Escaping the Freezing Cold and Snow of Europe - Croatia Island Life in the Winter

A cold front is coming and we need to get out of here. Two border crossings in one day, from Italy, through Slovenia and into Croatia to the beautiful island of Krk. This is a special stop as Curt gets to meet up with a friend from way back in high school who has lived in the Balkins for over 30 years. Tim is the travel expert for the Balkin Region. We were introduced to new friends, shared delicious authentic home cooked Balkin food and traditional drinks, had some great laughs together and shared almost forgotten tales of our earlier days. Tim gave us an incredible tour of some of the finest stops in Krk including a beautiful sunset view over the Adriatic Sea, followed the next day by an adventurous hike to the best view point on the Island of Krk.
