#crossbow#killerinstinct#crossbowreview#killerinstinct#dieselx#crossbowreviewThe world of crossbows has seen tremendous advancements in recent years, and the Killer Instinct Diesel X Crossbow, launched in 2023, is a testament to the new technology and innovation within this industry. I had the opportunity to thoroughly test and review the Diesel X Elite Package on the range, supplied complete and (almost) ready to hunt with a Lumix Speed-ring adjustable 1.5-5X illuminated scope, Rope Cocker, Quiver and 3 arrows with 100 gr. field tips, and rail lube. You’ll need to select a broadhead to be hunt-ready. See the guide in the resource section to assist in selecting a broadhead for hunting. This product review will delve into its design, performance, accuracy, and overall value for money.
Today in the outdoor lab we're going to look at the Killer Instinct Diesel X crossbow.
My first impressions of this as I unpacked this out of the box and put it together was
it's a pretty rugged unit. It's very interesting. It's a little bit heavy and my first thought when
I picked it up was the balance wasn't right but I realized that the handle here I can adjust along
the picatinny rail so I can adjust that make the balance point a little bit better. There's also a
mounting point here where you can use it with some kind of a tripod or a support if you decide
you want to do that. This crossbow retails for about 550 bucks and I realized that for
the price point this is really a good option for people. It's an adjustable butt stock.
I happen to like it a little bit farther out. The scope is a speed adjustable speed ring.
Trigger breaks pretty nicely at three and a half pounds and it's using their patented
X cam which this makes for a little bit of an easier cocking and as you draw it back
you'll notice that that's a benefit and it's a quiet crossbow.
It fires nicely. I grouped it at 20 yards. It's got a BDC reticle in the scope so you can dial it in at
20 yards and I tested it at 30 yards and 40 yards and all three reticles seem to work pretty well.
Diesel X from Killer Instinct. Really nice entry-level crossbow. The whole package comes together
with the crossbow, three bolts with field tips, quiver, cocking mechanism. You can get a case for it
which is a really pretty nice case for another 100 bucks and this is a ready to hunt crossbow.
