Hello there friends! If you are returning, I would like to welcome you back to our little house on
the mountain. And if you are new here and you enjoy today's video, I would love to have you
click that subscribe button so that you can visit with us again. Today I'm going to walk you through
step-by-step how to do lymphatic drainage massage. This has become one of my personal favorite parts
of my routine, and I was a certified massage therapist a few moons ago, and it was amazing
to see how certain types of massage therapy, even when done on yourself, done simply in a short
amount of time, can help stimulate healing in the body. For me, lymphatic massage has been helpful
in skin tightening, boosting immune response, and it is also a wonderful way to gently detoxify the
body every single day. Now, I like to do this every day. I don't always get to it, admittedly, but
it is on my list of things to attempt to do every day. We all have multiple lymph nodes and a
lymphatic system from here up through our face, and when we drain it, we are helping our body's
detoxification system to happen, which overall helps our body in its self-healing process. We
have a creator who made these bodies in such a miraculous, complex way, and they are designed
to heal themselves. So it is quite simple. All you will need for this lymphatic drainage massage
is some face oil and your hand. I got myself a set of these stones. I will link everything
in the description box and pin it in the comments below. These were very budget-friendly, and I have
really enjoyed using these for my lymphatic massage, but if you don't want these and you
don't have these, you can absolutely use your hand. This is my homemade face oil, and if you
are interested in DIY face oils that you can make at home, I have a whole blog post on it about how
the different oils work with different skin types, so I will link that as well in the description box
and pinned in the comments below. This just has jojoba oil, sunflower oil, vitamin E, carrot oil,
and some frankincense oil. And don't be afraid of oils. I know we are typically today encouraged to
put harsh things on our skin and to strip it and cleansers and chemicals, which in the short term
can have nice effects, but in the long term, it is really bad for your skin. And part of the reason
why our skin gets so oily is because when we are constantly stripping our skin or putting harsh
chemicals on it, our body is trying to produce more natural oils to balance itself, and that's
why sometimes we get the overly oily skin. So don't be afraid of oils. Don't be afraid of tallow.
And if you have really sensitive skin, don't be afraid to try goat's milk products for your skin.
So all I'm going to do is put a squeeze of my oil on my hands, and I would apply this to my face,
my neck, and if I wasn't doing this video, I would be also applying it to my chest area and just
underneath my armpits. And it's very important when you do this that you use these natural
products on your skin because you definitely don't want to be putting anything with chemicals
under your armpits. And the oil is not only going to nourish your skin, but it's going to help your
hand or your stones to glide over the skin nice and gently while you're doing your massage.
All right, so now we're going to walk through the massage step by step. I will count for you,
but basically each movement you want to do five to ten times depending on how swollen you are.
If you feel a cold coming on or your glands, the limbs right here are a little bit swollen,
you might want to do it eight to ten times. But for the purposes of this video, we'll just do
each movement five times. So I'm not going to do this on my skin for modesty reasons,
but what you would do is you would start with your hand like this underneath your armpit where
those lymph nodes are, and you would just circle one, two, three, four, five, and then you would
switch to the other side. One, two, three, four, and five. Then you're going to come right here
under the collarbone. One, two, three, four, five. One, two, three, four, five. And this is
just really a nice time to take some deep breaths, to recite some scriptures in your mind,
to speak life into yourself. This world is chaotic. We're going to go right here right now
above the collarbone. And this world is chaotic. Three, four, five. You know that new speed can
be stressful. Over here. One, two, three, four, five. And sometimes we just need a moment.
Now we're going to come here. You know where you get those swollen glands when you feel something
coming on? You're going to go there. And this pressure, this is not deep pressure. This is not
a deep tissue massage. You don't need to press in really hard. I'm actually going to grab my
stones for this one. You don't need to press in really hard. This is just taking the fluid
and nicely directing it in the place that it needs to go. So we're going to start up here.
If you're using your hand, you just use the majority of your hand from here, and you're
going to go downward. You're going to wrap the tips of your fingers around the back of your neck.
And this part of your hand is going to go here, and you're just going to go down. If you have
one of these, you can do it like that. You can use these wherever you want to. One, two, three,
four, five. And again, if you want to do more of them, absolutely. Switch to the other side.
One, two, three, four, and five. Then we're going to come here to the jawline. And this is one of
the areas where when people do this every day, they notice a de-puffing here, and they notice
skin tightening here in their jawline. So I'm going to take this. There's a little divot here,
but you can absolutely just use your fingers however you're comfortable.
One, back to that jaw right there, and that might feel sensitive to you if it's tight.
Two, three, four, five. One, two, three, four, five. And then we're going to go up here. This
wonderful for sinus congestion and allergies. One, two, three, four, five. One, two, three,
four, five. We are almost done. I'm going one side here, one side of the eyebrow. If you were using
your hands, you would just do this. And remember, you're always coming back to this area. So you're
coming down. You want everything to be going in the right direction. This is coming to the jawline.
And you're going like this. One, two, three, four, five. One, two, three, four, five. Now that we've
moved this fluid, we're going to quickly come back to the neck and move this down where it needs to
go. One, two, three, four, five. One, two, three, four, five. And here, one, two, three, four, five.
One, two, three, four, five. You did it. So anytime you need to come back here, you can mark this
video, come back and do this with me. And eventually it will become second nature. You just remember
you're working your way up and then back down. And when you're on the face, you want everything
to go towards this area, generally around here, armpits, under collarbone, above collarbone,
down from the ear, down the neck, jaw, cheeks, forehead, and then back down the neck and over.
And you are done. I hope that you all enjoyed this video today. Remember that everything will
be in the description box, including the blog post, oils, the tools that I'm using in today's video.
Our website is there. Please go ahead and check that out. That would mean a lot to me. And if you
