Stenzel SAK-21: "American-Made AK" Does Not Do It Justice

Calling the Stenzel SAK-21 an "American-made AK" really does it an injustice. It conveys an image of the typical mediocre parts-kit-build AKM, when really the SAK-21 is a beautifully engineered and manufactured new design. Yes, it takes several major elements from the AK, but it has zero parts interchangeable with the AK and makes several significant design deviations. Fundamentally, it is a scratch-built rifle intended to give the best of American rifle design with AK magazine and ammunition compatibility.
