In Hebrew, the lamp symbolizes life and prosperity. We may face weakness and stumble, but we know where our strength comes from. So, do not fear the darkness, for God's lamp will illuminate our lives.
Nothing in this world, whether a person or a thing, can free you from darkness, for nothing is perfect except God. If we seek hope and refuge in imperfection, we will naturally be disappointed. But only in the perfect and almighty Lord can we find true perfection. For it is God who created the heavens and the earth, and all things were made through Him. When God said, "Let there be light," there was light. Therefore, if God does not permit it, not even a sparrow will fall to the ground. If you are willing to follow the Lord and receive His light, darkness will not overtake you.
You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
