Kepatihan Complex Yogyakarta

Jika keraton menjadi tempat tinggal raja beserta keluarga, Kepatihan adalah kediaman patih Kasultanan Yogyakarta. Bangunan ini berfungsi sebagai tempat tinggal Pepatih Dalem dari tahun 1755 hingga 1945 sebelum jabatan patih dihapuskan oleh Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. Saat ini, tempat tersebut menjadi kompleks kantor Gubernur Yogyakarta.

Menurut Kraton Yogyakarta dalam laman resminya, jabatan patih muncul setelah Perjanjian Giyanti ditandatangani pada tahun 1755. Sebelum ditetapkan sebagai raja, Sultan mesti menandatangani kontrak yang salah satu isinya mengatur soal keberadaan patih.

Jabatan ini memiliki dua tugas, yakni membantu Sultan dan menjadi penghubung dengan pihak Belanda. Setelah kontrak ditandatangani, beberapa orang pernah memangku jabatan patih atau Pepatih Dalem yang selevel dengan perdana menteri.

If the palace is the residence of the king and his family, Kepatihan is the residence of the patih of the Yogyakarta Sultanate. This building functioned as the residence of the Pepatih Dalem from 1755 to 1945 before the position of patih was abolished by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. Currently, the place is the office complex of the Governor of Yogyakarta.

According to the Yogyakarta Palace on its official website, the position of patih emerged after the Giyanti Agreement was signed in 1755. Before being appointed as king, the Sultan had to sign a contract, one of the contents of which regulated the existence of the patih.

This position had two duties, namely assisting the Sultan and being a liaison with the Dutch. After the contract was signed, several people had held the position of patih or Pepatih Dalem which was on the same level as the prime minister.
