This is a vlog from a trip to New York in June.
Of course, the flight was ANA.
This was Sutan's ninth trip overseas.
And thanks to ANA's great hospitality,
she's getting used to the long flight.
We enjoy high quality meals and movies on board.
This time, we traveled to an event to meet Kimonoko
in collaboration with a restaurant
and to present umami sauce at a food show.
I asked Sutan if she wanted to stay in Japan with a grandma,
but she would go with us.
Sometimes I have to ask her to be a little patient
when I take her to work, but I guess,
but I hope that is also for her growth.
I wonder what she feels in a little hurt
because I've never traveled anywhere when I was her age.
We arrived at JFK airport after a 30 hour flight.
Sutan has already done well.
It was another trip where I could see how much she has grown
and she makes us grow as parents.
Hi!
Hey, girl!
It's really good. I like it.
It's like a little savory.
Sweet potato crème brûlée.
Roasted sweet potato with kinako cheese on top.
Good girl. You're good at watching.
It's different here.
It's like a pet bottle.
I was making it today.
Here?
Yes, in this hotel.
Did you see it?
Did you wake up?
When you were sleeping,
I heard your snoring.
Did you wake up?
Oh, that's why you woke up.
I was wondering why you were so sleepy at that time.
It's because you were slacking off.
Slacking off?
It's morning in Japan now.
But it's night in America now.
So I thought it was time for you to wake up.
But it's dark outside, so you're sleepy.
But you can't sleep at all.
That's what I thought.
Tomorrow is the day of the kimono.
I'm really looking forward to it.
Good luck, Sutan.
Let's sleep tonight and be in a good mood tomorrow.
Good night.
See you tomorrow.
Wow, the morning glow is beautiful.
What is this?
It looks like it's going to be done.
But I don't remember.
I thought I remembered the shape of the window forever.
From here, I can see the window frame.
Oh, that's interesting.
And the scenery.
And the green.
There's a person drawing a pattern on this side.
Can I see it?
Good morning.
Look at me.
I ate my nose today.
My nose is black.
You have a cute face.
It says, I love you.
Thank you.
What color is curry?
Brown or yellow.
What color is rice?
White.
What do you call the brown part?
Curry rice.
Curry rice and curry...
Curry roux!
Yes, that's right.
It's a flying thing, isn't it?
Flying thing?
Is it rice or fruit?
No.
The answer is...
Evolution.
Correct!
It's a slow thing.
What?
It's a merry-go-round.
Oh, it's a merry-go-round.
It's true.
Wow, it's a memory.
Your shoulders are tired, aren't they?
Put your arms around my shoulders.
It feels good.
If you put your arms around my shoulders, I'll be happy.
Put your arms around my shoulders, too.
Yes, yes, yes.
It's a little different, isn't it?
Show me your hips.
What are you doing?
This part is amazing.
It's so soft.
I'm going to sit here.
I'm so happy.
Look.
The light of the sun is shining brightly.
This is the first time I've ever sold this.
This is Mami Soso from US Production.
I'm going to put my message on the label.
Dear Kimonoko,
It says a lot of new things about Su-chan.
The event was sold out soon.
75 people are coming to Kimonoko.
I want to say hello in English.
The staple spoon is 90ml.
360ml
In Japan,
90ml is 6 tablespoons.
How many tablespoons should I say?
90ml umami sauce
360ml water
How many tablespoons should I say?
I brought you a candy.
There are a lot of little kids.
He's smaller than Su-chan.
Do you want to give some to Kimonoko?
Thank you, Su-chan.
Do you want more?
What do you say?
Thank you.
Please enjoy.
The tofu has been pressed with a cheesecloth
for the past two days.
We will try to extract
the excess moisture out of the tofu.
We will incorporate
kombu dashi,
umami sauce,
and a touch of
kosher salt.
If you see all the ingredients,
you are more than welcome
to try to make it at home.
If not, come and see me
at Kimonoko.
Cheers!
It's really good.
Thank you, guys.
3, 2, 1
How do you think?
It's delicious.
It tastes a lot like ice cream.
It's not super sweet.
It's a good dessert.
It would be very good
for after dinner.
The New York event
is over.
I was worried
if Su-chan
would be in a bad mood,
but she was totally fine.
She was such a good girl.
Why were you such a good girl today?
Oh, she is sleeping in the jet lag.
She is sleeping now.
Su-chan and Papa
told me about Kimonoko.
How was it?
When we arrived,
Su-chan said she didn't want
to play in the water anymore.
No one was there?
There were a lot of kids
playing in the water
It was not fun.
I wanted to sleep,
but a Japanese man
and a Japanese girl
lived next to us.
I asked them
if I could play with them.
They said they were about to leave.
I wanted to see them again.
After that,
Su-chan didn't want to play anymore.
So I asked her
if she wanted to go for a walk.
She said she wanted to sleep.
Oh, you wanted to sleep.
I see.
There are times
you only met in the park.
When you go on a trip for a year,
you will be able to
learn a lot
and experience a lot.
a lot of valuable things.
But you won't belong
to an organization.
Su-chan's skills
will be lost
in a year.
You have to be in an environment
where you don't lose your skills.
If you keep
talking in Japanese,
you won't be able
to go anywhere.
Even now,
I can speak Japanese
because I have Japanese friends.
I don't want to be dangerous,
but I want to get along
with the people
around me.
Today,
Su-chan talked to her
and said,
we're going to play over there.
Maybe
Su-chan's sad face.
She said,
I can't go home
because I'm just there.
So let's go.
What do you think Su-chan said?
Why?
She said,
you can't speak Japanese,
but you live here,
so you can speak English.
She said,
you can speak Japanese,
but you live here,
so you can speak English.
She said,
you can speak Japanese,
but you live here,
so you can speak English.
You can feel
many things
and grow up.
The event was over,
and Su-chan and my dad
went to the park.
I fell asleep,
and woke up around 11 o'clock.
There were 75 girls
coming to the party.
Today was a limited party, so I had to buy a ticket in advance.
There was also a kimono girl who couldn't buy it, so it was a limited party.
I think there will be an event where kimono girls come every time.
I was so moved that I almost cried.
I'm really grateful.
Thank you always.
Social media is connected only by the screen.
Sometimes I wonder how far my feelings have reached.
Sometimes it's hard to keep raising it while there are many different people.
I know that you are watching and supporting us every week in such a far country.
But when you tell me directly, I feel it again.
I feel like I have to work harder.
You know more about me, our family and our team than I think.
I'm overflowing with gratitude.
Thank you very much.
My voice is a little loud.
I'm sorry.
I had time to talk to each person.
I was happy.
I'm rooting for the road trip.
I was so happy that everyone did it.
Thank you for sending me a lot of information about the road trip.
The information of the people who actually live will be very useful.
The camping car is hard, so you can take a bath at home.
Thank you.
The people at the hotel also cooperated very well.
It's a journey of gratitude.
I have to work hard and return the favor as soon as possible.
Tomorrow is the Summer Fancy Food Show.
I will do my best.
This Summer Fancy Food Show is a very important Summer Fancy Food Show for Umami Sauce.
I came to this Summer Fancy Food Show last year.
I've been negotiating a lot since then.
I've been working hard for a year to decide on a variety of things.
I'm looking forward to the results.
What is it?
This is a magic cup.
Please don't open it.
It's cute.
This is really cute.
No, no, no.
Don't open it.
You didn't let me see it earlier.
It's easy to paint.
It's a painting of Yamada Moe.
Can I paint it?
I'm waiting for the Summer Fancy Food Show today, so I'll paint it.
How about this?
It's so cute.
Did you make it?
It's amazing.
It's cute.
I'm glad you like it.
The baby sings a lullaby in the cradle.
Did you make it?
It's amazing.
Thank you so much.
We're so amazed.
How beautiful.
We enjoyed having you guys.
You guys are so good.
You're such a good host.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
It's Sunday.
I have the most important consultation ever.
I'll do my best.
Thank you for waiting for me.
Did you make it?
It's amazing.
It's easy to paint.
Look at this.
It's fast.
I'm so tired.
Thank you so much.
I haven't been here.
What's this place called?
It's called Refinery Hotel in New York.
How many times have you been to New York?
It's my third time.
I love New York.
You can feel the art here.
It looks like Ginza.
Look at this.
Refinery Times.
When I came here last year,
a Refinery staff interviewed me.
Let me show you the Refinery room.
Hello.
Excuse me.
What are you doing?
I'm brushing my teeth.
Why are you brushing your teeth in the bathroom?
What's that?
Please push me.
This is to feel your growth.
You have a lot of feelings.
Even though you have a lot of feelings,
you're doing your best.
I'm going to the food show again today.
Moto and I are going to have a family dinner.
What?
The goal is...
What?
Our goal is...
to deliver Japanese home-cooked meals to everyone in the world.
Our video is also a family dinner.
We are delivering Japanese home-cooked meals.
Our personality is a family dinner.
So we can't help it.
I'm going to throw up.
You're going to throw up.
Welcome back.
You look stylish.
You bought new clothes.
How was it today?
You're the most important person in the Refinery room.
I thought you were looking at the products.
I'm so proud of you.
I'm going to cry.
I'm sure you're looking forward to it.
I'm going to cry.
I'm going to the last day of the Fancy Food Show.
I'm going to go.
I love you.
Virtual touch.
Okay.
My mom asked me many times yesterday.
She asked me,
Are you doing the products yourself?
Are you working for the manufacturer?
At first, we were really worried about that.
It's very difficult for us to have our own products.
So instead of doing it ourselves under the name of the influencer,
we decided to promote it like a producer.
That was a very good choice.
But we made such a decision.
I don't know if it's right, but we have no choice but to move forward.
We've been doing it for the past three years.
But we're determined to do it.
I'm glad we made such a decision.
When I told the people at Whole Foods how I felt yesterday,
I started to cry.
I was crying with my nose running.
The people at Whole Foods were like,
Oh, my God.
I'm going to put some sesame sauce on it.
Thank you very much.
Wow, so beautiful.
Thank you.
We love staying here.
Thank you.
