So hi guys, so today we're going to talk about the best white wines for beginners, the wine
that you should absolutely try if you are starting to approach the wine world or the best white wine
that you have to try, absolutely, that are easy to find, that are approachable, that I'm sure you
will love it. So with this series that I also checked the description below where I put the
best red wines, with this series I want to give you some of the best grape varieties and wines
that you can find in the marketplace right now that you should absolutely try. So in this video
I selected a white wine that comes from Spain, from Galicia and it is Albariño. I have here
Castro Martin Albariño, family estate from Valdosalnes, that is one of the best area of
of Spain, of Galicia. So why did I choose Albariño and I didn't want to choose maybe Sauvignon or
Chardonnay? Well I didn't want to go for the common place, I just wanted to give you some
different possibility around that common white grapes. So as you can see it has a beautiful
color, it is bright, it has a straw yellow and we're gonna now discover it a little bit more.
So Albariño is a white grape that grows perfectly in Galicia, that is the best area for Albariño
and also in Portugal you can find it. There are also some other countries that they started to
produce this grape variety like Australia, like New Zealand, but the best one comes from Galicia
where it comes from originally. So Galicia is in the northwest part of Spain, it is a wet area of
Spain, it is close to the Atlantic, so super wet, a lot of rain and this grape tries there because
it has a thick skin so it supports well the high humidity and all the fungal diseases that
eventually can create the high humidity and rain. So let's check it out how it is absolutely.
So you have these lovely lovely aromas of stone fruit, you have a lot of peach, you have apricot,
but also you have apple, you have a little bit of citrus, so it is very ample. Moreover, in many
types of Albariño, not all the styles are like this, but usually you feel a little bit of
yeast because it is partially aged on leaves as well. It is not aged in wood and cask usually
and it is aged on leaves, so therefore the wine becomes a little bit more round and not too
fleshy and lively, so it is perfect to accommodate, I would say, the taste of everybody.
So Albariño is perfect with seafood. In Galicia they pair this
wine absolutely with all the shellfish that they have in there, crustaceans and white fish in
general. It absolutely works very very well, but even with a veggie plate like a veggie pasta or
cold pasta works very very well in my opinion. So if you haven't yet subscribed, please subscribe
