I'm setting myself up to make an iced strawberry matcha today I have some strawberries from down the road There's a local barn that I picked up a bunch of strawberries from Eliana's been loving them But I have lots more and I've been craving a strawberry matcha I've tried them before but I've never made one myself. So I have a little muddler here I've got my cup. I need to grab some ice the matcha and whatever milk I want to use Eliana's hanging out down here. She loves a good kitchen gadget Literally any toy ever they keep her busy for so long So when in doubt just hand them a baking spoon first off I'm going to cut the tops off of the strawberries. I've never made this before so we're winging it guys I'm not really sure how many I am going to add some sugar to the strawberries that normally I'd like to do maple syrup But we are out. So I'm just going to do One teaspoon Crushing them I'm thinking I might have done a little bit too many strawberries, but that's fine because I will Save it and then use it for a strawberry matcha tomorrow Perfect, I just need to Less chunky. I am grabbing several spoonfuls of mashed strawberry liquid Okay, now it's time to do our matcha part Added a little bit of water to my matcha powder and I'm gonna whisk All right matcha is our next step nice nice And I am using organic whole a2 milk. I love me some whole milk I use oat milk too, but today I want whole milk with this And Drop at the top, okay Look at that. The real moment of truth is a taste test, but I have to take a photo of it first She's pretty but the real question is how does she taste? That is so good Brave of me I'm in the shed right now. I'm gonna wipe you guys off I've just come out to the shed baby is having her second half of the day I've just put on some clothes that I care a little bit less about and I'm going to be painting some stuff. I Have this little Alex sanded it for me and I am going to paint it I'm gonna just paint it black because we have this in our living room and It doesn't match with anything in its current state If I can get around to it, which I don't know if I will but I'm going to be painting these That color that we have the board and batten wall of Eliana's nursery These are little bookshelves and we took them down because we didn't like the way that it was arranged But I want to paint them the green color of the board and batten wall because we have more of that paint left And I think it'll look really nice just matching and it will just add more color to the room I'm on the last one and she's still napping Now this one looks like the correct color that my friends is actually black Well, my little DIY project is drying outside right now I Have just come into the guest cottage and I am looking at the space Just thinking about what I need in a previous vlog. I talked about getting a little kitchen situation right here Where people could cut and also sit for a bistro Table because there's nowhere to really sit in the kitchen area. I also Want a rug for the office space Just so that it feels like its own little cozy corner and the floors can be quite cold in here We have the fridge open so that it can air out. But this is where I would put a little bistro table I'm gonna remove this out of there. I used it for something else I want to find a curtain rod and a nice light curtain right here just for some privacy So if you're entering the kitchen you just yeah Don't feel like anyone can see you not that there's anybody that can see you out here But it will just feel a little bit cozier. What are you doing? She's pretty much crawling I also want to get like a little coat rack for right here It just feels like it's time to just add a couple more finishing touches To this area and I'm so excited to do it because it's finally gonna be done Which is so exciting We're also going to add a shelf right there where the kitchen Nook is so that we can add all like the coffee cups and just have a little bit more storage So it would be like right there Good morning, it is the next day. I'm kind of whispering cuz Eliana has fallen asleep In the car seat, oh Freaking cute. She's got a little teddy bear sweater on with little ears and Cheeks and lips. We're having a little mommy-daughter date this morning We're going to stop into a bakery that we've never been into before I posted yesterday my strawberry matcha on Instagram that I showed you guys and a viewer Replied to me in my direct messages and was like, did you know that this bakery does strawberry matchas on Saturday? and Then I went to the Instagram of the bakery and they had so many Delicious baked goods. I saw like cinnamon buns I saw like Nutella cookies I just saw all sorts of different things and they do like the classic kiwi pies and stuff like that So we're gonna go in I'm probably gonna get a couple pastries for us And then I might get a couple more for our neighbors and I'll stop by their house and drop them off Because my neighbor just really hurt her knee. So I'm sure she'll love to have a nice little good treat and I Yeah, just gonna have a slow morning and bring you guys along with me to discover this new little bakery We've just gone in I got my iced Strawberry matcha and I know I can make mine at home, right? I just gave you guys the recipe but It's Saturday morning, I'm trying out a new bakery they have one I don't know anywhere in town that makes these so I'm just holding Eliana here She's chillin in the seat while we're waiting Different this one's definitely like More professional. Did I say this yet? We're waiting for my mom brain is intense lately I'm waiting for a cinnamon bun because they're not ready yet, and I really want one and she said 30 minutes now it's probably 20 minutes, but I got a fresh loaf of ciabatta, I mean It's still warm. I want to pull these off of it right now, but I didn't go away Okay, we are official we've got the goods in the car a very kind lady Helped me carry them out to the car because I had Eliana And they're secured I got four because I'm dropping a couple off at my neighbor's house Are you kidding me? Yeah, I Have no words they are fresh I Don't have a napkin though. That's gonna be a problem I think I have a napkin in the car Cuz I definitely want to take a bite of this I won't eat it all right now, but I have to take a fresh bite You know what? I mean? Just like it has to be done. So I'm gonna pull my seat up I need to turn on the car cuz it's actually hot today The Sun is shining need to cool down the car I took both of our sweaters off because I love having some animals around. It's just it's just joyful. Okay Night like honestly, I don't want to run in there. So I'm just gonna go for it and Lick my fingers, I guess. Okay ready and take a bite of this hmm All right, you kidding me that was the best thing I've had In a long time. Do they have these every day? I'm not gonna eat them every day But I just I need to know what the schedule is because I need to come right when they're out of the oven every time Oh my gosh Okay, thank you guys Okay.
