How to Use Toronto Public Transit TTC: Beginners Ultimate Guide

[Music] hello everyone this is Amed D today I'm going to talk about how to use Toronto TTC uh TTC uh public transit system for the first time so you can pay several ways uh and if you're using street car bus or Subway is the the same every time so the first thing and the easiest way to enter any TTC uh station or bus or street car is to tap your uh Visa American Express or Master credit card uh in order to do that you can use the credit card directly or you can use like you know uh any system uh or Carrier such as Google p Apple pay or Samsung pay uh so that's the easiest way the other way you can use TTC uh Auto transit system is to buy a Presto card so you have to use use one of these machines which are located throughout the GTC system uh you can you have to buy a GTC Metro or Presto which is called uh for the first time and it's going to cost you about $6 as of recording this video and once you have that then you can pay it uh with that uh Presto card each time you enter a TTC train street car or bus or any TTC public transit vehicle and and if you are out of money then you can reload your Presto card using uh one of these machines and or you can reload online or just you can reload at any uh local Shoppers Drug mut they have the system too also you can buy Presto cards from Shoppers drugmart or some other stores which are TTC authorized to sell uh Presto cards and uh you can also reload there and also reload online and one of these machines at the same time you can also use prto card to pay the EP which is the EP Express uh going back and forth from Toronto Pearson Airport to uh Toronto Union Station which is located in the heart of downtown Toronto so if you have a Prest card you actually pay reduced fair you don't have to pay the full fair and that's a better way to pay your fair if you're taking uh the up coming from the airport to Toronto downtown Union Station so if you're traveling to Canada or Toronto for the first time so that's a very good way to you know uh go to downtown instead of taking a taxi or Uber which is going to be a lot more expensive so this is how you can use Toronto public transit for the first time it's very easy and simple thing to do and uh in my opinion the simplest one is the credit card but if you want to have a local taste then you can buy the Prest card uh mentions uh methods mentioned in this video and then you can go all over Toronto using the same card and also one special tip that if you're using that Toronto Transit System press to car within the first 2 hours then it's free you don't have to pay again because it doesn't it will not charge you and also if you're going to a little bit far let's say like you know other Toronto regions uh located within the greater Toronto area then also you can use the prto card to pay so this is like in one system for everything thank you for watching this video have a nice trip and I'll see you in the next video hi everyone this is walk lady and for today's video I'm going to show you how to buy Presto card from the TTC subway station vending machine so the machine guys you you will find it close to the entrance okay so let's do it so we have to buy new card and we have to click new card here so we just have to follow the instruction load funds so the card cost $4 okay so um continue maybe just $5 you know oh no no no it's too much now just $5 okay continue and then um um you can pay cash or debit credit but I will pay credit card so let's click that and it's you we can tap your credit card here oh it needs pin no it's okay so Presto card is uh I don't know what that was so we just have to check it here and it says trans transaction complete uh the balance is $5 and I get it from here guys yeah so now you can use your um your Presto card so you know what guys thank you for watching I hope uh I gave you a idea on how to buy the presso card from the TTC subway station bye for now hi everyone so I will show you how to load your Presto card in the machine so it it says here uh load check Presto card so let's click that and then insert your pesto card okay so it has a balance of $5 and I want to add more fund so load funds and then for example we um we want to uh add like $10 or 20 50 or more then you just have to click that or you just have to enter the amount so I want $10 for now so now it is $15 okay and I have to pay $10 so you can pay with cash or credit or debit cards okay so if you want to uh pay with credit card you just have to tap it here or insert and then and then press okay you know [Music]
