New student loan forgiveness IF you can prove financial hardship

The Department of Education just announced a new rule that would allow for federal student loan forgiveness if the borrower has “financial hardship.” Now, there are a lot of rules around what that means, the factors that would need to be proven to qualify and how it would work.
