that her family is able to come get her I think the thing that tells me they will come get her is because something's really off with the lead being connected to the harness And finding her that way Let's hope that they just happen to drop the leash. Yeah, whatever reason they're searching everywhere for her searching right now. Yeah, I agree Oh, this is a giant one All right, let's go. Look at this girlfriend Stormy, what do you think? What do you think of this story? You want to sniff it? That's almost as big as you are Okay, let's see. What do we have here? We have a note. We have a note. Nope. That's a receipt Okay, you play with your toy i'll check out what's going on here Okay, I don't think we have a note on this one. Did you see a note out there? No, unfortunately not. Okay Okay, that's okay. We have some really cute toys. Look at these toys look at this Toys toys are great. Listen, the shelter can always use toys. So it's really fantastic kitty toys The shelter never gets enough kitty toys, this will go a long way. Thank you. They need kitty toys They need cat litter you can send cat litter or dog food directly to the shelter So poor alexis doesn't have to haul it around in her car What is this? Whoa, that is heavy duty. Look at that thing. You want to try that? It's like it's like really heavy that weighs almost as much as you do come here you want it That might be too heavy duty for you Stormy likes it What is it do you chew it let's see what it says here yeah long lasting chew, okay She likes it I wonder does it have a scent or something because she went right for it look at that Whoever sent this thank you. We don't there's no letter in it. Yeah, it's like a nylon long lasting chew It's good for dental Doesn't say it's scented. She just must like chewing Another big way you can help is by becoming a member it makes a big difference and It's a really neat community that we're building So many of you are members and it's just really awesome having you as a part of the family and it makes a big difference because it helps us with rehabilitating dogs and the costs that go into that and I also provide exclusive content. So you are the first to see videos often ad free and When a dog gets adopted we let you know first Sometimes when they get returned we let you know first We do that as kind of a safety net because uh, we want to make sure we give a little time Once the dog's adopted before we go announce that wide, but we're not done yet because wait until you see Uh bean getting to come into a house for the first time ever And uh, and then picking the ingredients that he likes to eat jumping jelly bean. Let's roll it. All right, we got salmon Steak and chicken. It smells so good right now. So we want him to experience What what home cooking's like he's been able to hang out in a kitchen and a home and he's been restricted on movement But he's gonna go crazy. I know he's already crazy Okay. Well while that's cooking up, should we start with uh testing the fruits and veggies? Let's do it. All right Okay, first we have blueberries and strawberries But strawberries are so big I don't think he likes them both I don't think he's had any blueberries Bean I think he just ate one. What do you think buddy? All right. He's a strawberry fan I don't have too much of any of this because we haven't we haven't done this with him before. Yeah Okay, we got strawberry lovers, I mean who isn't a strawberry lover Bean Can you cut it up? Okay. Okay. Next we have vegetables. Okay, buddy. These are vegetables Definitely not into the spinach. No spinach is a no-go But he also ate the broccoli Such a good boy. He eats his veggies I'm a little surprised about this I think it's because it's all new Probably. He's got a good crunch He's a good boy All right, i'm gonna cut him because I don't want him getting tummy aching The big one's coming up. We have filet salmon chicken And my wife's selection ground beef because that does taste a lot different and after he picks which one of those he likes Stick around because we even have dessert. Look at this. We have unsweetened applesauce and then we have greek yogurt and since we know he loves strawberries Oh, I feel like that's cheating I'm not well, I didn't like pick this one and you pick that one. I think I know but Okay, we want him to love it Yeah, should we put peanut butter on the applesauce like a peanut butter and jelly a little drizzle? Or should we just do another peanut butter one? Yeah, we could do that. Let's do it. Let's do it. Oh, he can smell that peanut butter. That was a good call Organic no xylitol. Let's do this He's jazzed about this Okay Should we have him sit? Yeah. Come here. Watch this guys sit sit good boy He's a fancy dog After all the money we spent on surgeries, there's no surprise there He only gets the best Oh my goodness, should we should we see which one's next up and i'll pull it. Well. Yeah, I think so because on all Um three items he picked everything in this spot over here So, I don't know if that's just by coincidence let's see what second place would be but then i'm gonna pull him because I don't want him to get a Sick tummy. Okay He's so excited. He's like such a good boy and go Chicken, okay. Okay. Good boy. Good boy Maybe he's giving him one more piece Come here, come here sit No, no, okay right here sit sit You have dessert coming still grand finale greek yogurt applesauce peanut butter kelly, which one do you think he's gonna pick I think the Greek yogurt and strawberries. Okay, then I was gonna say that too. I'll say peanut butter just to see if I can win well and it's on It's all it's in the right position Good boy, good boy. You want to try the peanut butter? You want to try it? You'll see what you guess for now that you've tried them all Okay, good boy good boy one last leg Okay You give kelly some kisses here's some kisses don't you do it Give her some kisses. Yeah, give her kisses She loves kisses buddy kisses kisses Okay I would take a peanut butter kiss from him. Bean's gonna be going home soon. He is such a good boy yes, make sure you're following along because uh Very soon and very soon. He will be going to his new family We've got a lot of applications in so we've closed off applications and we're just making final decisions doing some meet and greets Oh, it'll be a sad day, but the person who's adopting him they are we are making them guarantee that Uh, we can come see him anytime and we can come borrow him and take him out for the day Also, we're gonna do a dog's day out with him where we take him for a puppuccino take him to the beach buy him Everything he touches at the pet store. Just do all the things let him let him be a dog and experience fun things together He's a good boy
