Wilson for the tone setter earlier for Birdie on the second. What a day he had.
Birdie's his first two holes en route to an 8-under 64 tie in the low round of the week so far.
Keziah a couple pars and then on the third for Birdie and the run beginning for Keziah to 14-under.
Keziah's putter hot out of the gates. Birdie on three and another one on the fourth back to back
so he's at 15-under at that time. How about the defending champ Sahith Thagala. Birdie the fifth
and then the very next hole is approach to the par 4-6. How good is that? Back to back
Birdies for Sahith Thagala and he is within striking distance. Fishburn trying to take the
lid off this for Birdie. Good tee shot here at this par 3 and does get the lid off. J.J. Spahn
he's playing with got in there to see the line as well. Just a little wedge in our tracer technology
brought to you by Trackman. Will it use the slope to come back? Oh it does. Yeah that's why this hole
is playing so easy today. Third easiest hole in the golf course. Those guys are using that backstop.
He should move a little to his left once on the green. He's thinking about holing it. There you go.
Good call Rog. Get out of here. Keziah miraculously with a par on the seventh.
Jump to the 12th par 5. Justin Lauer 257 in for a second. Big bunker in the front right of this
green. There's a little opening on the left. Let's see if he could fit it in there. He sure does. What
a shot this is from that far back with the fairway wood. Look at how good this shot. Just getting
better and better for Lauer. Tap in range for Eagle. So third at 14 under par thanks to this.
He flew it in there. Clanked off the flag stick and went right down in the hole.
Unbelievable. You gotta watch this a second time. On a down slope. 64 to extend his made
cut streak to 30. Now at 10 under par. The big slopey green here. There's just almost
no way to keep it underneath the hole. Oh this is going to be good here. Just gently back down
the slope. Great sand wedge. Great distance control. Now his heart's pumping. Yeah he may
have spoke too soon. It'll be a three-putt bogey for Keziah. Keziah a co-leader with Lipski as
they're going to make their way to the par 311th. Look it's on a good line. The right number
it is but that's that knob kind of in front. Takes a big first bounce and you can't do much better
than that right now. Especially with some of that wind helping from behind. It's really tough to
stop it near the hole. He's going to be down in that low area. That'll be a little uphiller from there.
How about that answer from Keziah? Bogey on 10. Three putts. Birdie's the very next hole. He's 16
under once again. Action. Saddle. Saddle. Stay. Grayson Sig at 16. Tied with Tagala at 12 under.
Boy in the fairway and a nice angle here to this hole location. Over there on the right hand side.
So Sig coming off that birdie at 15. He's got it right underneath the hole. Sahith Tagala 13th
for birdie. Just continues to put the eyes out of it here on these poanta greens at Silverado. 17
and Corey Connors. Steep angle of attack and a pretty good result. Connors just past the pin
and looking at about eight feet for birdie. Circling to 17 again. Corey Connors
rolls it in. Made that hole look easy. Great tee shot. He was able to get it up on top that
that tear in the back where the hole is and then just pours it right in.
Finishing touches on his round. He's always been such a confident putter. A couple wins
on the resume. Aiming right at the flag too, which is good. It should pull hook out of there.
He played that beautifully actually. That's pretty good. I mean with any kind of decent
line that bunker, these guys are looking at that like that's not a problem. On the 18th,
Lauer's third. In a tough position over there in the primary cut of rough. No green to work with.
Had to play safe. Lauer birdie putt across the 18th green. Will it stretch? Wow. How about that
up and down? Give that one a 10. Going at the center of that bunker right at the middle of the green.
Oh that again was about where Fishburn's ball went in. Almost the same trajectory. This is
going to be interesting to see. I would call that well handled. Yeah, I'd say he handled it with
ease. He just nicely played. Sure did. That's two really good bunker shots in a row at 15 and 16.
Another great up and down right there. Fishburn, par saver. Can't connect. Lipsky birdie putt on the
17th. Need something to go right. Oh from distance. That was the roar just a moment ago. He jumps up
to 14 under. Tied with Fishburn at second. Keziah. Boy it's on a great line but needs to get up some.
Did it get up on top? Is it going to stay? It does. It is. Great shot. Full eight iron.
He might straighten up some there. Batches him. He's got to trust what you've been working on
and just let it go. Yeah he's putted the ball really really well the entire week. Just some
swing mistakes down the stretch. That's a tough finish Kurt. Yeah sure is. So the same
final group that we had on Saturday. Let's run it back for Sunday. It'll be Keziah and Lipsky
going head to head. And then how about the Canadians we got? Cory Connors, Mackenzie Hughes
at 13 under. They're within five. Still got a chance. Thanks for watching the PGA TOUR on
YouTube. Watch another video right here.
