Korean War Impression, December 1950

How's it going guys? Bloody Vintage here. Merry Christmas again. I decided to go with a bit more of a Korean War 1950 or even 1951 Christmas outfit. So when I say that I don't mean necessarily Christmas, but December 1950 So basically what you'd end up seeing a lot if you can get my full Sure This is kind of more casual behind the lines not wearing any web gear Right now, but basically what I have is an example of what you might have early in Korea So we're gonna have obviously our m1 rifle Leather slings were still quite common, especially early on even though web slings did come out in 44 45 Again, you might notice I have a reversible parka here. Now. This is World War two issue It's got the the waist clip and it's the extra long one as well so This was technically issued in 1942 or I should say it's sort of a 1942 pattern Ski jacket, so you notice a lot of ski equipment and warm ski gear being used early on in Korea Again, I got my kind of m1949 Wool mittens that would go in the leather Cold-weather glove as well as I don't I'm here right now, but you might see some ski gloves as well Here I have my hood up, but some of you might have also obviously opted for the m43 hood the m43 pile cap Or even the m43 field cap perhaps and then of course if it's got sort of an OD scarf underneath And that's pretty much it the other things of the m43 trousers So again, World War two vintage, but really how to know would be used early on in Korea and Your shoe packs. These are actually 1950 dated even though they were introduced in in 44 So this is kind of the typical just behind the lines Look, you might have During the Korean War without getting too complicated.
