We cut the bed up!

Can stop leak get an old crappy engine running again? We're going to find out on this Toyota
Tundra here. If you've seen the last video that we've done with this particular Tundra,
we took the bed off of it and put it on the bed of the truck and it didn't it didn't fit right,
right? Let me check underneath here. I know I gotta just plug the lights back in.
So what we're going to do is this truck supposedly runs but it's got a radiator
leak in it. So we're going to throw some stop leak in it and we're going to put this bed onto
this truck, strap it down and then take it back to the owner's house because the owner was like,
look dude I can't be leaving my truck at your house for six months and I was like, well I
appreciate that. So he's coming to get his truck and we're going to see if that stop leak will
actually get this thing up and running and Pepper's going to work with me and we're going to
see if we can get this thing cranked up and get it loaded on trailer. Oh that turbo is going to
sound good in the morning. Yeah. Put down my tailgater. Put a dent in it. Can I hit it first
try? Let's call it right. No, let's go back just a little more. Let's call it right there.
Sure. Six inches. That might be enough. Perfect.
Okay. As soon as Steve gets here, we'll probably need to put the top down battery jumper box on it
and put the stop leak in it. We'll see if this thing fires up. See if it leaks. I think he says
it runs, but it overheats. So that's the reason for the stop leak. We'll see if that actually
helps. We'll probably throw some water in the radiator. I haven't checked that yet,
but we'll check it out and it may be, hopefully it at least runs enough to get it onto the trailer.
If not, we've always got tractors or winches or whatever the case may be to get it onto the
trailer. That's no problem. So, hey, listen, I didn't know I was going to turn into a Toyota
Tundra recovery service, but here we are, right? So nothing to it, but to do it. It is 630 in the
morning because it's supposed to be a hundred degrees today. So I told Steve, I was like,
be over here by eight o'clock, 730, eight o'clock. Let's get it up and get it loaded.
So we're not out here just dehydrate. You know what I mean? So here we go. So Steve showed up.
So what we're going to try to do is see the curvature of the bed here,
but we're going to try to set the bed onto the frame and then take a,
we're going to hack it off is what we're saying. It's just funny to say, but anyway, the bed is,
the bed is toast anyway. We're going to take a cutoff wheel and just see if we can get this
part cut off because that curves and that does not. 2006 to 2005. Yeah. So once we get that put
on maybe, but hopefully, hopefully, you know, these line up and the bolt holes line up and then
it should be the other one did. So maybe this one will too. And then we'll throw the bumper in the
bed. Yeah. You can, you can put that on later. That's right. I'll take care of that one. All
right. Let me get the tractor over here and see if we can't strap this bed on here.
What did the measurements say? 13 inches. All right. Good. Looks like a good number to start
with. Close enough for government work. Yeah. We'll put those in the, I can actually put these
in here if you want. I'll put my bolts over after we get it up for setting up on there.
All right. Let me get some straps. Okay. You didn't think I have water?
No, I didn't. You did, but it's a long way away.
Remember last time we X them. Yeah. This is a different setup here. Yeah. Why not? It looks
a lot better. Let me, let's swap sides here. All right. Thank you, sir.
Good. You got that one? Yeah. Let me do it the other way. Yeah. Okay. I think, uh,
it should be pretty simple. Yeah. We see now that we're, now that we're professionals,
just got to line it up here. That's all. And I got it in really low gear.
I think that's it. Yeah. Yeah. Let me let it pivot down and then we, we just might have to
manhandle it over here. Yeah. But this'll be, yeah, that's the thing I was looking at this,
but it looks like here is maybe just a tiny bit over, but, uh, toward, it needs to come towards
you just a little bit. Yeah. Like that. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Pretty close. I'm going to try to
let it, I'm just going to tilt it down. Then maybe we can just scoot it forward. Okay. If all else
fails, I can get behind it from the tailgate and then lift it this way instead of perpendicular.
Yeah. I don't know what perpendicular means, but I think it means this way. How about 90 degrees?
Oh, we got to go this way. Oh, got to go up. It's sitting on the tire. Okay. Okay.
Let me. Okay. Listen, I'm going to take it up. Yeah. Reposition and come back. Okay.
Yeah. Can you come on this side? So I can't see you for the cab. Okay. Yeah.
Gotcha. If you'll stand on the door by the door there. All right.
Need to pull forward. Hey, what we're going to have to do. Yeah. Try to do it. Yeah. We might,
we can put some blocks under here and set it down on the blocks and then come back and then let me
reposition and then we'll go. Yeah. It's pretty, it's pretty close this way for the bolts. Yeah.
But it's just this part right here. Yeah. Yeah. If we get it forward a little bit more,
I think it'll clear that. It's just probably going to hit here. So you're right. Let me raise it.
Yeah. Let's see here. Well, maybe. Oh, there you go. There you go. So that's, yeah,
that's going to be it right there. I guess. I wonder if that'll come down below it.
Yeah. I wonder. Let me check. That's where it's going. Well, I wonder,
now I wonder if this will be below it. Well, we'll try. Yeah. Always worth a try.
Now we cut it off. I got all the pressures off the straps. Okay.
It's sitting on there. Yeah. See, this is higher. That's what that, but that don't matter.
Yeah. A little bit further down. Oh, it's no more. Can we let it down anymore?
Uh, yeah. It's hard on this. It needs to go. It needs to go forward, son. Okay. All right. Watch
your fingers. Ready? It's hitting on the door. Okay. That's hitting right there. Yeah.
So this is close. So that's it right there. I think that's what's holding it.
Is it hitting the door here? Let me see the other side. Oh, Steve. Yeah. It's got to go over these.
Huh? Over to you. It's got to over this way too. Yeah. Yeah. Over here. It's hitting.
It needs to come this way. So I can see now. So look, this is wider. Yeah. This is wider
and feel this nipple right, right here where my fingers at. That's that dowel that goes into it.
Yeah. So this is definitely wider. I could tell because my bed is not as wide. Yeah. So this is
going to be a little bit wider. So that's why those pieces there are going to. Okay. So you
want to cut these? We're going to have to, I think. And so, you know, it is what it is. Hey,
listen, I'm all about. Yeah. Modifications. I'm all about the modifications there.
So in case you're wondering, your 2005 bed cannot fit on a 2600. Properly. That's right.
Why they changed that a little? Yeah. Why they made that one little change?
Money. And it's wider and a more volume bed. So I think we can manhandle it from here.
So I'm going to back the tractor out. Is that all right? Yes, sir.
I think, yeah, the key is just the bolts lining up. That's really all it is. Is that the hole
there? Look at that. I think it's lined up back here. I'm serious. Look at this. We go down here.
Unless that's something separate. That hole there? It's doggone close, ain't it? It really is.
I mean, if that's. Let's see about this hole here.
Yeah. That's why I don't know. That's the. That one's not. Okay. Yeah. These ain't.
They're probably just a little bit further. Yeah. We can get four of them on that. Yeah.
That'll work. Yeah. I definitely think it has to go forward a little bit more. For sure.
Yeah. But like I say. Yeah. Just cut.
Hey, Toyota. Thank you. Yeah. Don't get it wrong. We can cut that son of a gun now.
Right. We'll put that bad hammer knocker to some body work. Come on.
Shaving a haircut. Two bits. Some of you young kids don't know what we're talking about.
That's right.
Then this will line right up here with a gas cap. Sure.
Not too bad to do it. We need to quit talking about it and be about it. All right. Let me go
get my. You got one? I got one. Okay. And I've got some. See, mine's got to have power. Oh yeah.
Mine's battery. Battery.
I bought a 10 pack of this. Just for special occasions. Just like this. Hey,
if you're interested in these DeWalt things, I'll leave a link in the description below.
We're big fans of DeWalt, obviously. All right. Oh, let me get my safety glasses.
Probably need them. Safety first. Yeah. Safety third.
I like your shirt. You had it too, man. That's a good one. Yeah.
This is funny. I got it. That's the one that got hit on this.
Do you just want to try to cut as straight as possible? You don't care about no...
I don't care anything. Something like that? Yeah. We just make it fit. That's the thing.
Are you going to come back more? I'll tell you what. Why don't we make it
right there? That way, we know it's going to fit.
All right, here we go. I'm going to try it for real this time.
How much fuel's in this thing?
Oh, you want to check? No, I just don't want to be... No, you got a good thought there, bud.
Let me just check and see what he's got in there. Oh, there's no battery.
Let me go get a cloth here.
I'm going to reach down here. Yeah.
Kind of hook it over. Yeah, kind of shield what we can, I guess.
It's over up here.
May we at least give it some kind of hope?
Working good. I mean, it's cutting right through. That's good. Yeah.
There you go.
Don't worry about what it looks like. Well, I'm just... The main thing is get... Yeah. I don't
know how to get all the way through here. I might have to take it off and cut it.
Huh. You know what I mean? Yeah, because of the other side, the thickness of the... Yeah.
Got a hacksaw? That might take a while, too. Yeah, that'd take a while, wouldn't it?
How about a metal, what you call it? A saw? A reciprocating saw. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's
keep it from having to take it off. Yeah, we can do that. Let me cut that other side while we're...
Okay. While we're... While we got this one out. Yeah. I think I've got a metal cutting blade on mine.
I got this side. You know what? I can bend it back, too. Maybe. All right, get in there.
Nope. But we might be able to... So it's, yeah. Yeah, about right here. It's loose on that side, so it's just that one.
Let's see if we can get right here. Okay.
Try not to hit your cab. Yeah. Yeah. Let me bend it some.
If we get it to a point, I can probably keep bending it back and... Yeah. Break it off. Yeah, right.
Oh, I see. There's a little more left. Yeah. I don't know if you can get to that. Let me pull this back.
That one little spot right there. That little spot. All right. Maybe I can get down there. Yeah.
There we go. There we go. All right. Bend this back and tuck it in. Hank Hamilton's bodywork. A little nip and tuck. A little nip and tuck.
Boy, my first three XY's had a lot of that done.
Oh, Lord. All right, let's try this other side. Oh, okay.
You know what I'm thinking? We may have a... We might have to go all the way.
Because that's... Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we might have to. Once we get that off, it'll be easier to get to.
Hold it. Make room for it now.
There you go.
Wasn't horrible. Yeah.
Look at that. Man, we should be in the bodywork business some more.
Precision. We put that bad hammer knocker on with no problem.
So now we can push that out and do that side. I think you've got enough room there. Yeah.
Is it? Yeah. Oh, wow. Yeah, it's pretty tough work there.
All right. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. That's going to be... I'll send you that little piece. Got a lot of
spark on that one. It didn't have a face, but it had a spark. There you go. Okay, so now we should
be able to... That should just go right up against it. Yeah, I think we should be able to lift that
up. Yeah. Just a little bit wider, so... Just a little bit. But the hole should work because...
Well, let's hope so. They worked on ours. Yeah. Sure. We swatched it, swapped it over.
Oh, let me get your coat out of here. Yeah, that'd probably be good. I want to get that.
Hang on to me. Get it loosed out of here. Just chunk it on the ground. Okay, there we go.
So we're going to lift up and over? Yeah. Is that the plan? I think so.
Oh, man. Now, if these line up with me... I'm looking at those. I'm trying to find those.
How much over are you over there from the edge of that to the
surface? About a half inch or three quarters. Yeah, same, same. Okay, so we'll just... But didn't
we need to... Get those... Oh, let me get under there and find those things. Actually, I can see
the... You can? The little nipple thing? No, I can't. I'm just kidding. All right. Well, here.
Let me get my long-sleeve shirt so I can crawl under there. I don't need it. I can just crawl
under there. Everybody's giving us a hard time for working in the dirt in the last video. Oh,
really? Yeah. Well, sorry. That's where you parked it. I could have moved it. Okay, let's see.
How about we try out one of the bolts? Right there. Is it that one? And that one. Okay,
so how about we put at least one in to use it like a pivot? What do I do with it? There's two
right there. Oh, they're here. Okay. I shouldn't have left them in the way. I've got some good
ones. You got some clean ones? Huh? You got some clean ones? Yeah, I got some clean ones. Let me
get them out of the truck. Let's try them. I don't know if these line up. Oh, okay. This one's just a
little bit off. Oh, it might. Yeah. This one just needs... It's just a little ball. It's just a little
squeaky. This one's started. This one don't line up. Really? And this one needs to come that way.
Okay. So kick it. Here, let me throw these in there.
I'll give you these. Put these in here. That's probably too much.
Yeah, that's... That might be it right there. Let me get up. Oh, you're going to get up?
Try it. Okay, it comes to... See if it can come toward you. Just a little bit. Ready? I'm on
jump. Ready? All right. All right. All right, here we go. One, two, three. That might have been it
right there. It's too much. Too much? Yeah, and these come back toward this way a quarter inch. Ready?
Oh, man. I'm talking about an eighth of an inch. Ready? One. One more time.
That's got to be it. That might be a little too much. Yeah, I know. That's a little too much. All right, ready?
That we might be able to... Just start it and kind of shift it. Yeah. All right, let's see.
Yep. Yep, that one's in there.
Yeah, there you go. Four will hold it going down the road. Yeah. For sure. Oh, yeah. Did that one
start too? Yeah. You got one more? Oh, there you go. Now, those aren't... Those aren't... Yeah, I had six.
Where'd it go? That's funny. I had six. All right, let me go get my T55 bit. Okay. I'll be honest with
you, Steve. I didn't think that was going to work. Well, I thought since the other six lined up after
we took the other one off, moved it. Yeah. We got six on there. What's that? Yeah, we got six on there.
We do? Yeah. My T55 bit is in the toolbox in the shed. Uh-oh.
Let me run get it. Yeah. Here, let me get my water. I got to drink water. Oh, I did too, dude.
And I pee all day, but I got to. I swear, I woke up yesterday with it, and I drank, drank, drank,
and then my blood pressure was 180 over 88. It's horrible. That's high. It's terrible. Yeah.
So, I took an extra blood pressure medicine and started drinking and
hydrating. Crazy how quick it happened.
Okey-dokey. Yep. She's secured.
Did it work? You want to put some of this stop leak in there, Steve?
Uh, yeah. See what it says. I think it says put that in first and then fill it up with water.
Seals larger coolant leaks. Multipurpose pour-and-go sealant. One step. Bars, leaks. Liquid
copper. Instructions. Allow engine to cool. Cool enough to take radiator cap off. Shake well.
Directly into the radiator. Is it a four or six cylinder? You know what? I'll have to find out. I
don't even know. Six. We'll use the whole bottle. Yeah. Fill the radiator. Turn the heater on hot
and fan on high. Let it idle for 15 minutes. All right. When do you put the water in?
Well, we're going to... After we pour that in? Yeah. Pour it. Fill. So, you're going to turn
this on. I mean, you're going to pour this in first. Okay. Then fill the radiator and
overflow tank to proper levels. Okay. And reinstall radiator cap start engine. Okay.
So, we're going to pour it directly into the radiator. All right. Don't forget you've got a
tape in here. Yeah. Shake well. I don't need it now. I'm going to put it back.
Okay. Man, it's already getting humid, ain't it? You have to avoid this cloud cover.
Makes it better, don't it? Makes it gooder, don't it? All right. I need just a real small funnel,
but we're going to send this anyway. We're going to use the whole bottle. It says
use half or four cylinders, so we're going to use the full thing. I should title this video
is bars leak block seal a gimmick or does it work? Okay. So, fill it up with water now.
And then even into the overflow.
The good thing about it, Steve, is the... I hear that.
Oh, is it leaking? Yeah. I knew that. All right. There's the problem.
There's your problem, lady. Yeah. It's coming out the bottom of the radiator. The bottom of
the radiator. Okay. So, it needs a new radiator. It does need a new radiator. Okay. Well, that's
easy fix though. Yeah. I checked on it yesterday. I have them at AutoZone. It's a six. She had a
six in stock actually. Yeah. So, yeah. You're... Okay. Well, it was definitely pouring out the
radiator. Basically... But it won't overheat getting it onto the trailer. No. No. We're fine.
Or if it does, you know, you can always buy a new radiator and a head gasket.
That's right. See, that's the concern. I'm not sure that the head gasket's not... Yeah.
Okay. I can shut this. I don't need to put any more in it. Oh, so much for the bars leak.
Yeah. Oh, you want to make sure it cranks? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Let me pull these ramps out.
There's no battery in it. There's no battery in it? No. I got to move my battery from my truck.
I got a battery in this shed. All right. Just to get it up on the truck.
Going back to our roots with this. Yeah. Just lay that over there. It'd be all right.
Just lower it down. I'll need to hook it. I wouldn't latch it. No. I'm not going to.
Well, it's not latched. No. It'd be all right. All right. Let's turn her up. Drive her on, boss.
Oh, you're right. I was going to put the bolts in it.
Lost his bumper. That's all right. Yeah. That's fine. Let me put it in the
bed. Yeah. We'll throw it in the bed. I'll do that later.
Gee, I wasn't sure I was going to make it up there. Yeah. I had to scamper out of the way there. No.
It is in park, ain't it? Yeah. And I got the emergency brake on.
Oh, and you put the parking brake on? Yeah. All right. Good.
I didn't know you was a daredevil, Steve. Well, it's all about the pedal.
It's all about the views, ain't it? Yeah. And this camera cut off right when you come up the...
I said I did. Let me make sure. Yeah, I did. In park. In park and emergency brake.
All right. Let's tie her down and get out of here.
Okay. All we got to do is get this bad hammer knocker tied down and get her taken to Steve's
Watch me.
Get my vice grips and my coat and we're out of here.
Did the trick, didn't it? It did. All right.
All right. Hey, listen. Steve, good job, buddy. Steve is a great friend of ours and we just love
doing life with him, you know what I mean? Yes, sir. Absolutely. You guys take care.
God bless you guys.
