Manifesting life goals is easy as 1, 2, 3.
But making it happen is as difficult as flying in the sky and the crazy part.
It's easy to dream but difficult to make and especially to maintain.
Did you know that at the age of 6, I already knew what I wanted in life?
To become like my mom who is working in the hospital.
I want to help others in pain and in need.
Did you know that from the beginning of my teenage years,
I have already figured out what pathway I want in life?
To become a medical technologist.
And did you know that when I became an adult, I wanted to live life and live away from home?
Ever since then, I have been decisive with everything and very straightforward in life.
And this one thing has already kept me going with life.
But sometimes we need to adjust life.
And that's why instead of becoming a medical technologist and work in the hospital,
I lived away from home.
I work two jobs as a research technician and a caregiver.
And I'm so happy about it.
And this week is finally the week that I'm going to show you
how I managed working two jobs in Canada plus YouTube.
I should keep going, right?
Happy Tuesday and welcome back to another episode of Life in Canada series.
So today is Tuesday and a very productive one.
More productive than yesterday.
But at least very productive than last week.
I'm quite not sure if I'm tired or not.
But I have been really busy with work.
The two jobs that I have, I'm like usually on Monday and Tuesdays, I work day and night.
Then on Wednesday, just in the morning.
And so yeah, I've been trying to keep up with work, trying to focus.
And currently, we are going, we're cooking for dinner
because we're probably going to have an early dinner.
And then afterwards, we are picking up Arlen's order of milk tea.
It's served.
Time check.
It is already 8.13 p.m. and I'm off to work.
I just wear all black, like black sweater and black pants.
But I have some scrubs inside because we still need to wear scrubs as a personal caregiver.
Time check.
It's already 10 p.m. and I'm now going to sleep because I've already finished taking her to her bed.
And so I look so stressed right now.
But I brought my laptop.
So I might probably edit some stuff and wake up at 4 a.m.
This is my lunch.
Egg with mayonnaise and the yogurt.
Hello, everyone.
Happy Thursday.
It's already Thursday.
It's a happy day for me.
I'm also cooking Korean sweet chili chicken, which I've been craving for it since yesterday.
And I'm currently eating Doritos.
I have work again tonight.
Last night, I don't have any work.
I was sleeping the whole night, which was amazing.
I think actually, I woke up like 10 p.m.
We had dinner when Arlen arrived.
And afterwards, I think I fell asleep 2 a.m.
and just wake up like normal routine, which I had this morning.
Good morning.
It's Friday.
It's the last work week day of the week.
But still tomorrow, I do have work.
Arlen has work during the weekends.
I'm having Tim Hortons because it's too late for us to like cook something or whatever.
And it is currently 7.41 a.m.
Let's have some Tim Hortons and keep the day going.
We are currently at Costco.
We're waiting for the line because we're heading to Toronto.
And the sun is just shining in my face right now.
Hello, everyone.
Happy, happy Saturday.
Let me have my Coke first.
Anyways, so happy Saturday, everyone.
And today is the last day of August.
It's currently 11.52 a.m.
And we just finished our breakfast.
Anyways, yesterday was kind of like...
I felt like I need to like explain to you guys where was I yesterday.
So yesterday, I was like just working.
I was so tired because I do have a shift last Thursday night,
which I was expecting already that I could sleep.
But then something happened to my client.
He kept coughing and coughing and coughing and I couldn't sleep.
And he's been like that for since the day before my shift.
Because you already know that I have work Monday and Tuesday night.
And a separate work Monday and Tuesday morning.
Morning or whole day.
So it was practically pretty good.
Like Monday night, Tuesday night and early morning Wednesday.
But then when I went there Thursday night,
the other caregiver just told me,
oh, he's been having a hard time like, you know,
like breathing especially at night.
Like he has like congestion or whatever.
I don't know, like medical term something.
And so I was like worried about myself because probably I won't be able to sleep.
And yes, I was not able to sleep.
I did probably like 15 minutes and then wake up.
And then another 15 minutes something like that.
Which is so hard for me because I have work and like Friday morning up until 3 p.m.
And then afterwards, we went to Lakefield.
And Lakefield, Arlen had pretty good job with his interview.
And he passed and something like that.
And he's got the job just two days after he applied.
Which we were very, very grateful.
And afterwards, we head back home.
We had to just a little bit, you know, just a little bit dress up.
Because we went to Toronto to like catch up with my aunts and uncles and everyone there.
Like from people from Alberta.
And something like that, which we had pretty good time.
We were actually late because it was like really, really very traffic.
And you know, and afterwards, we head home very, very tired.
And this morning, Arlen went to his work.
I practically cancelled my work today.
Because I feel like it will be very difficult for both of us.
That is why we're planning to get a new car.
But not, not like tomorrow we're buying it.
But we still have to like think about it.
And we've been thinking maybe early next year we're going to buy it.
Because it's been working.
His hours and my hours were kind of like not coincide.
Or like not go together.
So we practically were thinking instead of one person going to give a ride.
Going to fetch the other one.
And then give a ride again.
And going to fetch another one.
So we're thinking of just really get two cars.
One for me, one for him.
So that our time management will be really easy for both of us.
Because it will be very difficult.
Like he has work at 9 a.m. which is good.
Because my work is at 8 a.m.
But then at 5 p.m. I have to wait for him.
Because my work is up until 4.30.
Sometimes 5.
But I have to wait for him for like 15 minutes or 20 minutes.
Because he has to like.
The distance between his work and mine is like 20 minutes.
And he has to go hurry and go to fetch me.
And something like that.
And I was like worried about it.
Because it's just not practical to think.
And yes it will be a little bit more expensive.
But at least our time management.
Our resting times will be just as clearly as day.
And yeah.
So that's what happened yesterday.
Oh that's what happened today.
He went to his new job.
Which I'm so happy about.
And they were very welcoming.
And I love the place.
Really.
It was the city or the township is Lakefield.
Which is just 20 minute ride from here to there.
Which I really really love.
Like everyone is very friendly.
It's very peaceful.
I don't know about winter.
Like winter time.
But during the summer time it's just so different.
And there are like houses you can see.
And they were from the lakefront.
Which is so amazing.
But because this title is all about the reality of working two jobs here in Canada.
I'm going to explain myself.
So anyways these past few days I have been working for not fun anymore.
I have been working Monday.
Monday night.
Monday morning.
Monday night.
Tuesday morning.
Tuesday night.
Wednesday morning.
Rest at Wednesday night.
Thursday morning.
Thursday night.
Friday morning.
No work at Friday night.
Because we went to Toronto.
Is it difficult?
I must say it's not difficult at all.
As long as you had a good sleep.
And it really depends on your employer.
Because it really depends on your workload.
My workload is risky at night.
That is a given because people sleep at night.
That's true.
But then I am able to sleep at my work time during night time.
That is because we have like a sensor.
Like if the lady would like move.
There was a sensor.
If the guy would like do some noises.
I can hear it.
There's like a baby monitor.
Which is practically risky if you go into a deep sleep.
But if you're a person that is light.
How's that?
Cold.
Um like if you're a person who's like very very like easy to wake up.
Then you'll be good to go.
I mean I've been sleeping my whole like shift.
Not really whole shift.
I do have like time.
Like for example.
Like for example I have shift at 9 p.m to 7 a.m the next morning.
9 p.m when I arrive there.
We totally will be like making the clients be very comfortable.
With how they are in bed.
With all the things that they need before they go to sleep.
And then afterwards when they were sleeping.
When they were in their bedroom.
They're good to go.
Like you do whatever you want to do.
Like do the laundry.
Do the dishes.
But it's not that you're doing the laundry like by hand.
You're just putting it in a laundry washer in the dryer.
And then that's it.
And then also you're going to like just put the dishes on.
And then you're gonna put it away.
And that's it.
That's just my workload for my night time.
Which I feel like I'm good to go in the morning.
Not until like first day that I couldn't even sleep.
So that's one of a heck of a problem.
So but good thing every Friday I only have work like 8 a.m to 3 p.m.
Like I love doing.
I love my job.
Like really I love my job.
So was it really hard for me to like do two jobs here in Canada?
No.
And of course it depends on your workload.
Because workload is just different if you're working in a construction worker.
Or in a factory job at night.
And you have another work in the morning.
Which is exhausting.
But in my part no it's not really.
To be honest being a caregiver is something that I'm I'm very proud of.
I'm not ashamed of like telling everyone that I'm a caregiver.
Like a part-time caregiver.
Sometimes full-time.
Depends on my schedule.
And at the same time I am so so proud of like working working part-time at that job.
At the same time having me as a chemical research technician.
I'm so so happy with it.
Like some people might not be proud of it.
Because coming from Philippines.
I'm a medical technologist.
And then I came here.
And then I was just like downgrading myself.
No.
I'm not downgrading myself.
And the works or the jobs that I had.
They're just absolutely very very comfortable for me.
And I'm so happy because I have the freedom.
I have all the time that I wanted to have.
And you know and they pay me.
Yeah some people will say like oh you only have that per hour.
Yeah because I don't do a lot of stuff.
And I don't like doing so much work.
Like so much responsibilities.
That's why I'm just okay with that kind of rate.
And I do have another job.
So which is practically very chill.
So it doesn't really matter for me as long as like I'm happy.
And that is just the most important thing for me right now.
Like being happy and being contented with what I have.
And you know I don't really like invest mostly in material things.
I I love material things.
I'm a materialistic person.
But ever since I came here I was just very very grateful with what I have.
Like a poem.
Like a like you're very excited about like every day with what you do.
And anyway so that's an explanation if it's really really difficult.
Or if it's like you know it's just very difficult to deal with two jobs here in Canada.
For me it's not.
Working has been a routine for me.
Even during the weekends.
Where I focus on my YouTube platform to inspire people.
To manifest life.
And to never lose hope.
Life gets boring when you're just slumping at home.
And do nothing that motivates you.
But this week is just the beginning of my burnout days.
Yes I am productive.
And I should be grateful that both jobs need me.
And want me to be part of their team.
And yes I should be grateful to my viewers and subscribers on this platform.
Where I could inspire people about the story of my life.
But what else outside these jobs and YouTube have I achieved?
Don't fret this is only temporary.
I keep on motivating myself that a month of these repetitive things would be okay.
And I hope it will be.
