Hi there, I'm Jenny Ryan. I'd just like to give my testimony of how God healed me from Parkinson's disease.
I was diagnosed with it about eight years ago. At the time when I was diagnosed I said to the neurologist,
I'm not going to have it, I believe God's going to heal me. And he said, well I believe that might happen too.
So I had already advanced in the condition and had quite a bit of trouble with walking and doing things.
So somebody at the time suggested that I get some hiking poles and walk with those, which I did.
And then I just hung them on a hook and some months later I thought, well I better get those down and start walking, which I did.
And as I walked, I just maybe only walked a kilometre, but I didn't walk with them on the ground, I just walked with them in the air,
just holding them up because I didn't have any swing in my arms and my gait was very pronounced,
as in I wasn't walking properly and standing properly and movements were difficult.
Anyway, so I got these sticks and I started walking and I thought, well as I walk I'm going to declare the word of God
over those parts of my body that are not really functioning well.
So, for instance, my knees were troublesome and I began to declare that He strengthens my feeble knees,
He broadens the path beneath me so that my feet or my ankles don't turn.
And then I went on to say He makes my feet like Heinz feet, He enables me to walk on my high places.
As time went on I increased the distance that I walked and walking up to even 20 kilometres a day,
but generally around 10 or 15 a day now.
So then I went on to declare and personalise the word of God over my body and over my health.
I said, Jesus, You were wounded for my transgressions, You were bruised for my iniquities.
The chastisement that brought me peace was upon You and by Your stripes I was healed.
And I declared, I am healed.
And so as time went on my arms got the swing back in them again and the dexterity came back into my hands
and I was able to do so many things that I couldn't do before.
And as the doctor gave me the, as he said to me that I don't need the medication anymore,
I was on quite a lot of medication including patches and tablets and different things like that.
And he said as you don't need it anymore you can stop taking it,
which I had already started to stop taking it because I didn't feel the need.
And I had a huge bag of medications that I just was able to dispose of.
So I just want to give glory to God because what was impossible for man, God made possible.
And no, it's just been an amazing journey because as I've walked the streets with the poles,
I've had wonderful opportunities to give glory to God when they ask me why I've got the poles
and just tell them how God healed me.
But yes, I just thank God that I'm able to do so many things that I couldn't do before,
including looking after my granddaughter with disabilities and a younger granddaughter from a very young age.
So I'm able to do things that I couldn't do otherwise.
And with Parkinson's disease it never gets better, it just progressively gets worse.
So I can imagine eight years down the track how much different I'd be now.
But I'm just very thankful for what God's done for me and that Jesus,
having paid the price for the sickness that we can get,
we're able to appropriate his word over our bodies and be healed.
Just give glory to God in Jesus' name.
