Tie game, top of the ninth inning, go-ahead run is on second, Altuve's up.
This breakdown is brought to you by Talkin' Baseball, YouTube channel.
We cover baseball in many different ways.
I have a show on there every Tuesday.
We recap every series.
We like baseball.
If you like baseball, check out Talkin' Baseball, especially for the post-season push because
it's like every day doing recaps and previews and all of that, so check it out.
But here's Altuve.
This happened to him earlier.
I did a breakdown, same exact thing.
This one's funnier.
First pitch, 100 miles per hour, in the zone, doesn't get the call.
Okay, now the 1-0, we're going to go 99 miles per hour, more turbo, like sync on that one.
Strike one.
All right, one and one pitch.
Here it comes, and we got, ooh, 100 to Manny at third.
He throws it, and the umpire says, uh, kind of nothing, didn't really make the call.
Maybe he makes it after they move the camera off him because he's looking around like,
what?
And Altuve's saying, you gotta be kidding me.
What?
It hit me in the foot, guys.
Figure it out, man.
He's, no, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no, I didn't hit you in the foot.
Well, let's see.
Did it hit him in the foot?
Um, okay, yeah, maybe.
Can't really tell there.
Let's zoom in a little bit, slow it down.
Um, yeah, that looked like it.
That looked like it got him in the toe.
Let's zoom in, slow it down even more.
toe.
I think that got him.
Usually, you hear it.
Here's both sides, and bam, and what these sides show, why I include them, is the agony.
I don't think he can fake that right away, dropping the bat and making that face.
Ugh, I don't know, that feels like real pain.
Not that you can use that in a review, but I think you should.
I think he's in pain.
Now, manager comes out, and he's like, hey, come on, guys, come on.
Why don't you just check?
Can you check it?
Oh, none of them had foul ball.
If they did, they would call it.
God damn, man, nobody had as a foul ball.
Oh, Altuve says, well, what do you, what do you think about this?
Takes his, takes his shoes off, takes his socks off, goes a little Mighty Ducks three
on him, they're stripping in the penalty box.
It's taking a dance class, Tom.
Good movie, if you get that reference.
Steps on his shoe, that's nice.
Sometimes when you change in like a gross locker room, this is a move you pull, because
you don't want to put your foot on the gross ground, take your sock off, step back on your
shoe.
I think it was an accident by Altuve, but sometimes that's a move you do pull.
You guys have done it, you've done it.
And then he wobbles over, he wobbles over, and he says, hey, Blue, if it didn't hit me,
how come my toe looks like that, huh?
You see that right there?
My toe, it's a little, is it like bruised?
I don't even know, we can't really see it, but I guess there's a mark there.
And says, hey, you're out of here.
I don't want to see that.
You're gone.
And why is he, why is he gone?
You know?
Remember the shoe polish play?
If you've got evidence, use it.
We might have a shoe polish play here.
Remember the Nippy Jones shoe polish play in the 1957 World Series at Milwaukee?
Remember the Nippy Jones shoe polish play in the 1957 World Series in Milwaukee?
Another shoe polish play, come on.
If you've got a bruise, show them, why is it an automatic ejection?
I kind of get why it's an automatic ejection, because umpires don't want to get showed up.
But like, if you've got evidence, like everyone should love good evidence, good solid evidence
should never be dismissed like that.
That's not cool.
Ah ha ha, this guy's laughing, ah ha ha, in his face.
This woman's laughing, ah, everyone's having a good time at the ballpark because he took
off his shoes.
Shoeless Jose Altuve.
Thank you for watching, appreciate it.
Like I said, if you're into the postseason, you're watching baseball, check out Talking
Baseball.
