Hey guys, what is up? It's Tess. Welcome back to my channel.
So today I'm sharing with you guys every single thing that I'm packing for my next adventure.
And this isn't just a theoretical what I usually pack for trips.
This is literally every single thing that I'm packing for my next trip.
And I wanted to wait to tell you guys where I'm going because I feel like that's always more fun.
But I feel like this video isn't really helpful unless I tell you where I'm going.
So in a week from today, I'm headed back to Southeast Asia and I'm so excited.
I'm going to be going to a bunch of different countries
and I'm planning on staying there for a few months.
So yeah, that definitely made the packing process a little bit harder
because I really had to prioritize and think about what I actually needed.
And I'm also going to be taking a backpack.
Not necessarily doing the typical backpacking thing.
I'll probably end up staying in a couple hostels along the way.
But yeah, if you're like a true backpacker and you're wondering why I don't have like a knife
and a first aid kit and a flashlight and all that stuff.
Well, actually the person I'm traveling with has all that stuff.
So we're fine.
But I'm also not going to be like really roughing it the whole time.
Anyways, I hope this video was helpful.
If you guys have any questions about anything, about what I'm packing.
I feel like I'm going to try to run through it pretty quickly
or else this video is going to get pretty boring.
So yeah, feel free to comment down below and we can chat.
But yeah, let's go ahead and get on into this video.
Okay, so we're just going to jump right into clothes.
And starting with bottoms, I live in denim shorts.
So I'm bringing a couple of my favorites.
Two lower rise and one high waisted.
And then also a denim skirt, lots of denim.
And then some cargo shorts, which I know I will live in.
And then just some crochet shorts to mix it up.
I'm also bringing one pair of jeans mainly to wear whenever I'm on a motorcycle to protect my legs.
But also if it ever gets chilly, they'll come in handy.
Then just three basic tank tops, super essential.
And then I'm also bringing some easy to wear crop tops.
And a couple of cuter tops like this strapless body suit and this tie front crop top.
And then just some basic tees.
I'm also bringing one long sleeve shirt in case it ever gets chilly.
And then also a few blouses,
which you guys probably recognize if you watched my last vacation clothing haul.
But yeah, now because I need to maximize space in my backpack,
I'm using packing cubes to keep everything organized.
And I'm definitely not the best at organization in general.
So I'm sure there are better ways of doing this.
But I'm pretty much just rolling everything up
and fitting as much as I can without overstuffing it.
And as you can see, I just save some pieces for the next cube.
But most things fit in there.
And now we are ready to move on to the next set of things.
So next up, I'm packing some dresses and rompers.
So first, I'm taking these denim overalls.
And these are my absolute favorite.
And then I'm also bringing this strapless jumpsuit.
This is just super comfortable and versatile.
And then I just have a few other simple and easy to wear pieces that I can throw on whenever.
And that is pretty much it for the actual clothes that I'm bringing.
And then I just have a few workout clothes.
So I'm bringing one pair of just plain black leggings.
And I'll also probably wear another pair of yoga pants on the plane.
And then I'm also bringing one pair of workout shorts and a workout shirt.
And then I'm bringing three sports bras.
So yeah, this is pretty much it for all of the clothes that I'm bringing.
And then like before, I'm just going to add this all into a packing cube
and add the clothes that didn't make it in the last packing cube.
Okay, so moving on to arguably the most important category, swimsuits.
Very important.
I'm definitely packing way more suits than I actually need.
But these are pretty much what I'm going to be living in every single day.
And luckily, they don't take up too much room.
So I think I'm bringing 11 different bikinis,
including a one-piece and some more sturdy suits for surfing and stuff like that.
And then I'm also bringing some cover-ups.
So I have this lace kimono.
And then I'm bringing this super simple black romper.
And I also have a sarong.
And this is actually from Thailand.
But I lived in it the last time I was in Southeast Asia.
And then lastly, a towel for when one might not be accessible.
And again, I'm packing all this stuff up into another packing cube.
And then we can move on into the final items.
So next up, of course, we need some underwear,
bras, and socks.
And I'm going to be bringing it more than I'm showing right now.
I'm just currently doing laundry.
But then I'm going to be bringing my favorite belt,
a few pieces of jewelry,
just a few necklaces and earrings,
and then a cross-body bag,
some sunglasses,
and then a few other essentials like my hairbrush,
razor,
moisturizer,
some hair ties and hair things,
a nail file,
tweezers,
and then just a very minimal amount of makeup.
Just the essentials.
And then I'm taking my Glossier bubble pouch.
So, so useful.
And I'm going to put my makeup and all the cosmetic stuff in there.
And then I'm going to pack up my sunglasses and my jewelry
and put it in the cross-body bag just to save some space.
And then we're going to put this in the final packing cube.
And this looks kind of empty,
but once I fill it with the rest of the socks and everything,
it will be nice and full.
So last few things I'm packing are, of course, shoes.
So I'm bringing my trusty Birkenstocks,
which I'll probably wear on the plane.
Sneakers and some nicer sandals.
And then I'm also bringing a very comfortable sweatshirt
and a waterproof windbreaker
so that I can have some layers.
And also, again, for when I'm on the motorcycle
and just whenever it rains.
So here is the backpack I'm bringing.
And it's actually pretty small for the amount of time I'm planning on going,
but it's a 55 liter backpack.
I'll link it down below.
And I honestly don't think I would be able to comfortably
carry anything bigger than this.
And everything I just showed you fits perfectly inside.
So that is everything I'm bringing in my backpack,
but I do have quite a few more things I'm bringing in my carry-on.
So I'm just going to run through that really quickly.
First, I have this little vegan leather travel pouch,
which I'm going to use to store my phone,
my passport,
my headphones,
a pen,
and then obviously I'm bringing my wallet.
So this is the first set of things that I'm bringing in my carry-on.
These are like my main essentials.
I'll also put my ticket in the little pouch.
And then I'm bringing some cosmetic essentials.
So I have a toothbrush and toothpaste,
and a sleeping mask,
and some earplugs,
some Advil,
and some deodorant.
And sometimes some airlines will give you a little set like this
if you're going on a long-haul flight,
but I always like to bring my own just in case.
And now we are moving into the last and final part of this video,
the technology I'm bringing.
So I have my MacBook,
my journal,
doesn't really count as technology,
my external hard drive,
power bank,
a whole bunch of chargers,
an international charging adapters,
my Canon G7X Mark II vlogging camera,
along with more chargers,
my camera case,
extra batteries,
a bunch of SD cards,
an SD card adapter,
my GoPro,
all of its accessories,
my Joby tripod,
and my brand new camera,
the Lumix GH5,
which I'm currently filming with,
so I'm showing you the box.
And then I have a 12 to 35 millimeter lens,
the chargers and batteries to go along with it,
and lastly,
my Mavic Pro,
its remote control,
and an extra battery.
Wow, that was a lot of things,
but we're not done yet,
because I'm just going to show you guys
what I'm actually using as a carry-on.
So I have this really awesome backpack,
it's a Mindshift backpack,
and it's made specifically for camera people,
because as you'll see in a second,
there is this sneaky little camera bag built into the bottom of the backpack,
which is so useful because you can actually take it out and use it separately.
So this is going to be such a game changer while I'm traveling.
I'm so excited to use it.
Shout out to my brother for getting this for me for Christmas.
And yeah,
and that is every single thing that I'm packing on my trip.
So thank you guys so much for watching,
and if you haven't already,
definitely subscribe,
because I have some super fun videos coming soon.
There will probably be one video in between this video and my next travel video,
but after that,
I will see you guys in the Philippines.
So I'm so excited,
and I will see you guys later.
Bye!
