What in the COVID is going on? MotoVlog 002.
In this motovlog we are going to take a ride to downtown San Diego, a very oddly quite, downtown San Diego on our 2020 Harley Davidson Road Glide Special. We are going to talk about the COVID crisis and how it's effecting everyone before we look at a cinematic sequence of downtown. This Motovlog was filmed in the middle of the outbreak but it still holds true. Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2020 is right around the corner...will it happen?
In this Motovolog we will also see a few guest shots which will include a very sweet looking, Harley Davidson Road Glide CVO. Thanks for watching this Motovlog and please subscribe, comment, and share.
Welcome everybody.
I am the Full Throttle Hog with another moto vlog adventure.
And believe it or not it's been taking a couple days to actually film this episode here.
Some has to do with content and what's currently appropriate and what's really going on.
The other is we just had a constant amount of rain in San Diego believe it or not.
Like three weeks of rain.
So with that, we had a couple sunny days, had a chance to get out and film a little
bit.
But hopefully we can finish it up today.
But if this is your first time here, I would say welcome.
Thank you for stopping by.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch this video.
I do thank you.
If you like what you see, please, I ask you to do three things.
Three simple things.
Doesn't cost you a dollar.
Just go ahead and subscribe, like, and share this video as we continue to pump out more
content.
If you're not familiar with what we talk about here, it's pretty much everything motorcycle
related, moto vlogs, product review, bike review.
Along with that, we dabble in the production side of things and trying to bring you more
cinematic footage.
So hopefully you guys like what you see.
But we are going to take a trip down to downtown San Diego with everything that's been going
on.
The, you know, we're kind of in the back end now.
Depends on what time you guys are watching this, but it is April 16th, 2020.
So they already made announcements about reopening, kind of the economy and kind of getting us
back to the new normal, if you will.
Which got me thinking, I'm a little nervous, to be honest with you, because in this change
and something that we've never seen in the history of our country or the world, frankly,
it makes me kind of wonder if they are going to try to make this a common thing.
If you remember, we had swine flu and we had bird flu, H1N1 and all these different things
throughout time where they said, hey, this is going to be really bad.
Nothing like a shutdown that we've had.
But now that we've crossed that into that territory of shutting the entire world down
and closing it, what I'm really scared about is for them to come back in just a little
bit of time and all they got to say is, hey, there's something bad and we need to social
distance.
That makes me kind of nervous, to be honest with you.
So let me know.
I mean, because they could come back at any time and say, hey, we have a problem that
we are immediately, you know, instilling the social distancing program.
You know, what are they going to call it?
Are they just going to call it the outbreak program or whatever?
But we got kids staying home, people staying home from work.
They're shutting down all restaurants, 22 million people out of work and takes a huge
hit on the economy.
I understand nobody saw this one coming.
And if anything, it made us more prepared.
And at the very least, people started washing their hands as if that was a new thing.
I wasn't familiar that that was such a new, new idea of better hygiene, which is always
good.
And so now let's say let's let's fast forward.
Right.
So I keep on bringing up specifically the fact that I'm going to Sturgis this year for
the first time.
Right.
It's the 80th anniversary.
It should be a big, big deal.
As far as I know, it's still a go as of right now.
But watching the news, you know, there's going to be some places that aren't even going
to think about reopening their territories until we get to July.
Right.
And it's going to take several months to get past what they call phase three, where we
be, where we find our new normal, but still practicing social distancing.
So if you think about it, you know, that takes you automatically through the time of Sturgis
in August.
And they haven't even discussed what phase four is or if that's getting back to forever
being normal.
But, you know, this is going to take us all the way through to where we're going to be
right back into flu season again.
And my fear, again, is going to be that the government is going to be able to say at any
time we have another pandemic, if you remember.
So here's the example.
Right.
You had H1N1 killed way more people than the COVID-19 ever will.
Now, don't get me wrong, I don't want I believe that this is serious and that we got to take
it serious.
But COVID-19 compared to H1N1 was night and day.
And to be honest with you, I don't remember even blinking at H1N1.
But we've kind of developed this this tactic, the government at any time is going to be
able to come back and say, hey, we're back to social distancing and we don't want anybody
to get sick.
So we're just going to try to, you know, go with what the professionals say.
But it is kind of a scary thought to think at any time they can kind of shut everything
down across the globe.
And how many more times of this, you know, this rigmarole are we going to be able to
get through before it starts crushing nations, including our own?
Some things to think about.
So leave me a comment down below.
Let me know about your thoughts on exactly that.
And you'll be kind of curious to check it out.
You know, I'm always, you know, starting to think about different things that I miss and
things that might be that I missed that I didn't think that I would miss that badly.
But for me, the first thing I'm going to do when everything is lifted is go see my barber
because my situation is out of control.
Like this is a problem, folks.
This is a bad 70s movie right here.
So I got to get that mop taken care of.
But we are enjoying a beautiful sunny day in San Diego.
You know, there's only been a few of these.
And as far as I can remember, believe it or not, I know I'm complaining in San Diego,
but it is what it is.
But we're taking advantage of it.
I'm going to go down.
Traffic should be extremely quiet in downtown San Diego.
So not only do I expect to take some good still shots for Instagram, but I also want
to be able to get some video of downtown San Diego to show you guys because I'm not sure
when we'll have this type of opportunity again, minus getting a permit to shut down city streets.
I mean, it is dead.
Like we're talking completely empty.
So relatively speaking.
So we have to get some good video down there and show you guys the scenes in San Diego.
If you've never been to San Diego, but it is on your bucket list, please, please, please
make sure you go visit downtown because it is phenomenal.
So we're going to check out beautiful downtown San Diego.
And I think it's time for a little B-roll.
Right now, it's theoretically baseball season.
We should be we should be going to a Padre game probably tonight because it's baseball
season and that's what we do.
But we can't because there ain't no baseball going on right now.
And of course, right now we are going away from the area that I want to go, wanted to
go the opposite direction.
So we're going to take the long way there.
All right, well, hopefully you guys enjoyed that B-roll as much as I did filming it.
I'm really curious about your thoughts on what is going to happen from here.
Are we going to have another shutdown in the near future?
It'd be so easy for them to do.
But you know, just my thoughts on this short little moto vlog.
But don't forget to like, share and subscribe if you like the content.
And until next time, don't forget to ride, relate and create.
