Man, Yankees fans are not having a great showing so far this World Series.
Now, I'll say it before and I'll say it again, most of any fan base is not crazy or evil.
It's just a loud minority that can make a lot of people look bad.
And in Game 4 of this series, it was a couple of fans that made everyone look bad.
It ended up being a game that featured the Yankees looking at their absolute best.
Despite falling behind early again, they realized in order to win games,
you kind of have to sort of, you know, get hits to drive people home to score
The pitching did well, everything went Yankees in Game 4, but in the first inning,
it was looking like the Dodgers were well on their way to a clean sweep.
Freddy Faz- I mean, Freddy Freeman goes deep for a two-run shot in the first,
again, deja vu-ing it up in this bitch, but thanks to the Yankees finally figuring out you need to
not have less runs than the other team to win, they won. But in the bottom of the first, the
first Yankee hitter of the night, Glaber Torres, would hit a pop fly to right that found its way
into the first row of the stands, in foul territory. Mookie and Wright was all over it,
but so were these fans in one of the most blatant fan interference situations you'll ever see.
This dude full-on grabs Mookie's glove and tries to either take it off or pull the ball out of the
glove, neither in which he was successful in doing, and I know it's never smart or good to
judge a book by its cover, but I'm gonna do it here anyway. I'm gonna assume by the looks of it,
this guy isn't successful at doing anything. And then the guy next to him grabs Mookie's hand?
What on earth is this? Complete unhinged behavior, and these two losers were of course immediately
ejected. Think about how stupid these two dudes are. Those tickets were at least a couple grand,
all just to get ejected in the first inning looking like total assholes. Unreal. Now,
I never like calling out other creators, I just don't want unnecessary stupid drama,
so I'm gonna preface what I'm about to say with the fact that I have respect for John
Boy Media and everyone who works there. This isn't an attack on the company or anyone there,
it's just an opinion I have on the reaction to this. For those not aware, John Boy himself and
the lead guys there are big Yankee fans, and they just straight up laughed at this when it happened,
making it look like a full-on scene from The Impractical Jokers or something. I know Mookie
wasn't hurt or anything, but I just don't really see the humor in this. Can you imagine if fans did
that to Judge or Soto trying to catch a ball? Even their own employee and former MLB player
Trevor Plouffe condemned their laughter and called them out saying exactly what I just did,
the reaction would be different if it was a Yankee. Again, I respect John Boy,
but just wanted to give my opinion on that. But yeah, full-on grabbing Mookie's glove and the
other fan grabbing his hand? Unhinged. Hope it was worth getting banned from every ballpark.
Let me know your thoughts and thank you for watching.
