What happens when you go over your credit card limit and max out your credit card? There are a few things that can happen to your credit card if you go over the allotted limit. Your card will eventually decline (whether at the limit slightly after), you might pay an over-the-limit fee and the APR on the credit card can go up as well if your "credit worthiness" is negativley affected. And there's a good chance your credit score will go down with a maxed out credit card too. This is because of your credit usage and I'll explain it briefly in this video.
