My Ww2 9th Armored Division Collection

Hey guys, so today I wanted to do a 9th armored division collection video for you guys and um, This is a video i've been wanting to make for a couple months now But just trying to find the time and and energy I guess to record this video, but today's the day Um for those you guys that don't know, um, I collect 9th armored division as well as other military items And um, the reason that I collect 9th if you're new to my channel Is because of this man right here His name was elvin wright little john and he was in the 9th armored division. He was a dear friend of mine and um I'm not going to talk a whole lot about him right now because i've made other videos about him that i'll Have links in the description if you want to know about this man's life and service So check out the links in the description But he was the 9th armored division a good friend of mine And um, you know, he told me stories about battle of the bulge the ludendorff bridge, uh, german occupation And um, sadly he passed away in 2021 at the age of 99 And he had set a goal for himself to live to be a hundred and unfortunately, he missed it by about nine months But again, if you want to know about him check out those videos, but I had this made for him right here Which was pretty cool. He was in the second tank battalion of the 9th armored division Tank driver became tank commander got a few other little 9th armored Um little books and then the movie here and little patches and stuff I actually just recently got this pillow sham here, which is pretty cool 9th armored division Got this musette bag here that actually came with one of the jackets that is uh, you know displayed here Um, i was trying to find a big enough space to record this video and the living room floor was pretty much my only option Um, what you see here is a total of 22 uniforms Um, some of them are ike jackets some of them are dress jackets A couple officer's uniforms as well And um out of all these here, um, some of them are names Some of them have initials and a handful of them are neither, you know It's always cool whenever you can add a piece to your military collection It has a name and you can track down the history of that soldier their unit and everything kind of adds to the fun Of the collecting and preserving of these items And so what i'm going to do is i'll go ahead and just kind of pan everything and show you guys um What all I have here and I just want to say thank you to all the other collectors out there That's helped me acquire a lot of these items here A lot of people have been looking out for me and some still are and I appreciate a lot I'm always looking for more So i'll just go ahead and kind of start here at the top and just kind of pan everything And you know some jackets have more going for them than others Um, but you know, some just have different variations of patches and Awards and everything I've actually got um At least one or two more videos planned about some of these Uniforms and jackets that have pretty cool story And history with them. So y'all definitely stay tuned for that There's a really nice one right there And most of the time you guys that follow me know I do new additions videos or new edition unboxing and some of these uh jackets and uniforms you've never seen before because I just didn't want to keep on and on and on doing unboxing videos of 9th armored uniforms only or mostly But like I said, i'm just going to kind of show you what i've got here some again are you know more special than others, but Um, like I said, I love this unit i've got a personal attachment to it Because of you know, my veteran friend And I wish he was still here with me Or with us, you know, he's an incredible person But um, I hope you like what you see so far. Um I know some of you guys have your own Particular units, you know that you collect and look for And uh, you know, I think that's really fun and cool when you're looking for You know something specific whereas, you know, a lot of guys just want a little bit of everything And that's how I am too in a way, you know, I like a little bit of everything but Just really focusing on the 9th It's a really nice officer uniform Again, really really cool Um, I have done some research On you know, some of these that are named and found a little bit on, you know, find the grave and world war ii enlistment Um ancestry fold three Just different websites that i'm sure a lot of you guys use as well But some of them like I said have some really cool stuff going for them Y'all let me know in the comments what you think About this video and you know Any uh anything that stands out that you think is cool or anything you might want to see a video on Now this right here is just a shirt and all together I think I have like three or four shirts That have 9th armor patches on them And uh, that's just the only one I got separate. There's again two or three with some of these uniforms and jackets, but Yeah, like I said, this is my passion uh, you know, not just 9th, but Collecting, you know old military stuff, you know preserving history being a caretaker and everything Really means a lot to me to preserve the memory and you know all the sacrificing and everything that was given for this great country But again, I don't want this to be just a long drawn out video.
