Billie Eilish interview: where it all began

Home is Los Angeles, Highland Park. It all started when I was, I mean, I've always been a singer, so it never really had a start point. It just was always part of me. But I started writing music around 11, and then I started working with my brother at like the beginning of 2015, and then we just wrote everything together. Music has been part of me forever. I don't know what I would do without it, like, that's pretty cliche, but it's literally like I would just die without music. If there's one thing I've learned, it's probably just that a lot of people who've been in this business or whatever for a long time usually have a lot of knowledge about stuff, so maybe listen to them sometimes, but the rest of people, like, don't. Like, it's all up to you. If I'm not in the studio or on stage, I'm usually designing my own clothes. I like love fashion, so that's like a huge part of stuff I do. I've never been to school, ever. I wish everybody had their own way of expression, because I have music and I have a lot of things, actually, that really are important to me, and music especially is my way of expressing myself and just everything that I do, and I feel like a lot of people go through the same things I do, but don't have a way of getting it out, which I think is stressful, so I wish everyone had their own way of expressing themselves.
