The Daughters of Louis XV Part 1 - Louise Elisabeth and Henriette Anne
The Mesdames de France was the name given to the eight daughters of King Louis XV. Most of the Mesdames lived their entire lives at court, without getting married.
The Eight Mesdames de France were :
• Louise-Élisabeth de France (1727 - 1759)
• Anne Henriette de France (1727 – 1752)
• Marie-Louise de France (1728 - 1733)
• Marie-Adélaïde de France (1732 - 1800)
• Victoire de France (1733 – 1799)
• Sophie de France (1734 - 1782)
• Thérèse-Félicité de France (1736 – 1744)
• Louise de France (1737 – 1787)
In today’s video we discuss the lives of Louise Elisabeth, who married Philippe 1, Duke of Parma, and Anne Henriette, who remained unmarried.
