Guys, so I'm for sure certain a lot of you guys probably never heard of Hello World,
which is a sci-fi action romance anime movie that came out in 2019.
Ah, I remember back in those days.
That was during a time when I was going through my little romance saga of anime.
Trust me, I still love romance animes, but I was heavily into it then.
But after watching movies like A Silent Voice and Your Name,
I got addicted to these anime movie titles.
Almost every year up until now, I started to look up on Google for any of the new
anime movies strictly romance.
All of the other genres are just extra.
But in 2019, I found A Gym in Disguise.
Instantly, I wanted to watch it.
Didn't need to watch the trailer or anything.
I just looked at a few screenshots of the film, and my curiosity was peaked.
Sorry, I just had to put that in there.
Honestly, I would consider this to be one of the most underrated romance movie
animes I ever laid my eyes on.
I am genuinely surprised that this didn't get as much notoriety.
But before we get into the review, let me give you guys a brief summary about the movie itself.
Hello World is about a high school boy named Naomi Katagaki, who lives in Kyoto in the year
2027, who encounters a person who is claiming to be Naomi from 10 years in the future.
Together, they must change the future and save a classmate, Ruri, whom the younger Naomi needs
to start dating in 3 months.
Now that we have the premise out of the way, let's get into the review.
Like I said earlier, this is one of the most underrated romance movie animes that I have
ever watched.
The characters are really likable, and the art was pretty good too, besides the CGI when
it comes to character movements.
They could have done a bit better with that.
It's doable though.
But I think the main thing that really highlights this movie is it's story.
This story is so compelling and thrilling to watch play out that even though the CGI
was a little bit janky with the character movements, I just put all of that on the back
burner because after about 15-20 minutes in, I could care less about the CGI at that point.
I just wanted to see more.
And oh my god, the final act of this movie takes such a crazy turn.
Watching this act will make you feel like you're watching a really really cool version
of a Matrix movie, or a really crazy acid trip.
Guys, I cannot explain to you how blown away I was when this act happened.
Hell, I think this is where all the damn CGI money went into.
The final damn act.
These scenes were so awesome that I can't even put into words of how much I enjoyed
it.
But let's not forget the main reason why I watched this movie in the first place.
The romance.
Dude, when I tell you that the relationship between Naomi and Ruri was so well done all
the way from the beginning to the end.
Bruh, I literally started to feel envious.
I wish that could be me.
Wait, that's literally how I feel after watching almost every single romance anime.
But that's besides the point.
I love how the older version of himself kind of takes on this big brother role.
The older version of himself knows everything and how it's going to play out.
But his younger self doesn't.
So he still has to teach him how to talk to girls and stuff.
It's pretty adorable.
I also really like that when moments are supposed to be taken seriously, they're serious.
The movie is just beautiful.
And if you have a sensitive heart like me, this movie will make you feel warm inside
while also giving you a bunch of crazy action and good visuals.
Guys, if you have not watched this anime movie, I highly suggest you do.
To be honest, I would have to say this is one of my most favorite movie animes.
So now onto the ratings.
Well, I would have to give this movie a 9 out of 10.
I know guys, that's really freaking high.
I absolutely loved it.
The CGI wasn't that great besides from the last act.
That shit was dope.
I'm not even gonna lie with you.
But still, you can still watch it without feeling like you're watching an awkward
motion picture film.
But everything else in this movie was perfect.
Like, I'm so serious.
I watched this movie twice and it's been 3 years since it came out and I still remember
it.
Even though it became irrelevant.
That's a crazy feat for me since I watched so many animes during that time.
Yet this one stuck.
But what do you guys think?
Did you like this video?
And also, if you haven't or have seen this movie, what did you think about it?
