Good morning, guys, and welcome back to another vlog.
It is rather early.
I mean, it's actually a bit late now.
It's about 22.06, but it was a very early wake-up call.
4 a.m. as I had both yards to do.
We are heading team chasing today.
So we are taking all three boys.
We've got Kato, Zeb, and Max.
Zeb and Kato are doing the novice.
I'm riding Zeb, Michaela's riding Kato,
and then Max is doing the intermediate.
So I am feeling a little bit nervous about that.
We also have Izzy and Tiny there in our novice team,
and then Lucy, who we will introduce later,
and Fionn, who I also used to own Fionn.
So I have actually owned all four horses
in the novice team, which is quite cool.
But we are going to Bicester,
where we did our first team chase last year.
But yeah, we're just getting the horses ready,
gonna get them loaded, and head on our way,
because it is quite far away.
Okay, come on, Zeb.
Raring to go.
Now, you will be excited when you get to the lorry.
He will be.
It's a little bit muddy.
Be heavy.
Yeah, well, I didn't have the three horse,
but Dad's just making excuses in case he gets stuck,
because when I came with Scott,
I didn't get stuck, did I, Scott?
No.
You smell it.
We've now made it more worse,
because we're really heavy.
Dad, get over there again.
That lorry's stuck.
It's a little bit muddy.
See what Steve's doing now.
No!
You got in.
Woo-hoo!
I said, keep going, keep going,
you've got to get in.
Pass my jacket jumper quick.
Guys, and I've already done an intro, right?
We've just arrived at Bicester team chase.
It's a little bit muddy.
Lots of lorries are being...
Something just fell off that lorry.
Lots of lorries are being towed in,
something's just fallen off.
We're here with the team,
everyone knows Izzy.
Izzy on tiny,
we don't need to worry about that until later.
Yeah, we do, actually.
Kayla, everyone knows Kayla,
and Lucy.
I don't think the vlog's met Lucy.
Lucy is riding Fionn,
who I used to own.
So we're going to go and check in our hats
and our body protectors,
and then walk the course.
Hey guys, before we get back
to the very exciting team chase,
I just want to take this moment
to thank the wonderful sponsors of this video,
HelloFresh.
So we have just taken our delivery of our box,
which is very, very exciting.
And today we will be cooking
the ultimate creamy coronation chicken.
So let's get cooking.
Okay guys, so as you know,
Scott and I have been using HelloFresh
for well over a year and a half now,
and it's just perfect.
It is so convenient.
It's budget friendly,
and you can get fresh food
delivered straight to your door.
HelloFresh has so many different recipes
to choose from.
They definitely have something for everyone.
They also split them up into categories,
such as wrap a meal,
so you can make delicious food in 20 minutes,
which Scott and I love.
Also street food,
if you want something a little bit different.
All of the recipes have this easy to follow recipe guide.
So it's really easy to cook delicious meals,
even if you're no cook like myself and Scott.
More importantly, look how delicious this is.
So I have a discount code for you guys,
HFASHLEY60,
that's going to get you 60% off your first box
and 25% off the next two months plus free gifts.
Okay, just walking the course now.
So we're walking Zeb's course, the novice course.
We've got a nice second fence.
I think it's exactly the same course as last year.
Steve.
Someone's taken the lead out of my car at the minute.
So I think it's either you or Ashley.
One of you two.
It's probably me actually.
Fence three,
nice, just brush sort of.
Oh yeah.
Do you want to get involved and jump it then dad?
I could jump that.
Yeah.
I actually could jump that.
I've jumped bigger than that.
The red ones will have gone.
So hopefully they'll, they'll brush through it.
It's quite big that one.
Number eight, first water, just a little splash through.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
Got my 15 pound Dunlop's on.
Mikayla, mine are shorter than yours though.
Yeah.
Okay.
Mikayla's giving me the old piggyback
because her wellies are taller than mine.
That's because mine are cheap.
Hers aren't.
Argyle, if you want to sponsor this video.
Yeah, Argyle.
I, instead of my Dunlop's, couldn't afford any more.
So I had to go with the Amazon ones.
Through the water and then we're out over this nice rail
to this second rail.
We're just coming to the second water
and we just got a little jump.
And then I think it's a little step.
12, hedge, nice log, nice hedge.
Not too big.
That's for Max and Zeb.
And so far, course is looking very nice.
It's very similar to last year.
A few little tweaks.
All the solid fences are, you know, nice, inviting.
Couple of bigger hedges.
But yeah, so far Zeb's course looking very nice.
I'm going to do a separate course walk for Max's.
I've looked at a few of the hedges
and they are looking rather large,
but I'm not going to worry about them at the minute
because I've got to just concentrate on Zeb's round.
No dog lead and we've been told off.
So Mikayla's been inventive.
Attached to the old Equidry there, haven't you?
Hi.
Mel, come here.
How you doing, Hush?
Course was done, how was it?
Yeah, course was good.
Very, very similar to last year.
Few little minor changes.
So all good for Zeb.
Looked, we're going to do another course walk for Max.
Looked at a few of his and they look a bit scary.
We're just going to get the boys out now,
get them loaded.
We're having a bit,
they changed our time to 10 minutes earlier
and then we had to swap from the lorry
because the steps weren't working.
So we're running a little bit,
not behind, but we don't want to be,
want to have plenty of time to warm up.
So we're going to get on.
Good boy.
Harry?
Yeah?
How did you find the course?
Yeah, all right, quite good.
Yeah, it's quite muddy in there.
Yeah, saturated.
Saturated, got to put big studs in.
I'm going to go studage.
That's cool, they call you stud management.
This is what's known in the trade as stud management.
Yes.
All Steve has to do is this all the time.
Don't know why Steve has to keep doing it
and somebody else can't do it.
It's all a bit old fashioned.
Why aren't you riding him?
Do you reckon you could get around the course?
It's a bit big for him.
Is it?
Max, you ready to go, Steve?
Yeah, good boy.
You ready to go?
It's all been a bit go, go, go.
And I'm going to get on.
One, two, three, go.
Because he is 20, so he does need walking for a bit.
Yeah, just explain your top real quick.
Okay, so Michaela ordered us these nice pink tops.
It had to be pink.
We've got our names on.
Personalised.
Personalised with our logo there.
And we do have our logo there,
but obviously you can't see that now,
but they're pretty cool, aren't they?
Yeah, very cool.
So we've all got matching.
Mick, Iz, show us your tops.
Izzy there, nicely branded.
There's Mick, looking good.
Decent girl.
Good boy, ready to go.
He's ready to go.
Okay, guys, it's been a little bit chaotic as usual.
We're always in a rush,
just trying to get all the GoPros sorted.
I've just got on Zeb to walk him,
because he is 20,
so he needs a good amount of walking first.
Yeah, Mark's going to do that.
Mark's in charge of legging up.
Usually you're a leg up man, aren't you?
Guys, he's a big boy.
He's a very big boy.
That's Keo Kato, that's Tinkerbell Tiny.
And where's Fionn?
We need to find Fionn.
Brucie, you all right?
Show us your, so this is Fionn.
Ashley used to own Fionn.
He's looking, oh, so cute.
Show us your top.
Little personalised.
Yeah, all matching in pink.
That's how we roll.
Good boy.
And this is Fionn.
Yeah.
Show Fionn.
Yeah, that's Fionn.
Yeah, we can insert a few of the pictures
of when I used to have him,
but this is the first time I've seen him
for about two years, actually.
Yeah.
This is quite nice, yeah.
How's he looking?
Very good.
This whole team,
because they used to own Tiny,
used to own Fionn,
own these two,
so used to own all of them.
Yeah.
But we are all on now.
Some of us are feeling a little bit nervous.
We're going to go and start walking round.
The warm-up is a little bit chaotic here,
but they all seem quite relaxed at the minute,
and hopefully, fingers crossed,
we're a good round.
How are you feeling, Iz?
Very sick.
Ash, are you feeling sick?
I'm feeling a bit nervous.
I know.
I will later, though.
See, mine will come when I do Max,
so I will get it.
Relax.
Not feeling good.
It'll be fine.
He'll jump,
as long as people are in front of him and jumping.
Just relax.
You're going to smash it.
Don't worry.
Get your head in the game.
If you're nervous,
he'll be nervous.
I'm not sure if you can see,
but it's absolute chaos in here.
Right, how's he feeling?
Look at those ears.
He is feeling good.
He is ready to go now.
Look at his ears.
He is ready to rock and roll.
I've had a trot and a canter.
Because he's a bit older,
he takes a while to warm up,
so I have to do loads of warming up,
lots of trotting,
lots of cantering,
but he feels great now,
and he is ready to rock and roll.
Got a psycho in container
Crying in my skin
She's got humour
She's just one of a kind
She's a rebel
Always on the move
Everyone, steady for the guy.
With an info
Is she human?
Nice.
Not shy to take a risk
But I f***ing love that
Get her!
Sorry, mate.
Get her!
She's trying to high five you,
and you're ignoring her.
Well done.
Smashed it, didn't you?
So good.
They were all amazing.
Clear.
Everyone went clear.
Everyone was together.
It was just epic.
Yeah, we were organised.
We were on it.
Everyone was together.
No one had any issues.
I was pretty much next to you on every jump.
You all smashed it.
Has Kato just realised who it is?
Kato didn't know it, but Zeb did.
They used to go out and play together.
Zeb has realised who it is.
Oh my god.
It's your friend.
Kato, Kato.
Zeb's like, oh my god.
And back to normal.
Just finished, guys.
Just keeping them walking.
They were all absolutely epic.
All jumped really, really well.
We all stayed together.
Yeah, it was just absolutely fantastic.
I think we've done, hopefully, pretty well.
Right, guys.
We've just finished.
We all absolutely smashed it, didn't we?
And I just want to say thanks so much to Ash
for letting me borrow the big boy.
He was an absolute darling.
Considering, you know, I'm not rider fit anymore.
My god, he looked after me.
So absolutely, we all smashed it.
Izzy smashed it on Tiny.
Lucy smashed it on Fionn.
Ash obviously smashed it on Zeb.
And I smashed it on Kato.
So we are one happy, happy team.
Hey, guys.
So we just finished.
I'm on Tiny.
You might have seen in the vlog.
I was feeling rather sick before.
I was feeling rather nervous.
Do you know what?
If they'd said you couldn't do it,
I'd have been like, that's fine.
What was I saying?
Oh, such a good boy.
He flew everything.
I don't know why I doubted him.
The horse doesn't have an issue.
It's all in my head.
But yeah, so good.
So much fun.
And let's hope we can do some more.
You go in the middle.
Or you want all of us walking past you?
Tiny's like, can we go?
Nice.
Love a bit of B-roll.
That was very nice of you, Control.
Yeah, very nice.
You must be really pleased with yourself.
It was so good.
Harry?
Thoughts?
A nice, tidy round.
Yeah.
And Kayla did well there.
On your boy?
On the boy, yeah.
I've let her have the ride.
Yeah.
But yeah, she's got the handle of it.
Yeah.
Pretty decent.
He looked like he was going around nicely.
Didn't look that strong.
And it was quite a...
Everyone was drumping nicely.
Nice bit of work at the bottom.
You did all right then.
Yeah.
Smashed it, Lucy.
Well done.
Happy dog.
Happy Kato.
Happy Steve.
Yeah.
They call me Steve.
Who is Steve?
Yeah, he smashed it.
Good boy.
Lovely dismount.
Good boy.
Oh, he absolutely loved that.
Did he?
Feels still great.
Feels, hopefully, next week, hopefully, it doesn't rain and the ground's good.
Because that was boggy.
But he was only small, so he could cope with that.
He just loved being back out there.
Did he?
Yeah.
He is not a man.
Did you like being out there?
Yeah, I loved it.
It was great fun.
It was great.
We were all together as a team.
Everyone was, you know, it was just smoother than last year, actually.
Yeah, we look like we do this week in, week out.
Nice and modest.
He had his ears pricked for a long time.
He was thinking, great.
You've got to make the most of these moments when he's loving.
I know, because he's not loving very often.
Oh, you're a good boy, aren't you?
You're a good boy.
Oh.
Mum will have to wash them.
When she's first ballerina.
A bit of ASMR.
That's just a man and his dog.
It's just a gorgeous, gorgeous little dog.
I can feel the heat in her fur.
It's like a summery dog.
Oh, summery dog.
What are you doing?
Just washing the old boy down.
Then I'll put the ice boots on him.
Aftercare, the most important thing.
Don't want any injuries now.
It's a very hard life.
Yeah.
Being Ashley's dad.
I'm just going to say, yeah, I've already videoed him.
He's got to take the studs out soon, though, so he'll have to get up.
OK, so we're just walking Maximus's course.
It's quite nice, because there are quite a few of the novice jumps,
but there are a few big hedges, like this one.
It was a little bit foggy this morning when I was on Zeb,
so we're just walking around, making sure we're happy with the ground.
And yeah, that's done well.
Yeah, it's looking OK at the minute, we think.
It's a sitting kick on these big ones.
So far, there's three big hedges.
The rest look fine.
Some what?
Three big hedges.
Sitting what?
Sitting kick.
Kick and go.
A rather large hedge.
Two more to jump.
What do you think about the course, then?
Yeah, I think there's four or five decent sized hedges.
You switch back on yourself in the other field there.
Yeah.
A lot of the ones that have just been jumped, is it the intermediate?
Or the novice?
The novice.
Yeah.
So, yeah, I think it's all due to the ground drying out nice.
Here we go.
Look at some B-roll here.
This is one of the hedges we've had.
A bit mental, aren't we?
Look for a stride.
They just kick and go.
That was the inter-speed.
We are not going that quickly.
My team, we're just going for a nice round.
We're all pretty new to team chasing and intermediate team chasing,
so we're just going to go for a nice round.
They're not even playing that rough either, are they?
No.
OK, all good.
I think we are going to go, I think.
Yeah.
I think that's the view of it.
Yeah.
Let's get ourselves organised.
OK.
Good boy.
Ready for your turn, Max.
OK, explain what's going on.
Right.
Some time has passed.
I'm getting Max ready.
Yeah.
He is doing the intermediate bogey.
Yeah.
You didn't know if you were going to jump it because of the ground.
Because of the ground, it was quite boggy this morning,
so I wasn't really sure this morning because A, you don't want to injure him,
and B, you don't want to scare him.
But the ground has been drying out very well.
Yeah.
So we are going for it.
OK, you are going for it.
However, there are a few large hedges,
and I'm feeling rather nervous and rather sick.
OK.
So that's where we're at at the minute.
Got it.
So we're going to talk to Steve slash Harry.
We're going to do this.
Are we going ahead with it?
Yeah.
Yeah?
Yeah, the ground was all right.
The ground was a bit boggy, but it's dried up.
It's dried right up.
I'm having a choco biscuit.
Yeah.
I'm feeling a bit weak.
Yeah.
Explain the food that you've had today.
You haven't been Mr. Healthy today, have you?
I've had some rubbish today.
Coffee, almond.
I've had a coffee, an almond croissant.
Terrible.
Yeah.
I've then had a bacon cheese and Steve.
Bacon and brie.
A pizza.
And then a pizza.
Then I've had a chocolate biscuit, and I've had a sweet.
Brilliant.
Oh, and I've had a pint of lager.
Yeah.
And you've spilled a lot on your top there, haven't you?
Most of it's down my toe.
I've got chocolate all over my hands like a child,
but I'm going to have some water.
Nice.
Right.
Perhaps the only thing that's been any good today is water.
And what does Ash have to do today?
Kick and go.
Especially with Max.
I know you're jealous.
I know he wants to go again, but Max's turn now.
He's waited long enough.
You're on film, guys.
I don't actually think I've told them that I have a YouTube channel.
Well, how's he feeling?
Okay, it's just hard to gauge because, A, this warm-up is so, like, the ground's horrible.
And you've got this piddly little jump.
I mean, the hedge is, like, five times as big as that,
so it's quite hard, really.
Yeah, to get him warmed up.
Okay, he's jumping well here, but then one and two are tiny.
Three's a bit more of a decent-sized hedge,
and then all of a sudden you come across this huge hedge.
He's not going to know what's hit him.
No.
We believe in you.
And we believe in you.
That's good.
Yeah, he's excited.
Good boy.
Right.
He's got to kick on.
Kick and go, eh?
I've got to kick on, and I've got to make sure his head is far enough up
so he can see what he's doing because his head's down here.
So I've just got to make sure his head's up.
Nice.
All right, good luck.
Give myself a pep talk there.
Smash it.
Good boy.
Well done, buddy.
Oh, good boy.
Good boy.
Oh, good lad.
Oh, good boy.
Well done.
He jumped everything mega.
Smashed it.
Oh, good boy.
Because that was just, he was absolutely, he was just taking it on.
The first hedge, he took a flyer.
Yeah.
I thought he was going to chip in.
He took a flyer, and I was like, OK, we're going to be fine.
And he just took on every hedge.
Oh, he was amazing.
Absolutely amazing.
Yeah, well done.
Smashed it.
Good boy.
Smashed it.
I thought he jumped really well.
Really well.
And she was having to hold.
Yeah.
Because she was in a really nice rhythm, but they were all a bit.
Yeah, I saw that.
Because I thought he jumped really nicely.
OK, guys.
Finished my round on Max, and he was just absolutely mega dad.
He was.
You were at one of those hedges.
Yeah.
He was amazing.
He was just amazing.
Those hedges were huge.
Someone said it was five foot high and six foot wide.
Mincemeat.
Four boys there.
All four legends.
Izzy on Tiny.
Mick on Kato.
Ash on Zeb.
And Ash on Maximus.
Overall, the good day.
Very good day.
We're all exhausted.
Ashley and co have been up since 4am.
Yeah.
Yeah, we're all knackered, but.
I've been up since 6.
Izzy's squatting in the corner like Gollum.
I was just doing this up.
Caroline's packing up, and Steve's lost it.
No, Steve's just tired.
Loads of them out there.
Doing the horse.
I'm looking at my phone.
Also, Harry bought you a brand new collar, didn't he?
Let's have a look at that.
Oh, pretty dog.
Cross-country schooling that we filmed ages ago.
Right, hang on.
Harry's just found GIFs on his phone.
Show me the one you just found.
Show me your phone.
Hold on.
I'm just...
Right, show me that.
That is loading.
A dog wiping his bum.
Why is that so funny?
You're a child.
I'm going to send some more now.
