Manitoba Trans Canada Highway RV Trip 2019

Well, Tine, another beautiful day in Northern Ontario. So, where are we today, Tine? We are in Dryden. Dryden, Ontario. And who's looking over our shoulder today? A huge Max the Moose. He's so cool. Another one of the large roadside attractions in Canada. We just, we just couldn't not stop and see Max. And this is the start of our third day, isn't it, Norm? Yeah, we just had an overnight in Walmart. Which was great. In their parking lot. Yeah. With four other RVs. Yeah, so that was really busy. It was. And we had a good night's sleep and we got up, had our breakfast, we're on the road again. And now we're heading off to try and get to Winnipeg today. We are. So, here's Max the Moose. Big statue. And we have been seeing those danger road signs all the way over the mountains saying watch out for moose. Or as my mother would have said, there's a moose loose in the hoose. Anyway, here's Max the Moose. We're in Dryden, Ontario, on our way to Winnipeg. Well, the journey continues. And before we leave Northern Ontario, we just wanted to have our selfie picture taken with the Trans-Canada Highway sign. We've been on Highway 17, which is part of the Trans-Canada. And we've been on that for... Oh, I guess the last... Three and a half days. Three and a half days, yeah. So, we're looking forward to moving out of Ontario soon. Yeah, Ontario is a very big province. Yeah, we had no idea. You don't really know how big a place is till you drive across it. Exactly. So, here's the sign for Trans-Canada. And this is our day three and a half. Yes. And we're still in Ontario. Well, it's goodbye to Ontario for us instead of welcome to Ontario because we are just two kilometres from the border with Manitoba. Yeah, which will be very exciting because neither of us have been to Manitoba. No, we haven't. And it will be another first for us. So, this is the edge of Ontario. It is. And it was definitely a big place, wasn't it, Norm? It was. Three and a half days of driving just to get here from Toronto. And you're doing a great job, Norm. Anyway, we'll see you in Manitoba. So, this is the sign telling us that we're coming up to Manitoba in two kilometres. We thought we would just stop and use this as a part of our video. Well, that didn't take too long, did it, T? No, we were here in like less than a minute. Yeah, from the other side. So, here we are on the border and it's the Manitoba sign. It is. We're waiting to go in. This obviously attracts the stickers on the bottom of it. What's the animal on top of it, T? It's a bison, Norm. Oh, maybe that's the animal of Manitoba, but we don't really know it, do we? No, but it would be really cool if we saw a bison. We've been looking for moose and bears and we haven't seen any yet. The only bison we see is bison trucking and they're everywhere. Anyway. Oh, that's true, isn't it? Welcome to Manitoba on our journeys. Continuing our trip through Manitoba. It's wonderful. Beautiful weather, wide open spaces too. It's great. So, whereabouts are we today, T? We are in the centre of Canada. Just driving in the geographical centre of Canada. So, what better place to stop and celebrate Canada? Absolutely. So, just take a look at this. And there's a beautiful, just look at that. The whole design of the centre of Canada, isn't it? Unitudinal centre of Canada. Which is 96, 48, 35. We were just driving past, didn't we? Another roadside attraction worthy of a visit. Here's our Winnipeg tour. We've made it to Winnipeg. Yay! And here's the legislative building. That's very difficult to say. Yeah, that's why no one's saying it. So, this is the provincial parliament building of Manitoba in the centre of Winnipeg, isn't it? Beautiful blue sky. Yeah. So, although we're driving through, we just thought if there was a place we could stop. And we saw this beautiful building. So, come and have a look at it.
